AI does not fire at practice target
Wiki replied to Wiki's topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Well, it works, but one time only. The unit fires a single shot and that's all. What I'm looking for is for the unit to fire at the target and reengage it. -
SITREP I've begun to work on the 1st mission. However, gotta stop for a bit, going to London for the weekend... and gonna meet Kydoimos :-)

Hey guys, my question still stands. For now, the guys in turret are always out of cover. Is there a way to force them sit in the vehicle?

AI does not fire at practice target
Wiki replied to Wiki's topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Just tried, doesn't work. I used forceweaponfire command and fire command and nothing. It's weird cause it used to work before, even just dotarget and dofire but id no longer does now. -
Works great! Thanks a lot!

Thanks, gonna try this :-) Good to know. Do you have the command?

OPFOR is a generic term. As stated, it means OPposing FORce aka the enemy / the guys you're fighting. For example, US vs UK conflict: To US soldiers, UK soldiers are the OPFOR. And to UK soldiers, US soldiers are the OPFOR. But in conflict with UK and US standing together, US and UK are both BLUFOR. OPFOR = OPposing FORce (Enemy units) BLUFOR = BLUe FORce (Friendly units) In addition, you also have Green which, as previously stated, is allied.
-
@Weirdok What didn't you understand?
-
In NATO (I think) or at least US military code: BLUFOR = US/NATO force OPFOR = Opposing Force = The enemy Plus, Green is also used as "allied". For example, in Afghanistan, the ANA is "green". Hence, when you have "blue on blue", it means friendfly fire. "green on blue" means "allied fire on friendly".

Tanks will be the last DLC. You can only rely on community for more SP missions.

Hi. I restarting East Wind from the beginning, and 2 things about the gear persistent: 1) in Win, there is not from one mission from another (except for the last one between Preventive Diplomacy and Paradise Found) For example, I finish Resurgent West with an AT launcher and ammo but in air superiority, whole my gear is reset. In every mission in which we have a briefing, the gear is reset. 2) although it does work in Survive and Adapt, if I replay the mission, it's the same: for example, I begin a mission with Katiba GL and ARCO during the 1st playthrough, but when I replay it my gear is reset. Is it normal? Can this be fixed? Thanks EDIT: Point 1) is still valid I feel it's also because of the briefing screen instead of the natural flow from 1 mission to another. Anyway, when I finish a mission in Win, I'd like to keep my gear from 1 mission to another.

SITREP I'm willing to go for a new big project. It will take a lot of time and dunno if I will achieve this. I could need a lot of help, especially for making templates or making cutscenes. If interested, please PM

Community Upgrade Project - CUP Terrains
Wiki replied to CUP's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Ah ok. I was just wondering whether there was another possibility or not, thanks. -
Cool story bro.

Always try without mods. Mods = modification. If it's fine in vanilla version, then that's all.

Same question here, thanks. -
NP. Just to be sure, do you make a file check on steam after every update?

[Poll] Number of mods requested for usermade missions
Wiki replied to Wiki's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Well, if you use CUP, you have to use CBA. Agree for the AI mods, they break the mission very often. And yes, your last point is definitely a problem - but it's up to mission maker to update their work. -
Hi guys. Creating this poll because 1) it can be an interesting information for any mission maker 2) there are sometimes some missions on the WS that could be interesting but too many mods are requested (IMHO). So, just wanted to know what you think about that.
-
Yes, but it's sometimes after.
-
Am I the only one experiencing this or not? And yes, it's definitely because of the briefing screen. In the whole campaign, any other mission which doesn't have a briefing screen is all right.
