FOV options in Arma 3 I was wondering maybe if they could include an adjustment for FOV in the settings. The reason I asked is because while playing Arma 2 or OA the game makes me sick & nauseous. I don't get that way playing other games like BF3 etc... (I turned off the blur post processing effects because that is a definite headache.) Just hoping maybe something like this will be included or possible because this is my favorite game but like I said the FOV thing just makes me nauseous when playing.

Hey BangTail, I was wondering what you thoughts were about your monitor and how the IPS panel performed with games? The reason I asked, I just ordered the Dell UltraSharp U2711 and was wondering about the response time of 6ms. I read alot of reviews and they said it was not a problem with just a few saying not for gaming. Just wondering about it and would like to know your thoughts on it?

EXACTLY, if you don't like the realism play COD, MOH or any of the other 1000's of games out their now just like it. Games were it takes a whole clip to kill you or where if you get hit like 10-15 times you can run and hide to replenish your health. No thanks, keep the Ultimate Military Simulator ArmA the way it is. My advice to those that agree with this post is if you don't like realism put back ArmA and buy COD instead. ArmA is the only game in my opinion that is fresh and original instead of the 1000's of modern warfare knockoffs out their right now that have gone stail to me. Name another game with the shear scale and substance that ArmA has? Maybe ArmA is too difficult/complicated for some of you that wish it was Semi-Realistic. Hell, it took me a while to get that Arcade FPS tactics out of my blood and I wish to never go back to those hacked console ports again. They have to many games out their as it is that cater to fun/arcade players as yourselves so don't try to change my favorite game because their is none like it. ArmA 3 "The Ultimate Military Semi-Realistic Simulator" just doesn't sound to appealing to me.

Yeah I'm going through the same things you are LoneCrow66 but as I continue to play I'm getting better and better. My 1st problem like you was seeing enemy before they see you but after getting over my furstration and resuming/after short hiatus because of furstration it kinda opens up. You start seeing movement, become alot more PATIENT(it's hard to shake the COD habits) and continue to get more familiar/ better with the game. The AI are super accurate too me but like what was previously stated lower their accuracy but not their skill. That make for alot longer and enjoyable, realistic firefights. PS hey guys when adjusting the enemy precision what is high and what is low scale wise.

That's my biggest problem when turning off all the aids, I don't know where in the hell I'm at or where to go. What I really need is a new GPS different from the game like the garmin I have in my truck to tell my Noob A$$ where to go. You guys are talking about reading the stars and stuff, man I'm no astroligist just give me a dam M16 and point me in the right direction.

He just said he's 13 guys give him a break, sounds like a good kid. It says Mature 17+ on the back of the box and I don't think I would let my kid play it until he was of the proper age. Wait a few more years and you will probably get your hands on ArmA 3 :yay:when your old enough.

Just wondering, do we just use 1.0.8 or do we combine and overwrite previous versions up to 1.0.8? Because comparing 1.0.7 and 1.0.8 there is a difference in the 2 files or is that because CBA is no longer needed for version 1.0.8?

I wanna hear from the 10 & under range or is that just how old they act not their actually age? This Game is complicated to a 36 year-old soon to be 37. I can see it now in MP large scale battle riding in the chopper to knock out enemy radar and then suddenly find out it's an 8 year old pilot flying the chopper...oh s$%t. Just kidding guys but if it's true very impressed.

Hey Anders tried downloading latest SOA from the depositfile location provided and my AVG is going crazy with warnings. I allowed download and something like white smoke something...other downloaded and AVG came back up with a security warning so I blocked it and removed it. Using the Free download version btw.

I totally agree with the aspect of noobies like myself, 1st getting into ArmA 2 and just being overwhelmed at the sheer scale of the game..it's a little intimadating. Well that and trying to play ArmA like COD or any other FPS, man it's a rude awakening and at 1st frustrating. It's not until you as a noob realizes your playing a Military Simulator and not a COD, MOH FPS that I grasped the sheer awesomeness of it all.
