  1. I found the parameter for capturing towns when it comes to speed. Just changed it from 1 to 4 'cause my towns are four times bigger. But how about camps? I feel that they take like a week to capture. I wonder if this maybe be like that with the newest Gossamer's to balance it out with AI capping camps. OR is it in relation to my bigger towns? Airfield is 200 instead of 50 and so on!

    Tanks are really unrealistic

    The tanks are maybe too slow. I don't know how fast they are in the real world. BUT The armor penetration is a bigger problem. Thank god there is the ACE mod. Too bad there isn't any servers running ACE and Warfare.

  4. Worked great, thanks! The changes are: (Takistan v. 0.1) * 100k starting cash. * 10k town capture. * 1.2k camp capture. * Towns for AF = 4. (Half) * Double the cash (and supplies) from towns. * Modded logo.jpg. This made it better suiting for 1on1. You dont need to take that many towns. It's faster.   6. DONE! Changes, Takistan: * 5000 for capping a town. * 1000 for capping a camp. * 100 000 starting money. * Air Factory = 4. * Changed logo.jpg. This will make it a little bit faster I think 1on1. I miss one thing though. The town supply points. 80 --> 160, 140 ---> 280 and so on. Is this easy for ME to change?

  8. I have the Steam version and it works perfect. Just using Steam for the downloading. After the download you can actually UNINSTALL Steam and use a launcher instead. Works great even with online gaming. I've tried that in W7 and XP. And I use a ramdisk as well. However, I'm not liking the idea with Steam only. Forcing you to actually have Steam running and such. But the way it works today is great. zzZzzZZzzZZZ Good night!
  9. 1. Yeah I know about BIS skill (from Zeus AI). I did however believe that your parameter changed how BIG/Strong (how many tanks and such) the defending force would be. Now I know. :) The difference isn't that big then. "Green" can still kill you pretty easy. How bad is an AI with 0.0001 in skill? 2. Alright, I see! Nothing for me then. :) 3. Maybe adding some values. 30000, 90000, 200000 and so on? Of course in the right format. That wont broke the mission? Extending the array that is. 4. Nice! Hmm, did I see something like "// Towns required for AF = 0" somewhere? I looked in the Takistan one for like 2 minutes. Thanks for your answers Gossa! I do not suck completely at modding though. :) I know how to add, change and delete some basic stuff. The biggest problem is finding what to change. Ok, i'm very tired right now so this is even more "fuzzy" than usual. Changes that I will make (1on1 faster game): X High resources. Or not. Money (towns) should matter. X 200k start cash. Allowing mass AI Tank capping. X AF= 4 on Takistan. faster air. 8 towns a little too slow 1on1. That should do it. Starting with 4 towns would be the best solution but thats impossible right? (Hope you understand this crazy english!) xD
  10. Most of the time I play 3.03.b3. 3k is not enough. :) Right now, I got 7 servers running Gossamer's. 1x - v2.11 - 0 players. 1x - v.3.02 - 0 players. 2x - 3.02.b3 - 5+2 players. (both Chernarus) 3x - 3.03.b3 - 5+12+0 players. (2 Cherbarus and 1 Takistan.) Not too easy finding a good server with Takistan on as you can see. :/ And with the newest version. But my biggest concern is the "fly-boys"-"late-joiners". BONUS: 1. How does the AI difficulty work? I tried "green" today on a local server. Wow, they were not easy at all! 2. A parameter for starting towns? Or maybe a LITE version with just 10 cities and double the money. Three or two towns allows AF and so on. Is it hard for ME to change this?   11. Yeah, this is a big problem. Some players do that all the time. Never capping towns. Just joining late and buying the cool stuff. Also, the change of bounty for capping towns is not enough imo. BUT: GREAT WORK GOSSA! It's getting better and better! Like I said before, I can't play any other Warfare now.
  12. Yeah I agree! I don't like the armor hitpoints in Arma 2. ACE does this better.
  13. I don't talk about any extra AI. I can still buy inf to man these guns from barracks. The engie paratroops should count towards the max squad size. Just as usual. Never taking any towns and such. Or they just jump out and switch player slot. Boom, they got 100k again. Doing nothing. (I know that the player ID-thingy will be fixed like in Bennys.) I would like to see a BIG money boost from capturing towns. To get people more active.
  14. Hmm, what is usefull when capturing towns... I'm starting with the engie: The problem with the building stuff is that they come unmanned. And 'cause you dont have paratroops it takes a long time to buy units. They need to run/drive a long distance. ALT 1: Maybe a mini paratroop of just 2 engies for a high price? Like 2000. Or crewmen. ALT 2: OR, maybe some buildings could come manned for a higher price. That's not too offensive though.
  15. @Ginger McAle: Yeah but it's easy to tell the difference between the versions. First thing I notice is the lvl up prices. There are around 6 open EU servers playing Gossagamer's. 4-5 playing Chernarus and 1-2 playing Takistan. 1/6 is playing older version than 3.02. @GossamerSolid: Thank god you haven't lost anything. :) Hmm, I have some thoughts when it comes to the classes: Team Leader: Paratroops = Best thing ever. Artillery = Yeah, it can do some damage. Medic: Heal others and himself = Practical but nothing more. Build FH = Yeah, but ambulances are cheaper. Field Hospital costs like 10k and you have to be Col. Engie: Repair stuff = Yes, it's neat. But I always have to go a city depot to fully repair it. Bulding stuff = It's fun but you (or AI) have to man it. I have to say that the TL is best when it comes to capturing towns. And you do that a lot, like the first hour or so. :) Medic and Engie are good but they haven't any FUN stuff to play with. Imo they need more candy in the class menu. It's a matter of taste.

