Description: This a personal version of Domination edited for Single Player that I have been playing for some time now, thought it might be nice to share it with the community :) It is an edit of the Domi version 2_57. Everything is the same as you would expect, with the addition that this version also has friendly AI that will help you capture the AO's. It has friendly airforce patrolling over the entire map that will automatically assist you at the active AO's. It also contains the support module that enables you to call in friendly units (paradrop), ammo drops, unlimited mortar and artillery support and airstrikes. The airbase has been made more dynamic with AI units protecting and patrolling the airbase and a lot of extra armor, vehicles, planes and choppers and the airbase has been decorated more. Some of the towns also have some extra sounds and environment effects. If you play with the domination settings and remove the opfor armor from ao's it is quite balanced and doable in combination with the friendly AI. Depending on the ao route setting the airforce can be a bit of an overkill at the first 2 ao's, but that will also balance out along the way. Features: - custom ammo boxes - save gear loadout - bandages - extra vehicles (with respawn) (extra vehicles does not contain airlift script) - dynamic airbase - Friendly AI air patrols - airbase decorations - support module (press 0, 8) - extra sounds Installation: Extract the .pbo file(s) to your ArmA_OA\MPmissions folder. Notes: After you have requested extra units the units can be ordered into armor and choppers etcetera, they don't have to function as normal infantry. The mission needs to be played in Multi-player mode as always. Update notes (v.1.25): - You now have the ability to spawn at your location a: * MASH * TOW * M119 * M2 * Small Bunker * Sandbag wall * ATV * Trench * Smoke * Ordinance box - You can now also play dance animations and chill animations (for the fun of it). - Auto-saves and manual saving To compensate for the extra firepower that you can (unlimited) use I have reduced the amount of Friendly airforce patrols. To be honest, I havent tried anymore since the release. There were a couple of strips that I just could not take off. I always ended up in bushes and trees, because with the dirt rally I simply did not get enough speed to take off. The strip west of the main airport and the strip north of Altis was simply undoable.

Looks great, nice addition! Now only add some concrete on the soft airstrips so that fixed wings can actually use them.

Why to people play so much Life and Wasteland?
b00tsy replied to copper2010's topic in ARMA 3 - MULTIPLAYER
How about just asking the creator instead of ripping it out of a mission without consent of the mission/mod creator. -
My comment was not intended as padding myself on the back or anything as I am aware that my missions are far from perfect, but still, the ungrateful attitude of the Steam kids pisses me off. Specially when they are plain griefing with bullshit comments like à have only 10 fps in this mission while I have a high end PC.. and at the same time on my mediocre non gaming PC I get 40+ fps. Or saying that stuff does not work (probably without even having played it) in the mission while everything works fine, just to troll and grief. It is sad. Maybe I will indeed just keep it exclusive on armaholic. ---------- Post added at 02:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:20 PM ----------

My opinion about the workshop after having used it for a couple of missions is that Steam is filled with ungrateful child whiners and plain griefers that bitch and moan and even lie about free content. I notice it with the few missions I have published and I see the same thing with missions from other people from the community. Those whiners are also the people that do not contribute anything them selfs to the community besides trolling and being rude. I hope BI will launch the Dayz crap very soon so that all the children will move on, ArmA has become a frikkin kindergarten without parenting control. Looking at how the community was back in 2009/2010 and how it is now is pretty sad. At this point I don't think I am going to bother with the workshop anymore and keep my missions only visible for my friendlist.

For me the whole fatigue system can be removed. As BI themselfs announced that ArmA 3 is a game and not a sim I don't see the value of having red blurred vision and porn breathing sounds after 10 seconds of running. You can still endlessly run so it only makes it annoying to have out of breath sounds and visual effects while you can keep running. If they want to do it realistically then you should not be able to run at all anymore if you are out of breath, but the majority does not want that (I assume).

Why to people play so much Life and Wasteland?

I played/checked Altis life yesterday for the first time and all I heard was 12 year olds on the mic cursing and swearing. PEGI 16? yeah in theory. I honestly do not enjoy public servers anymore since the Dayz horror began. Unless you are on a private server multi player in ArmA sucks ass. -
It's easiest to use the editor windowed, only the fonts of arma 3 makes everythinbg unreadable with smaller screen, unless you use large menu's. I can't tell a lot of the time if I am seeing a 6 or an 8, they look the same in ArmA 3.

Over Hauling Vehicle Ammunition and Loadout Option
b00tsy replied to CaptainAzimuth's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Rearming a vehicle/aircraft in ArmA vanilla is lacking for sure. There really needs to be a nice service module for that. -
Well I haven't really followed the debate about that. I just read what is written in the user agreement of Steam workshop.

