Good evening, The Regiment of International Forces: Land and Aerospace has been in existence for a small total of six months. This means that we're halfway onto being in existence for year. During the course of these six months we have taken hundreds of screen -shots for public display. To sum this up we have created a small two-minute video with some high-quality pictures taken in the heat of battle from the last six months. Please sit back, and enjoy this video: -

Having several years of experience in military simulation using ArmA II, we're looking for new faces in our community. Any talent is welcome to our community. As of right now we emphasise on expanding our infantry section and improving tactics that come along with it. We organise training sessions on Thursday and deployments on Sunday. Both start at about 20:00 GMT +0. We offer a good and qualitative environment for new members and encourage efforts in both training sessions and grand-scale deployments to areas in conflict. We offer the following: Mature community High-grade professionalism Realistic combat scenarios Team-play with others Helpful environment Good experience If you're interested in enlisting for the Regiment of International Forces: Land and Aerospace, be sure to check out our website and forums located at http://www.riflescommunity.com We hope to see you on the battlefield! -
Need help setting up Yoma's AddonSync
Rionrace posted a topic in ARMA 2 & OA - Servers & Administration
Good day there lads, Just recently have I tried to install AddonSync on my community website for multiple times. I can make the repository and add-ons, upload it to the server itself but when I tried to import the server settings manually, it states that it fails. I have tried a lot of things, and I need help to set this wonderful tool up. Preferably something through Teamviewer or Skype help. Thank you in advance. -

(My last post) Can anybody still help me by telling me why ArmA 2 said that dsound.dll is not connected even though it is not used in 1.4? When sixupdater ran with the beta, it suddenly worked. What's going on? -

Thank you for helping my Heaney, but I've got everything up to date undoubtedly. I've got Combined Operations version 1.60, TeamSpeak 3.0.6, Jayarma2lib_new and beta 92477 which is R59 on Sixupdater. I've got no idea why it doesn't work. Enlighten me! -

I have the beta installed and up to date already. I have version 2.9.5 (Dev) installed and I have jayarma2lib_new installed. I'm running everything as administrator. EDIT: When I launched it via sixupdater, it appeared that expansion and beta ran with it automatically, which worked! Is there something wrong with my main installation then? -

By "We have tried getting newer jayarma2lib versions from sixupdater" I meant jayarma2lib_new.. My mistake, I should've put that in there as well. I've got the beta box enabled anyway. Why would you run with CBA_A2 and CBA_OA? Just CBA is the Combined Operations version! -

I'm really coming at an end here! A few days ago we had some problems with a previous version of ACRE which was compatible with TeamSpeak version 3.0.3. We scheduled an organisation wide upgrade to TeamSpeak 3.0.6 and ACRE version 1.4. We've run into some new problems with dsound.dll and jayarma2lib. According to our game clients, dsound.dll is missing and that we should check our jayarma2lib installations. We have tried getting newer jayarma2lib versions from sixupdater, but that didn't help anything either. Even when dsound.dll is present, nothing is happening and we still get the same error message. -

