    @_William well i actualy didnt do anything special with the bridges they are just alligned i gues.. @Kremator i figured it would have something to do with me trying to play your MSO in singleplayer. :)

    yes i checked the mission but for some reason my grass was missing when i played this in singleplayer tought it had something to do with my config so checked without the mission and the grass appears just fine so????.

  7. u should always delete the beta folder stored in your expansion folder Drive letter:\Program files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\Expansion\beta but i gues u know, now the people who gets scared come in here and read it.

    i would love to see a new map of iran (im actualy starting to make one) it is going to depict a "little" island in the strait of hormuz with loads of ocean around and the city Qeshm on it. this could be another great island but i dont have the time and patients to do it all on my own this time. so if anyone likes the idea the terrain would be as big as fayshkhabur but its surrounded by ocean, enough to put an entire naval fleet on it and still be able to get lost over the ocean while the island haves a big city (has its own airstrip), a industrial area, and a pretty variating landscape. http://images.alarabiya.net/e5/58/640x392_490_184254.jpg so actualy im looking for a great citybuilder and build this project together from scratch.

    ty tpw im flattered :) apart from the rocks and trees, everything is placed by hand.....yes even the roads. indeed i did some copy and pasting in the towns. but things are changing as we speak. @Lao Fei Mao ill see wat and where i can place more indeed that would look good but im trying to keep it close to original so u may expect trees near the river but appart from that its a pretty open landscape as far as i can see in pictures from this region. i hope u guys enjoy the map, perhaps ill search a server tonight and have a little fun in fayshkhabur myself, player name = anderson.
  10. im just rereading your post, and wat u are saying is as logic as a cirkel is round and a square has 4 corners... but the weird thing is, when i binarize my island without a tag folder (i just editied the hell out of my project to get one) keep in mind it worked and i released a beta4 with working ladders. now im allready changing stuff and wat not, binarized a few times and gues wat.... the ladders and doors stay shut again this is sooow anoying. ofcourse i can make it work again but if i can prevent this from happening just by using a tag folder that would be my weapen choice. :) again thank u for your explanation.

  15. ok wat i did now = first i binarized the island with the ca folder in my project folder. deleted the .pbo out of the game folder, deleted the bintemp/myproject/ca folder. i went to wrp projects and copied the content to (wat i allready suspected) ca objects folder. and binarized again. i noticed the Fayshkhabur.pbo had decreased in size. GOT IT WORKING..... altough i have to toroughly test if everything works, but i can climb ladders where i normaly could not. thanks guys sometimes asking question gets u somewhere. :) [edit] its save to say it works, all gates and ladders i couldnt use by deleting the ca folder in my project folder are accesable and climbable now. thx again.
  16. hi bush first of all ty for your responce, yes thats the way i have the third party addons, only i tought i should have those configs in the ca folder within my project folder. the .cpp's, i have my P: drive like P:/Projectfolder. i do not use a tagname folder so if i would copy the ca folder the way u say i would overwrite the allready existing folder where all objects are ? wat i did (wrong) is i have the ca folder from WRP*** inside my project folder. but if i delete the ca folder, the only ladder that works is the one from takistan controltower. all buildings from vanilla arma 2 fail horrible so thats weird, i dont know wat im doing wrong.

    dont know if i can iron that one out, that object isnt even on the map. the only 2 objects from pmc i got are street lamps and bunkers. some new screens from fayshkhabur hope u like them, next news update would be a beta release V04

    i have changed the secondary runway for the use of C130's/B52's etc they can take off from the big platform using the second runway now, while smaller aircrafts can still take off from the hangers using the first runway. im looking into the issue where they can only drive out of two of the four hangars. [edit] oow boy u made me completely redo the entire airfield lol.

    8bpp i mean 24bits true color just to clarify :) yes i have a river crossing from north/west to south east. http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?116630-Mosul-area-Iraq&highlight=fayshkhabur http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?123378-Faysh-khabur-beta-release&highlight=fayshkhabur im just using the same layers file as i usualy do never had problems with it bevore, altough i do understand your statement. i tought if i use all the configs and settings that work, i can iron out loads of possible errors. i might try to paint out the river and test again when i manage to get it under 2gb. first i have to finnish some industrial area's, im running out of idea's to fill that part of the landscape.

    it is not the mask that cause problems the mask's size in this resolution would be 136mb its the sat_lco wich exceeds the 2gb filesize limit by 300mb, or visitor haves trouble with 2mtrs per pixel sat image. i would be happy to get the sat image in with 8bit indexed colour this way my sat_lco would only be +- 1,3gb but visitor doesnt like that first time it imported 99% and crashed, second try it spits it out right away. i would love to know if someone has a solution to cut the file size of a 8bpp .png by 302mb, my terrain is 2048x10=20480x20480 tried the sat image 40960x40960 base texture layer 20mtrs wich gave me a satallite segment of 12 = valid. 40mtrs would give me segment 3 =invalid, 10mtr and visitor crashed right away. 20mtrs segment gave me the best result, non the less it crashed.

    good find, but i think visitor 3 wont import a psb. when i download my sat map it is a 5gb .bmp wich i cannot load in PS, so i convert it to tiff and load it in PS there i cut out my "source image" and saved it as indeed a psb, a psb of 40960x40960 in my case was 13,5gb... Huuge. a .png same dimension's is 2,3gb exceeds 300mb, visitor wont accept it. tried to downgrade to 8bit indexed and could import, but at 99% visitor spits it out. so maybe if someone could write a plugin for visitor to load a .png over its size limit?. but i couldnt get it in no matter wat, i cant get my sat under 2gb with a 40960x40960 image.

    well infact it does, even the bridges stay in line (if u didnt change terrain''s overal hight) i cant count the times i did it this way believe me it works, ive got several objects rescaled and they stay that way. i couldnt change my hightmap in any other way cause of the numerous objects on the landscape. this was the only way for me to get it in and it never failed.
