Only "Dawn of War I". Not "Dawn of War II". But yes, they gave permission to use the models in mods etc., as long as it is non-profit. Same thing with the stuff from "Stalker". And yeah, the models arent meant for porting, since they would look quite shitty in ArmA 2. But they are perfect as a reference to base other stuff upon, because since they all come from the same source, they are allready have the correct correlating sizes. Hey, I was with the (still active) WH40K mod for OFP. Although my models where mostly self-made or kitbashes, I also used some from Dawn of War. All Dawn of War models are open source if they are used in a non-profit way, so this game is a great way to get some basics layouts to base ArmA-addons upon. At least for some more distant LODs they should be fine So if you are looking for some basic stuff, go to http://s1.zetaboards.com/OFPWH40K/index/ and get the addons. I dont think anyone has anything against it, but to be sure make a thread and ask for permission to use them in ArmA II. My name was CSM over there, and you can use all my stuff if you want.

I have Combined Operations, that is I installed ArmA 2, Patch 1.07, Arrowhead, Patch 1.54, and British Armed Forces, (in that order), and the mod works perfectly. Many only install ArmA 2 and then Arrowhead, but while it works, you then only have ArmA 2 version 1.06, not 1.07.

Metal Gear and ArmA somehow fit very well together. MGS is SciFi, but still this "realistic" kind of Military SciFi.

You are the guy providing the MiG-21 to IceBrakr right? Just wanted to thank you personally. I know BIS focussed on ground-attack planes, but I often wondered why they didnt include the MiG-21 anyway into ArmA, it being the most built jet fighter and all. I can see a nation like "Takistan" or "Chernarus" possessing a MiG-21 before a Su-25. So many thanks that you took the task to get that plane ingame.

Sorry, I already loocked into these planes, and they are just too old. To shine in ArmA II they need to be rebuild from scratch. Especially the cockpits. Well IrishDeviant MIGHT do a new F-14, since it got a lot of votes, apart from that I dont know whats in the pipes. Im currently busy with my own project.

Yes, an Umbrella Corporation addon would be cool. We already got the SUV and the Aerospatiale AS350 helicopter (from Resident Evil: Extionction), now a simple reskin is all we need.

Its ok to port something if the original author doesnt respond. See the SA-6 Gainful addon, the guy who ported it didnt have the permission of the original author, but it was ok with the forum mods because he tried to contact him for three weeks to no avail.

The Sarmat-guys have an AN-12. Maybe hes in contact with them. I like the North Korea idea. Especially with a North Korea Map, with many canyons. Considering vehicles, each DLCs consists of 1-3 vehicles, what vehicles would you like to come with a North Korea pack? Whats "represantative" for the North Korean Army? And please nothing whats already ingame, no T-34s and no T-55s.

Do you want to make ArmA boring and only for hardcore military nerds? At the moment ArmA has the perfect balance between realism and fun. For the rest there are mods.

Could you do it with separate addons? Like an M134.pbo, a FFAR.pbo, in case someone like or doesnt like a particular modification?
