    It's really a insoluble problem ... I did some calculations and speculations about that a few days ago and i think that 0.75 is just a compromise found by BI for a good game-play and 0,375 is just 0.75/2, that's all.     Hello TiborasaurusRex, I don't have your expertise but, in ArmA3, it can't be these values, or more exactly, one of these two values is wrong. Why ? Before, some conditions : First : i assume that the BI MilDot reticle is correctly calibrated : 1 meter for 1000 meter (6283,2 mRad or ~ 6400 mils), it seems to be. Second : fovTop=0.75; We have 2 zooms in game with our sniper-scopes : an opticsZoomMin = 0.01; the biggest and an opticsZoomMax = 0.04; the smallest. So the zoom ratio for these scopes is 1 for 4. If you estimate at 10x magnification the smaller reticle, the second must be a 40x reticle and viceversa with the 25x magnification, the scope will become a 6.25 - 25x magnification. Make your choice.:p Because my english is bad, i hope that is comprehensible for you and you will understand that 10-25x is partially wrong. My evaluation on my 23.5' 16/9 monitor (7.5-30x magnification) is just empiric and subjective and this "0.3" must be seen as a compromise between game design, game-play and hardware. I'm not sure that a absolute "unit of zoom" exists because ArmA3 is just a game and we don't have the same monitor but i'm sure that "0.3" could be better than the BI "0.75" or "0.375".:p Good Sunday for all. :)

    Can we expect animated turrets ? :p Great feature but i think that the fundamental problem for a optic 2D, 3D or Pip scope is always the same on ArmA1/2/3 : a accurate opticsZoom(min/max/discretefov) value for the Magnification in game. Example with the scyfi "2035" LRPS scope 18-75x (or the SOS, it's the same), in the "weapons_f" config.cpp, the opticsZoomMin formula is simple : initFov/zoom, so 0.75/75=0.01 Quick try with the first zoom 18x : opticsZoomMax = 0.75/18 approximately 0.04 But 0.75 can't be the "unit of zoom", it's not a 75x Mil Dot or a 18x Mil Dot in game. It's the same with 0.375, the minFov. Quick calculation to find the zoom with 0.375 : 37.5-9.375x or approximately a 37-9x. Not good too. In my modest opinion, 0.3 could be a correct "unit of zoom" (approximately 8-30x magnification for the LRPS and SOS scopes) and i hope that all moders will stop to use the arcadish 0.75 - 0.375 BI values to calculate their opticsZoom.     Hello Ruthberg, as mentioned by DGeorge85, when i use your mods as the same time and open the Kestrel , i have a message : "Script advancedballistics\fnc_calculate_wind_speed.sqf not found" the Kestrel don't work correctly.     Hi Ruthberg, A beautiful addition for CSE modules and announcement for their users but i am a little anxious, this means that you will stop "AdvancedBallistics" as a stand-alone addon ? A another question for all experts of this thread, we have a brilliant ballistic for Arma3 but what about the scope ? Two scopes FFP 18-75x with Mil-dot reticle for the long range shooting : SOS and LRPS scope. But i suppose that you will be agree with me, it's not a 18x mil-dot or a 75x mil-dot on our screens ? On my 23" monitor, i estimate the mil-dot approximately as a 8x and a 30x mil-dot, do you think that is correct ? I am very sorry for my bad english, have a good day.

    Hello Beazley, in your config.cpp, just add "A3_UI_F_HELI" for the "requiredAddons" in the "class CfgPatches" and it will be fixed : requiredAddons[] = {"A3_UI_F", "A3_UI_F_HELI"}; Hope that will help you.:)

    [Campaign] Operation Aegean Spear

    Bonjour, I tried yesterday and today : crash. If i download your campaign via Steam, and only via Steam (important), "Operation Aegean Spear" appears in the "Scénarios" panel and when i selected it, the game crashs. If i download it via ArmaHolic and do a manual installation in a "Campaigns" folder, "Operation Aegean Spear" appears in the "Campagnes" panel and works perfectly. I suppose that it could be better to make your campaign as a addon, like "Deliverance" by Sarge Studio, it's works perfectly too. Hope that my post is understandable and help you. My apologies for my poor english. Bon courage.:)

    Hi Ruthberg, just a little bug report, it's not possible to change the AdvancedBalllistics keys since the 2.4 version, he doesn't appear in the "CONFIGURE ADDONS" but works fine. No problem for the Kestrel and the Atrag. Someone can confirm (or not) ? Thanks a lot for your fantastic addon. My apologies for my poor english.
