I think the release of Arma2 1.06 patch is quite close, And anything thats included in that patch will be either included or available to download on the day of release for OA. It would probably be needed to fix any slight niggles with the backwards compatibility. (if there is backwards compatibility)

Actually the current conversion rate according XE.com when comparing sprocket euros to pounds works out at £24.88, but its available in game on friday the 2nd for £19.99 and also from play.com for £16.99.

Im not sure if its been said, But DLC could really work if it was done like Company of Heroes, So its backwards compatible, However in a MP game, Would a person without the DLC be 'locked' out of the 'content'? ^^ All theoretical and rhetorical. Dividing the community because some people want one thing and others want something else, Might have a massive negative effect on this community

From my relative experience in buying games, which is vast cause ive had hundreds and currently skint. game.co.uk/the shop (from what ive seen) only releases games on a friday, And as the 2nd of july is their release day, this day falls on a friday. If anyone can deni this then go ahead as you're probably more nerdy than i am. Id suggest ringing game to find out if it is what the website says, It might be that they only ever transport new goods on a thursday night or something. would be nice if i could purchase it on the day tho.

I have no problem purchasing DLC as long (like most) its of good quality. A minor problem i see, If BIS where to create a DLC that was a new faction, For example, The British units, I wouldnt be to happy if it was a 'company' sized faction, Id want more for the faction, like all supporting elements, And with that id also want missions to go with it. The problem is, that most of the units are just a different colour(cammo etc etc) so the only thing new that you are getting is perhaps the armed truck (wimik?) and the weapons, I havent seen anything else so far. As for the black element, Although its a faction, Its going to have a lot less supporting elements compared to an actual military. A decent campaign with this would need to be a must.

I have to agree with Gonk. Sometimes in a firefight and you need to give the order to cease fire or hold fire. If you're next to an MG if you whispered/talked 'cease fire' to him, the chances are he's not going to hear it. I know you have the SR radio to get into his ear, but its easier just to yell cease fire as it saves time albeit a few seconds at most.

Definately not meaning to jump on your toes here. BUT <--( i see an infraction coming) a while back cant remember what version number it was at the time, You could take a few stanag mags to the main barrel of the m1 or t-72 and it would do some serious damage. It is/was only a bug. I personally can not wait for OA to come out. I have very recently turned my hand to mission making (Im like a pre-beta) and cant wait to get to grips with the editor in OA. Because its set in a desert it offers a completely different scope for mission making and executing. If its seriously only 7 or so missions, Then i hope they've spent alot of their time working out the compatibility between arma 2 and arrowhead, I know its an expansion, but i cant help but feel that the work people have done over the last year or so is going to be wasted.

Isnt arma 2 a more cpu based game? I know a 'expensive' GPU is going to help, but i was always under the assumption that a nice juicy fast electricity munching CPU was the most used bit of hardware in ArmA2, Correct me if im wrong, Please? FYI, I have one crappy Zotac GTX260, My cpu is the q9650 @ 3.6ghz and I run everything on high in some crappy resolution because my monitor cant take the 1920x1080, My old one used to and i could run everything maxed out then, Perhaps not view distance tho.

I have a question, Which probably should of gone on the FAQ. As ArmA2 is fully intergratable with OA. If you're going to play a mission that was designed for A2, with ace or other addons. But you were using nothing from OA. Would there be any conflicts? I realise that they are very people that would know the answer, but i feel its a good question nether the less

Perhaps the problem is Steam. You said its installed on another pc, Perhaps Steam wont allow you to install it on another machine?

Stalker, Ive spoken with some 'buyer' for game, (had to ring their head office) and they told me they arent getting it. Which means that gamestation arent going to get it either as they are the same company. Is there anyone else inthe UK that would sell of the shelf? CAnt see HVM or tescos doing it :-/

I know its pretty much confirmed by other sources that 505 are not the UK publisher. In my nerdy wisdom, I did ring 'game' and spoke to their buyer, And they said that they didnt have this game, or any information on it. This lady told me to ring 505, which i did (after about an hour of digging for a phone number). The lady there told me that they werent the publisher for it and if i wanted to know who was the publisher I'd have to contact Bohemia Interactive, as she had no information at all. But if she didnt have information, How would she know the developer of the game. :-/