Less ripping out of other games and more original ideas. with all do respect to the mission makers, if I want to play Hitman, metal Gear, Payday, Wolfenstein, etc. I will play those games.

Vote: I Enjoy A3, but think it could have used a little more fine tuning I like ArmA 3 and specially Altis! Love the clouds and lighting, the new physics, the smooth animations, improved AI combat behavior (besides indoor). There is tons of stuff that is much better then ArmA 2. I was already happy with how ArmA 2 looked, Takistan is still my fav map (next to Altis now), but in ArmA 3 it is more polished. There are some things like AI going total nuts when they see a camo net and give the camo net a priority over shooting at hostile AI are things that should have been picked up and noticed by the devs and private testers before launch. And things like airstrips that may look authentic, but are useless for jets and AUVs is something that I liked to have seen different. And the vehicles of opfor/bluefor are to similar. With Arrowhead I really liked that the Takistan side was a bit of a underdog, but still nasty ass hell and a force to be reckoned with. In ArmA 3 it does not really matter which side you choose or play against as they have the same capabilities. And the only military objects are arma 2 camo nets (with the mentioned AI issue) and the vehicle covers can not be used with the ArmA 3 vehicles as the vehicles are to high for the net (also has not been tested it seems). Of course I and everyone else (I assume) would like to see perfection and twice the amount of content and features then ArmA 2, but thats not a realistic expectation. Keeping in mind that BI is not a big AAA company and have a limited budget to work with and the knowledge that BI will keep working on the game/sim for a long time to come I am very happy with ArmA III. I haven't played ArmA 2 since the release :) P.S, The devs that made the Altis map deserve a staue, it must have taken a huge amound of time and dedication to create. Top Work!

There is nothing to port over as it is Xeno's mission. I just added some stuff on top of his mission to make it playable on your own. I actually prefer/hope that Xeno himself will create single player version of domination!

[WIP] Video Streaming Mod
b00tsy replied to apocalypex's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Nice. Reminds me of secondlife inworld video rendering. -
This comment can basically be ignored as soon the workshop supports mods. According to the workshop license anything you upload is free to the public to be used, altered and reuploaded by other people. That is now also the case with missions you upload, where you may have used custom sounds, video's, textures, etc. It is owned by the public as soon as you upload it on the workshop.

Specially if you give civilian groups waypoints it is silly that the 'leader' calls out the position, he is not a dang soldier!
-
Lot of work? They use motion capture, it is a matter of recording the moves.

I would love to share my indepth vision of a new system, but my experience is that most people do not accept to understand it. They usually keep referring to old systems like socialism or communism instead of getting out of their conditioned tunnel vission and be open for new idea's and way's. Besides that, English is not my first language, I woud express myself different in my own language. You quoting Churchill makes me decide to not bother.
-
Glad I am not the only one missing it. I actually had to create my own sounds for a mission to get the feeling you are on the coast/docks. Besides sounds I also want to see them walking and flying around.

Matter, it´s not a dream, it is a disgusting fact of our system.

The top 100 richest people have enough money to end poverty in a blink of an eye. http://www.oxfam.org/en/pressroom/pressrelease/2013-01-19/annual-income-richest-100-people-enough-end-global-poverty-four-times\ The 10.000 richest people in the world have enough money to change human reality as we know it. Every single living soul on this planet could live a fortunate life. With the wealth of those criminals in suit properly invested technology would take a different turn and would be used to create a better peaceful and stable world. Yet the system of greed lets that hand full of invividuals live as gods and rule the world while the world stays in a state of missery and destruction.
-
Or just have military objects in the editor. Only having camo nets in there is a bit silly compared to what arma 2 had in the object list. I especially miss the field hospital, because I don't like the first aid kit setup that all units have. And the camo nets in arma 3 are from arma2. The vehicle covers do not work in arma 3, all the vehicles are to high to cover them, vehicle cover will fall to the ground when you place a vehicle under it, they are useless. So there are no usable military objects in the editor at all.

Civilization = collective. Current state of civilization = egocentrism, greed, selfish materialism, hunger for power and control. We as a civilization are fooling ourselfs. Or better put, the masses are being fooled by the powers in the world and being controled by laws and dictations to keep the systeem of criminals intact. Our freedom is a fake freedom, we are living in a modern version of the medieval ages to be exact.

@coffeeshock. There no such thing as choice. Everyone is born with a certain intellect, abillities, social environment, etc. Just because one person is more slick and handy at functioning in this greed system (the big pyramidgame) that does not mean they should have more rights to live an extravagent wealthy life over others. A person that takes up your garbage in front of your door is in the bigger picture more valuable then a slick suit speculating on fictive money in the high glass towers. Yet the suit makes millions and the person collecting your garbage barely can keep his head above the water and may even have a 2nd or 3rd job to get by. I do agree with most other thing is your comment.
