To start with a black screen that fades out slowly

Usng Ky's example... Text is all there, initial black is not... then the blur kicks in and fades. Used to be in A2 that you had to place a functions module. Dont see that in the A3 modules. What am I screwing up? -
server not showing up in active games list

Greetings, Very new to managing a hosted server so I am running into new and interesting problems that I never have before when hosting ad hoc servers on a machine local to me. Problem 1) It takes FOR EVER for our hosted server to appear in the game browser. Filter on server name and go get a sandwich, it's going to take a while. Eventually it does show up. Is this a Gamserver.com issue or simply the fact that our server is one of thousands? Problem 2) If nobody is in the server, the mission goes blank and it just sits there. Nobody is going to join a server to check it out if there is no mission name associated with it. I see lots of servers with zero population and a mission name. How do I configure the server to make sure that the mission is always shown? -

there are two keys associated with the weapon and its accessories. Same name on both. I swapped one for the other and all is well. -

I aplolgise if this is an inappropriate thread to post this question in but since the people who follow this thread are using the FHQ M4... I think somebody will know. We are new to using a hosted ArmA 3 server and installation of mods is escaping us at the moment. Some are not a problem, this one is. To use this mod, do we.. 1) just install the key to ../arma3/keys 2) install the key to ../arma3/keys AND install the @mod folders as well as adding the @mod folder names to the config string. ... which is it? The FTP connection to our host site is MISERABLE and it takes for evah to move things up to it. Not sure if this is a function of the FTP client in use or if the host provider is capping FTP upload speeds to preserve bandwidth for game servers. -
Something changed!!! BTC Logistics..... Something went bonkers with this and I have no idea what. I can select/place/drag any crate except for supply crates (example: B_supplyCrate_F), now. What the heck happened? This always worked, I didn't change anything about my missions. Now, just this one specific supply crate is just uninteractable except for taking stuff from it. Patrol Ops... Seems this is game related because I have issues in Patrol Ops now where I used to be able to drag ammo around and now cant there, either. IgiLoad... Supply crates that I used to put in Mohawks (example: B_supplyCrate_F) which are in the filter for loadable items no longer work. B_supplyCrate_F, which previously worked just fine, can no longer be manipulated. It's the big toybox that we took along on every mission because it had the most goodies in it. Fast roping is hit or miss. More often than not, the ropes deploy and drop off immediately. Can't figure out what we are doing wrong. Help!

Great script. One difficulty, however. The readme says VEHICLES. Is there anything special about this vehicle aside from a proper name in the init? Lets just say I have placed and empty Hunter and called it mobile_1. null= [[nato_base,mobile_1],WEST,TRUE,25] execVM "BRS\BRS_launch.sqf"; My only respawn options are the flagpole (nato_base) and my team members. Hi Shay, 1) No, I am the host (non-dedicated). I will ask my friend to host and see what happens. 2) Its the filtering that seems to make it worse and I am filtering on players only so that I can move my clients to their desired locations. The problem REALLY manifests itself in the 3D editor where I get crushed down to seconds per frame. -

I've spent a while reading back to see of this has been addressed. Sorry if it has and I am asking an old question that has been resolved. MCC performance degrades terribly over time. No issues what so ever with game, it is running well. Open MCC screen and over the course of 30 minutes I go from FPS to SPF. I surrender MCC to one of my clients and they have no problem. As I said, game is runnign fine, just going into MCC brings things to a halt. Exit MCC, no probs. Non dedicated, if that matters. -

For the life of me I cannot get this to work on Stratis. Is there something in a config that is holding me up? I may not be the brightest crayon in the box but I'm not a dummy. I've made a lot of rather in depth missions for friends and I using many different revive scripts... but this one has me stumped. The demo mission works fine. I make a new mission.sqm on Stratis. Copy over everything but the old mission sqm. I see the dialogue about remaining FAK's but never the scripts first aid or drag/carry dialogue.- 914 replies

So far I've been killed by a kart IED and a racing suit wearing suicide bomber. I, too, want to know how to exclude this content as it is utilized in the most strange and unlikely of scenarios.

No intending to necro a very old thread but the question fits the criteria for raising it from the dead.... I am spawning a medic using.... _unit = group player createUnit ["B_medic_F", Position player, [], 0, "FORM"]; I want to add to this medic a init script... dummy = [this, units (group player)] execVM "scripts\automedic.sqf"; I tried to make sense of what I have read at https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/createUnit, but to no success.... _unit = group player createUnit ["B_medic_F", Position player, [], "dummy = [this, units (group player)] execVM "scripts\automedic.sqf", form", 0]; Alternatively I can just run same script as part of the init.sqf provided I have the medic named, but I am not sure how to accomplish that either. I've tried this but it fails... _unit = group player createUnit ["B_medic_F", Position player, [], 0, "FORM , med1=this"]; Never mind.... vultured the automedic creators missions and discovered method to spawn with script. Help appreciated. -

Speed of CAS flights.... Is there any way to push the throttles on attack aircraft when they make their flyby. They seem slow. Perhaps an option to set speed to limited/normal/full or at worst an edit to the generated waypoints that gives them the full speed command. -

From a professional standpoint.... what does a TCCC crash cart look like inventory wise or is it the same as any crash cart that would be found in a hospital setting or rescue squad. Sorry to go off topic. -

Sorted... It's tricky because the vehicle is not very stable and the engagement envelope is very small. If only auto-hover would really auto-hover. -

Adenosine could be administered for stable tachycardia to try and convert the rhythm. There is some discussion on low dose Adenosine causing paradoxical bradycardia but that is probably outside of the intent of this mod. It's enough to be said that Atropine would be administered to get things going again, not stop them. After reading the readme, I think your intention was to use Adenosine as it is indeed used to convert tachycardia. To an uninitiated eye, I can see how the two would get crossed up and in our crash carts they are nowhere near each other for that reason alone. P.S. I am an RN and ACLS certified, I am not claiming to be an expert, just knowledgeable. My intent is not to criticize but rather to help make an great mod even better. -

Ummmm.... fixed: Bug #73574: Atropine should decrease HR not increase http://acls-algorithms.com/bradycardia There are 3 medications that are used in the Bradycardia ACLS Algorithm. They are atropine, dopamine (infusion), and epinephrine (infusion). I'm a little rusty on my ACLS... thankfully haven't had to ever use it... but that kinda looks wrong to me. -

Say for some reason that there are object in the mission that I do not want to be moved. For example a VAS ammo box in base. How do I "fix it in place" so that it cant be moved around by somebody? -

The mission markers (black, semi transparent squares and the red circle).... they obscure much on the map. Can they be lightened up in any way? Perhaps 90% transparent and solid color, and no mesh like the circle. Visible yes, but not obscuring. -

Head scratching here, too.... Tried noscript since I use BTC Logistics I thought that would do the trick.... Nupe. Tried script version and still see nothing indicating how to pick up a load. No userconfig that I see that would add anything. I am at a loss. -

Love the mission maker wizzard. Not so crazy about the heavy markers. Is there a way to tone them down. They obscure much on the map.
