  1. might be just me but seem to get a 10-15 second delay when firing a script example is nielsons cim module when i tell a civ to get down it now takes 10-15 secs to play the sound. I also noticed on the navigation lights script also delays and has slowed strobe flashing down as well. mso takes ages to load now as before fired up quick at the moment it has just taken 7 minutes till it completed all scripts running
  2. might be worth adding the cim module to this 1 for both teams if civs do go on the offensive give a way to handle them arrest search detain them if they have dropped weapons or concealed itemsthanks for the alpha

Real worth while addon this 1 with some great features credit to you nielson I have an idea or 2. 1 Civ spotter\dicker gets on a motorbike moves gets off gets binos out changes waypoints 2-3 times gets back on bike moves to another postion to watch carries radio or mobile has map and binos classed as illegal for arrest ability 2 bombmakers random civs carrying banned items for bomb manufacture can be arrested if found carrying items 3 large amounts of cash or drugs or guns in civs car boots have a cargo of drugs or guns or money once stopped check cargo of car boot if found arrest 4 when a civ gets killed have the civ woman come over to the body neal and cry over it so any civs killed this may or may not happen like the massacer bit you have 5 civ taliban mounted motorbike patrols or taliban mounted pickup's where they all are in the back of pick up rollin round lookin for a fight Hope there not to bad ideas.

    About the prize i have toh bought it as soon as it came out could there be a better prize availible like a bi made addon you have 3 months to make a addon for the winners for top prize how about some new baf kit working models in game. As im sure most of us have already supported our bi by buying the game already and shame on you if you have not already .

    Thanks guys for the explanation shame about sketchup I seem to be able to model fast with it so easy to use but if it cant do the job its got to go. I got blender and milkshape last night are these ok tools to use seem a bit easier then 3ds max and oxygen2 ill have a play and get used to modo and see if I can correct the model I already have.   8. hi all had some issues posted on armaholis any 1 else getting this after beta install Not sure whats going on with this patch but i have issues after installing it last night i only run arma and 7 on my pcs main hd i installed the beta last night and things got weird got fraps to show it didnt didnt just happen the 1 time i have 2 fraps on different islands After i installed the beta i tried to rerun the bitools and arma2ptools to carry on with my maps and it stopped working so after all day today trying to sort it. I am at the point that the 2 boxed versions of arma2 and oa i own will no longer install i have had wrong cd key after it has installed so i uninstalled and tried to install in a back up drive this loaded amra2 so went to patch it and now it crashes every time saying error found in addons\air.pbo (00000000!=00000001) it does it with the oa patches aswell rendering my game usless the game installs but wont patch nothing has updated or changed in my pc from turning it off last night to turning it on this morning the only thing is the beta had no probs with rc1.60 but this new 1 not so sure

    Jakerod i had that mate when you right click on add object of the chosen colour there is a window that shows you need to up the ratio so if its 1 then move to 3-4 and then do the slider for percentage of trees and simulate then you will see the amount generated took me 3 days to work that out on the first page it is not showing in that image but it pops up next to analise image button

    ok cheers ill try that dam irratating I thought these days were well behind me If I have a valid p\drive 1.59 and then after the beta is installed bulldozer wont see the valid 1.59exe it wants to fire off the beta exe to launch bulldozer it knockes out the valid 1.59 and cant open so needs arma2ptool to install it from what ive seen after its put the beta exe in it works normally till now lol if i leave the 1.59 and dont run the arma2ptool i get it saying mismatch of shaders and exe in bulldozer so not sure what it is i see what your saying but my computer says no untill i run arma2ptool ---------- Post added at 03:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:03 PM ---------- ---------- Post added at 03:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:10 PM ---------- hi sick i just rerun bitools in differante drive and i get the map open in bulldozer now only missing oa textures it says but the arma2ptool now wont process all the files i get this now and then it shuts it if its to small the image it says the depbo corrupted sha key
  11. Hi all updated to the new patch i installed the bitools and arma2ptool again to account for the patch and visitor was fine. Then out came the new beta 1.60 http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=10988 and went to reinstall bitools and arma2ptool and now it errors on shaders in the dosbox and closes do you think this could be the beta messin with it as I have done this over and over every time a beta is released its been fine but now I cant get back in visitor or bulldozer just says mismatch of shaders and no world config error

    It doesn't make sense to me either but that's what has happened as arma2ptool takes the whole arma2 drive including the beta folder and processes it there is no way to tell it to leave the beta folder out. With 1.59 i had to do the same as above with every beta I installed or it wont open try it and you will see for your self arma2ptool sees every thing as it unpacks every thing including any @ folders in the arma2 directory I have done this so many times now its standard for me to get back in bulldozer after any beta arma2 or oa betas have been installed does any 1 else get this or have to do the above as cant see it just being me that has to do this after a beta

    its not a choice once beta is installed bulldozer no longer opens as its using the old exe and shaders and the arma2ptool updates it to work with the new beta data then works again if you dont run it you wont gety it to work again cheers mate its winding me up

