  3. satellite photo means that (almost) each texture is unique and by this you have a carpet of individual textures. traditional ofp island texturing is ~5to10 main textures and transitions between them.
  4. big thanks Rune and rest of SoW team hopefully tacrod can get it working in his cce mission again with this version just one suggestion: rework that post - someone who doesnt know SoW wont really understand this or at least lets say the presentation could be better what about some good structured summary with the use of bold, colors etc

  6. it shouldnt be about lag at all. (lag is network related delay anyway - low fps is what the guys are talking about. yet the resolution of texutres is related to low fps) its only about the texture limit (~550).

  8. yes i think it should work, yet you might better try it the other way round by extracting the change files from this one into your skypack'ed files. i will post the list of changed files later that day

    i didnt meant that you should be directly above the extraction point, but think of some bigger islands like gaia, samak hills etc - it you want to make full use of the terrain, it takes AGES for the chopper to fly - 30 seconds to 1 min is okay, but longer - if you do it 10, 20, 50 times ...

    maybe Malick or Pathetic_Berserker wanna give it a try about sp aspect with mapfact's respawn. AI should be able to revive you in theory, but it wouldnt work well. thats also why i said optional - to choose between current way and this new one

    yes i know well its possible to use it without this "being dead" part. of course one need to rewrite the part to get back to your vision once you are alive again. thats why i said "out of scope" put in on the 2do for the ArmA version as feature request: ~ once dead being able to view the reaming players actions

    maybe i am confused or sth the demo mission of DAC used mapfact's respawn as far as i can remember - the cam was set to view the dead body directly from above with some distance. so you can change that way already to some friendly forces following cam?

    tacrod can you plz look into mapfact's respawn by raedor  its a system to have your teams the ability to revive each other - limited times or infinite. please add this as an optional way of respawn system via param1/2  this makes a mission a LOT more immersive and forces players to actually play as a team  --link-- also i would suggest to change the current respawn to instant (?) like it was done in the other conversions. like being respawned where you died 10 seconds later. also a great thing to have for the chopper transport would be (optional ! ) that it isnt actually flying all the way to the destination but is beamed like 80-90 percent of the way (like once the chopper is in the air and got moving, small blackout scene and now the chopper is like 1km next to the destination (waypoint) - same for return). this would make your mission even better ! as you have to take into account that you dont want to have all the objectives next to your base, but flying long distances just takes too much time, if you do this more than a few times  maybe some guys like doing this  thats why i said optional. thanks for your effort Â

    raedor are markers optional, like possible to deactive them easily ? i think that one is outta scope - can you make it compatible to Kegetys observer cam ? Â Â (an option to have his camera types instead of the cam on the dead body)