TS3 Server IP: 176.56.226.229 Port: 10061 http://www.riflescommunity.com I. Introduction The Regiment of International Forces: Land and Aerospace is a new ArmA 2 community which puts the emphasis on simulating realistic military doctrines and structures. We're new a new community made of people with years of experience in the "Armaverse". We offer a unique military simulation experience for new members and we also heartly welcome newcomers to Arma who want to learn and experience a simulation style game. II. Structure and Organisation As “Land and Aerospace†suggests in our name, we put the emphasis on using an effective combination of different roles such as the Airwing and Infantry to accomplish our goals. Our ranking system and doctrines are loosely based on the system of several Western-European armies and specifically the British Armed Forces. III. Training We have a unique training system, in which new soldiers can easily attain new skills and possibly enhance the chance of getting promotions and/ or awards for effort. We try to train as much as possible in order to keep both the Infantry section and the Airwing as smooth and combat-ready at all times to ensure victory when in our Operations. We have pre-set training on Thursdays around 19:00 GMT, though eventually we do an extra training. Our training isn’t always the same boring things though, we include a lot of variety in our training schedules. We train simple things such as formations aswell as more advanced maneuvers in which the Airwing and Infantry work closely together. IV. Deployment Every Sunday at 19:00 GMT we organise a mission or deployment, often part of larger campaigns. This means that all the soldiers and pilots will be deployed to a combat area which is usually in a foreign environment/country. You can always check your sections' task and assets in the Forums beforehand in the Briefing which is posted before every deployment. The lessons taught from previous training sessions come in very useful here. This is where all the soldiers are put to the test to see if they know what they trained and have a chance to see how effective their new methods are. If the soldiers has participated in at least two missions of a campaign, he will be awarded with a special ribbon of remembrance to that specific campaign. Aside from that, he may also earn other awards or ribbons for exceptional skill or actions together with members of his section. V. Infantry section and Airwing Infantry Our Infantry Sections are the bulk of our organisation, they form our power on the battlefield against hostiles and those who we battle. To their disposal are several lightly-armoured vehicles and a number of notable British firearms and other NATO/European weapon systems. Their task may seem simple in general, but it has proven to be a very difficult task due to all the hostiles and setbacks they have to endure. Luckily, our training programme makes these soldiers as prepared as possible. This means that they should be combat-ready at all times. It may seem that the general point of our Infantry Section is to eliminate any opposition or enemies, the reality is far from that. Outside of active-combat missions, the Infantry Sections also deploys on scenarios like convoy escorting or compound/base protection missions. Recruits are usually assigned to one of our Infantry Sections when they have passed their recruitment phase and have shown to be a member capable of helping the team. Airwing Working narrowly together with the Infantry Sections, our Airwing has a few differences that distinguish them from the Infantry. The Airwing is the secondary fighting force in our community. Aside from that they carry a big responsibility in terms of (logistical) support. The Airwing has a very wide amount of tasks, they have a big role in supporting the Infantry Sections when it comes to logistical support. An example of the logistical support is the transport of troops and supplies from point A to B. Even though it doesn't sound thrilling, the task is hard with hostiles often near enough to shoot at the Aircraft. Transport of Infantry from locations is also very important for overall success and efficiency of a mission. But it isn't only the transport of Infantry Sections, but also special vehicles like armoured land-rovers and supplies like ammunition, medical supplies and static weapons. Again these logistical items are of huge importance to the overall success of a mission/deployment. Support isn't exclusively logistical, there are a number of other roles that are also very important for the Infantry Sections to function well. An example is direct or indirect fire support from the skies above, aswell as intelligence reports as they are the additional ears and eyes of the Infantry sections on the ground. Recruits or soldiers that wish to apply for a pilot career in our Airwing are required to have been a member for a number of weeks before they can apply for a pilot job in our Airwing. Pilots are considered to be Officers, starting at the rank of Pilot Officer (Plt. Off). VI. Recruitment - Interested? We’re looking for dedicated and experienced people when it comes to military simulation within Armed Assault or ArmA II. We have our rules and regulations concerning recruitment, but as long as members stick close to them and show that they are keen to learn new things it isn’t that bad. We are looking for people who can work under stress and have a certain flexibility in combat. But in the end we’re doing this to have fun, and that is our primal goal in the community. People need to able to have a good sense of humour. If you get offended too quickly, the Regiment of International Forces may not be the right place for you. Overall, we don’t ask a lot from our members, it’s not very strict and most things should fit if you want to join a military simulation community like the Regiment of International Forces. Please take a look at the following criteria: > You own a legal copy of ArmA II: Combined Operations ( Operation Arrowhead + ArmA II); > You are willing and eager to learn when necessary; > You have a mature attitude and can work under pressure; > Can understand the basics of the English language; > Having a working microphone (Plus TeamSpeak 3); Have enough time to attend at to least two training sessions; If you believe to be eligible for to be a member in our community you can register on our forums and take a look at our enlistment form in the recruitment section. -