    I think your missin the point arma2p tool takes the beta if its installed and adds it in the dta folder for you so its automaticly done for you i always install betas so there in my drive even if i dont use it how do you get it to use normal exe if arma2p tool replaces the normal exe with beta 1 its gone and replaced

    cheers sick boy i always redo the tools and arma2p tool after a beta install or it wont match the shaders i have had this numerous times and that is how i fix it when i get the above error as if there is some thing different in the beta the old bitools and arma2p dont know about it it wont load bulldozer so needs updating to the new patch try it and you will see what i mean when I installed the rc1.60 it would not open bulldozer so I done the above and it works if you have installed 1.60 try opening a island on a previous patch and you will see what i mean you need to do the above to get it working again I cant see how you manage to update patch and not tools and still have it working I only use or have arma2p tool 2.5.1 i have always got round this error but am stuck ill try what you say now mate cheers you have to rerun bitools when arma2p crashes in the dosbox with errors saying cant do this or that and stops install

    Hi ice breaker and thanks mate any intel you have ill be glad to take i have the exact area but am lackin on the actual village lay outs and building type i saw there were 2 round houses in the village and would like to make some if i can @tpw thanks buddy I hope so too it will be my xmas prez to you all as a thank you to all who have helped and guided my way to learning the Map making nightmare that is arma2 Is there an addon maker out there that would like to join us to make some enemy to fit these new islands IRA Taliban and west side boys 1 Could do with some help for sounds for sangin walking on snow sound and help to set it in cfg 2 Any ILS information to set an airstrip in Sierra 3 Winter grass and trees if there is any Also we got the belfast Ardoyne area a small pvp map that me and Sleepingbag from 3 PARA are working on ill post when we have something worth showing.

    hi all im working on a new island Sierra Leone is a 10 x 10 km map it focuses on the areas of operation Barras, from were the west side boys captured some members of the UK forces. The villages will be as good as the game allows for accuracy. Features: Terrain types Dry dusty red soil Dense Jungle High grass Swamps Low palm fields Few main roads Few small villages Uk base to work from Is there any round houses addons out or up for use to make it feel more african as there part of the village that got attacked and would look great i am making some but thought why invent the wheel again. Idid see some in the arma1 african map pictures did it ever come to fruit bushwars @shezan finnaly got WT working and may i say thanks for what you have made i have put more objects down in a couple of hours than the time it took to do sangin 7-8 months now is there any plans to have min max size added for trees and bushes say 50 -125 randomne's Also have a winter sangin thank's to bushlurker for the texture ill drop them in a week or 2

    Hi mikebart i have used your rocks finnaly got them showing with textures now and i would like to say thank's and how good they look. I have them on hellskitchen sangin is there permissions on these models to change the texture colour to the takistan type colours so they match in with the taki soil type would be great if you or i could do that just to match diffrent enviroments. Also if there is no permission on them can I release the rocks pbo in my hellskitchen folder or do you prefer a link to them on armaholics thanks again and keep up the great work.
  19. Hi all i will be releasing Sangin this weekend final version so will update this guide after the weekend when i have more time. I will also be adding new info to it what i have learnt and some most basic problems and how to get round them sorry its been so long in comming but had to bury my mum a few weeks ago so im getting back into arma2 again also I have a 10km x 10km Seria leon map on way for OP Barra action with the west side boys this wont take long as i will use the world tools for this 1 and mostly jungle and 26 huts for main target large river system
  20. Hi all I am at the stage that sangin hellskitchen is near a final release this is the last 1 I am doing but need some help if any 1 can. I have custom sounds pack that I use on sangin in missions but they are always too big in missions so is there a way of using the sounds as a pbo. I have made a pbo of sounds they pbo all right but then don't show in editor in the trigger effects I can see all ace ones and reezo eod so know it can be done just cant see it Can I get some help to show them please as they add so much to the content of game play and make missions smaller if I can call them from a pbo rather than the mission and also want to release them with the new version as I have now a 8 grid system for gps might see if I can get a 10 grid ref just want to get it sorted for release this week thanks all is there a limit mb on sound if its to big it wont show i know in the paste bin cfg the path was wrong i have fixed that but still it does not show in editor here's pastbin link http://pastebin.com/Agr05DrA

    Hi Reezo love this mod but cant seem to get any sound from the thor back pack so I just put your eod script in so now have thor backpack and eod device hand held and I have sounds from device but cant get it to pick up your ambient ieds module. Is there a way to combine the 2 so you have a working jammer and the device that works with the module or just preplaced ieds like in your demo mission to inject if possible to explode ieds thank's for the great work you do With the thor back pack is there a turn on off feature like the new metal detector in the latest ace menu or is it meant to work out the box
  22. @FLv*VeNoM* you can load taki locals in pick ups to ride and sit on sides of pickups ive used them its the pkm pickup group units and use in cargo and they sit on tail gate and sides of pickup looks cool and also use 2 up taki locals on motorbikes the old type not the offroad's looks cool 2 @miles looks great mate also have you done anything with the lobo taliban pack as no one has yet brought out some local taliban fighters fedien taliban and the insurgent taliban for any afghan maps yet if your not my offer is still there to port them and update them as they would look cool on my Sangin map its the only thing that's missing as there is the ANA and ANP out which are very good but no taliban to fight.

    Hi all i think i downloaded the binlarden compound architects hand drawings of that building some were if needed let me know and ill dig it out for you as i got loads of intel for my abbottobad map. Also would be cool if buildings could be breached like walls doors and windows like vbs2 would add loads to the great work you have done already ps looks great so far patiently waiting for this one
