Its more of a newer card really, its an AlienWare m15x and has 1gb graphics and can run Crysis and COD on all high settings, the card is the least of the worries. I have tried downloading the drivers, nothing.. My computer is being a butthead in ways one day Arma 2 worked like an angel on all high settings, even the demo too anad then i download patch 1.05 and boom! everything screwed up again. Reinstalled and had the same problems. Even the requirments lab said I could run this game on all HIGH settings. Really I think its the HyperThreading of the i7 core. But I cant find the darn switch, I looked through the BIOS and could not find anything.

Ok like for real guys why Am I getting no help here. I keep trying to play ArmA one and two and I am getting horrible FPS issues!! I've done EVERYTHING to try and help this but nothing! Ive used the game booster, nothing. Ive updated my graphics card.. nothing, I defragged and used advanced system care.. nothing!!! I meet ALL the requirments yet these games do NOT work!? I have 2gb of ram free at ALL times and nothing! I use an Alienware m15x for god sake! How is it not working?? I had also tried to turn off HyperThreading.. where the hell is it?? In the BIOS? No.. I cant find it and im using an i7.. Its been 3 weeks since i Bought both Arma and Arma 2 and neither of them work.. They are brand new. One day they did work so I patched to 1.05 and it screwed it up again! Wtf! Why isnt anyone getting any answers to these problems!? I have 1gb of graphics memory and 3 gb of ram and 217gb avaible of hard drive this game SHOULD work!:confused::confused::mad::(

Hey what up all? Well some of my games are not working because of that stupid HyperThreading thing and really need help turning it off. I have gone to the BIOS menu at least 6 times and could not find the on/off switch. Uhmm.. any help here please? Heres my CPU Intel Core i7 720QM @ 1.60GHz Clarksfield 45nm Technology This is not just for Arma its for a hand full of games so this is clearly off topic.

1.18 fixes all of these problems for sure? Also how do you tell what patch your game is on?

Hey all, I've recently downloaded the Arma demo from FileFront, I load up the game and strangely the screen the just black, you can see the island in the background but its blue and the menu tabs are black with unreadable text..? I've seen a lot of others have this problem but I haven't found a answer to this. INFO: OS: MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit CPU: Intel Core i7 720QM RAM: 3.0GB Dual Channel DDR3 Graphics: Generic PnP Monitor 1600x900 NIVIDIA Geforce GT 240M Hard Drive Memory 280GB. 216GB Available I have also bought Arma 2 and it has a lot of FPS issues..? Yet I meet all the requirements. Some have said that patching to 1.18 fixes this but I have no idea what patch it is on cause the text is unreadable. Please help me find an answer to this I really wish to play this game! If you need any further info please just say so. Thank you!

Wow, I am disappointed in the developers for this game, they have had this problem for a year and they don't bother to fix it, non the less actually put up a guide on how to fix. It seems they dont care for us. I was hoping for a war sim, but all i got was a lagathon. I expect this to be fixed in the next patch because this is unbelievable that they would ignore their costumers with this..

Yesterday I bought ArmA 2 but I'm having these same problems.. I had it patched to 1.05 then uninstalled and back to patch 1.1. Then uninstalled again, defragged about 10 times, used CCleaner, cleaned my hard drive, then reinstalled and did the exact same thing again but the problem still consists. I went to SystemReq. Lab and I met all the requirements even above recommended. I even had 2gb RAM available at all times. Please please help me. I recently just got Arma 2 and I am having a serious annoying problom, LAG! I dont know how it lags but it lags like CRAZY! My System, Intel® Core i7 CPU 1.60GHZ 3GB RAM 64 Bit Windows 7 512mb Video any help? I meet ALL of the recs. and the demo worked perfectly fine no lag at all.
