^ True, but giving certain units of the CDF basic western weaponry, such as paras or special forces, could easily be explained as NATO giving the CDF weaponry while the USMC was officially in the country.

Prometheus: The prequel to ALIEN trailer is out.
Devil Dogs SF replied to jblackrupert's topic in OFFTOPIC
HR Giger was involved from things I've heard, I would highly doubt Giger and Scott would allow the Space Jockeys to be generic spacemen. -
A CDF Para division would be cool, not to mention it'd be the best way to give some of their forces western equipment such as M4's or maybe some US gear like helmets.

Ridley said the Jockey in the chair in the original is actually just a suit for the Jockeys themselves. -

Ridley doesn't have to confirm it's a prequel, the Derelict spacecraft from Alien is clearly seen, and the biomechanical architecture can be seen on all of the Alien tech, not to mention the Pilot chair, also inside the Derelict spacecraft in Alien. -
The Green Sea Expansion Project (GSEP)

I agree with a border region. Could make for some beautiful scenery too, transitioning slowly from woodland/plains to deserts/savannahs. -
Iron Front - Liberation 1944, new WW2 game on A2:OA engine

With that logic, ArmA 3 would be a mod too. -

I wish it wasn't another mindless NATO vs. Russia thing, I liked fighting the Chinese and MEC in BF2. :( -

It's not a mod just because it's using the same engine... -

Very fun terrains for being so small. Great for small fast paced ground missions, thanks :) -
Afghanistan and Iraq aren't islands either.

I doubt the Iranians care much for the Geneva Conventions.

US Marines deploy on land just as the Army does and use their "hand-me-down" equipment just as good or even better. That aside, the Marines and Rangers would more than likely be on the scene at the same time should such an "island invasion" take place, one being Airborne the other a rapid Amphibious force. The regular Army would be cleaning up whatever the Marines and Rangers left.

Great video, voice acting was good too. :)

VBS is the sim, ArmA at its core is still a game. Things can still be added that are unrealistic like some of the tech we're seeing in ArmA 3, that aside, women on the battlefield ISN'T unrealistic.

How to make a unit lay down wounded and in pain?
Devil Dogs SF replied to koekto's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
As Maturin said, the First Aid Simulation module is what you need. Action and Battlefield Clearance can also be used. Simply place a unit and synchronize the unit to the module. The unit will then fall and writhe in pain until a medic heals him. Using JUST First Aid Simulation however won't add the dragging or carrying actions to teammates. For that you will need Action or Battlefield Clearance (Never was sure which did what, so I just use all three). These modules work the same way as First Aid simulation, simply synchronize to the units. -
I'd personally like to see these type of weapons, but only added by the mission maker under certain scenarios. No units, except maybe a few OPFOR SF, should actually carry the gas by default loadouts.

Guess you've never seen a female US Marine Drill Instructor?

Battlefield 2 vanilla was hardly realistic either, but that was fun as hell and still is. Why shouldn't it retain the same feel in BF3? If these were ArmA 3 videos I'd understand the hate...But this is unrealistic gameplay in a franchise that has never really been ultra realistic in the first place, so why complain now? -
It was a compliment...Pretty clear he meant he can easily use RACS aircraft as Argentinian.

I waiting for someone to post that lmao :D
