64bit is always better but also more prone to cause problems eventually with such a poorly supported software like the arma2 server.

We where running arma2 latest dedicated server without problems until a few days ago. Then I installed OA in my arma2 directory on my PC, copied the new files to the server and installed OA dedicated server 1.56. Now the following error is showing in the logs and the server is not displayed in the server list nor can in find it with IP. Warning Message: No challenge value was received from the master server. The file size increases drastically. For example, a skin.paa i have is 59KB, once converted to .tga its 16 MB large. Now when I modify the .tga with PS or GIMP to a simple colour, and then convert it back with PAAtool, the new .paa is 1.3 MB. Could someone please kindly advice how I can reduce the file size?

Bad lock radius 55.1483 This error keeps showing up all over the log file. Any idea what is causing this and how to fix it? thx

Note sure what else I can provide apart from the error. This error is appearing row after row in the log file without anything else in between.

Wow, thanks a lot guys, very helpful. Do I have to repeat "addmagazine" as many times as mags are required or is there a shortcut? I also tried "this addequipment" for NVGoggles, did not work. Is there a list with all those add commands? (Can not find them in "New_Scripting_Commands_List")

Unfortunately this isn't as straight forward as I thought. The Weapon and Mag. names that have to be specified don't correspondent with the names in the Item list. Where can I find the correct names? I'm trying to use this also with RH weapon addons. Thx

Thank you for your quick reply. Your arma2.cfg solved the first couple of error however the last error, which is probably the reason I cant find the server prevails. Item str_disp_server_control listed twice Also, am I using the correct server version (arma2server-1.05.62021)? I noticed on the official Arma2 page is only one version available which is newer but labelled OA. I think the problem might be that the server is not listening. netstat -a | grep LISTEN does not show anyhting ArmA2 related. Any idea how to fix that? EDIT: all working now.

Hi Guys, I've got a massive problem. I used to have the DVD version of OA - no problems at all. I gave the DVD version to a friend and got myself the digital version (not steam). After reinstallation the game asked me for the original DVD, so i uninstalled again, went in the registry and manually deleted all references to OA and than reinstalled. Well that solved the DVD problem but now all Units have no legs and are stuck in the ground, I can join servers but I'm unable to move. When I exit the game or alt+tab my PC freezes. The only thing I can think of is to remove the game, clean reg and reinstall, but since I've done that already I'm really clueless what to do. Someone suggested I might have triggered FADE. Edit: Just tried another clean install, the problem persists. Really appreciate you help with this. Thank you.

I've got a few questions. Are 1000 GB per month enough for a dedicated server that would have max. 20 players at peek or will we have potentiality more traffic? Did anyone run into trouble using the Linux server version on Ubuntu? Did anyone have problems using a Virtual server? Thanks
