    Fade protection in Night showcase?

The damage model and weapons overall are quite weird now. Devs created some strange body armor system and it's hard as f**k to actually kill someone. I had similar problems in the campaign, they will hopefully balance it into usable state.
  2. They probably just used this guy for mocap.:-D

    Arma Geography

Nope, they are fictional:). Or more accurately, there are some regions/towns with same or similar names, but not in the Czech Republic. For example Bukovina is historical region somewhere between Ukraine and Romania, and in Slovakia there are towns like Banská Bystrica or Považská Bystrica... btw: Czech version of "Bystrica" would be "Bystřice", I guess you would find some villages or small towns with that name, but certainly not a whole region:).

    Can't save campaign progress

Default is one save slot for the mission. Similar system to the old OFP...nothing wrong about that, especially if you can enable unlimited saving. I think it might work quite well, given the mission lenght and frequent autosaves. The problem right now is unbalanced difficulty caused by weird AI, annoying damage system and terrible mission design, so saving more often can be usefull. Hopefully they will iron out all the bugs and rough edges, because playing with limited saves is always more tense and atmospheric than having the ability to save your progress all the time.
  5. I have the same problem. But it seems like it's not caused by betapatch, but by CBA addon itself. When I run beta without it, helicopters work just fine...

[troll]Have you noticed the last first person infantry part looked quite a lot like fighting in OFP: Dragon Rising?:-D[/troll] I like it:).

    The Outerra Engine

Yeah, trees are still 2D sprites, but they are working on tree generator. It's curently on hold, because meanwhile they released a damo and they are working on other things... There are some WIP screenshots from last year here: http://www.outerra.com/forum/index.php?topic=234.0

What's the point of playing Vanilla Style?

It was misinterpreted by kotaku: http://kotaku.com/5910279/pc-zombie-darling-causes-sale-explosion-arma-devs-happy-to-help Španěl said "We're more than happy to assist DayZ in any suitable way and considering the mod's popularity we are committed to do some related work in the next Arma 2 update (1.61).", and they interpreted it as "Španěl says that the developer is actually accommodating DayZ in ArmA II's next update." Even Karel Mořický mentioned on twitter it is not true: https://twitter.com/KarelMoricky/status/202494817207455745

    ArmA III Cost

Well, fans of gospel would probably feel the same about other people's millions of dolars going into some gospel choir or whatever. The same with embroidery fans, pickle preservation fans..I don't think this is any different.

    ArmA III Cost

Considering the fact they got almost 80 000 000 CZK (4 000 000 USD) on subsidies from European Union, they have money from some of you regardles if you want or not.:D

Unfortunately, they are:/. It's just not that visible on a video, but if you look closely, you can still spot the red circle in the middle of sights...

Hopefully they will fix that shooting animation. Casual looking around while shooting looks quite bad. I guess it's a by-product of abandoning separate head animations...
  15. Well, I guess full body awareness how it's done in BIS games has it's shortcomings as well. Because of the camera FOV and position, all weapons have those funky proportions, that feel kinda "wrong". ACOG scope looks like it's 30cm long, Eotech sights take half of the screen, not talking about those huge thermal sights. I think that classic "floating hands with a gun" approach allows to adjust camera/fov/perspective of gun much better and to be honest, I would happily sacrifice seeing my feet (is it really THAT important?) to see believable weapons and their animations. I guess I'm the only one with this oppinion though. Looking at E3 presentation I'm pretty sure full body awareness is still there...