  17. The message system worked fine today when I tried. Too bad there is more bad public servers than good running Gossamer's. A real shame. At least for me in EU. Are there any ongoing tourments or such with Gossamer's? Would be fun to watch or even play.   20. Don't remember exactly. But is was on Chernarus north east. I have never seen a message when I destroy buildings with rockets in heli/plane. Haven't tried any other weapons. But I always seem to see when other players destroy things. Yeah, I've played like 12/24h now. That's pretty good huh? :)
  21. Just my bugged brain i guess. I changed one parameter and it worked! :) Still, what is the players motivation in this? Bigger guns? Cooler stuff (apaches), money, rank or what? What is the goal? Doing missions till you die? :)
  22. I tried it a few minutes @Takistan in SP. "WOW" is the first thing that comes up in my mind. I recruited some guys and went out on patrol. Took care of some inf. I tried a tank. Got kicked out right away "need to be crewman...". I saw on youtube that the guys used a tank. Do you call in vehicles and tanks? Can you get apaches and similar goodies? :) Will try this more when I see a populated server not too far away. GREAT WORK!
  23. Yeah, my team owned it. I just joined the server and looked for towns to capture. I saw a blue one and headed that way. When I tried to choose it as a mission i couldn't find it in the list. I asked my team mates and indeed, it was already captured. NEWBIE QUESTION: I don't see messages in chat when I destroy enemy buildnings. However I can see when other players destroys buildings. I was using the TKA HIND and rockets. 100% sure that the buildings went down. EDIT: I have trouble playing other Warfare now. Missing some of the great stuff in Goss's. :)
  24. Yes, the Mi-8 (Rockets) and the Takistani Hind are cheap and pack a punch. Not light and swift though. The Ka-60? could work. But I don't think BIS will ever add that to Opfor. But you never know. :) I've played this Warfare pretty much lately. Most often it works great. But i've seen the following bugs: (not just me) * Team mate invisible on map. Just one of them. * Captured town still blue on map. (I joined after the town was captured). * Team Leader paratroop not working. Note that they didn't occour at the same time. It was different servers and maybe different versions. But mostly on the newest version. And to be honest, some servers stinks.
