Stunning, just like all of your other maps, now we need the uniform modelling kings to make some good PCU models :D -
If you make the call sign patch on the NODs weight pouch as a "selection" and add it to the model.cfg, then you can use hidden selection textures to make as many different call signs as you have characters :D

Thanks for that Will, I will try that out, the USAF mod aircraft don't work, they crash all the time. Out of curiosity, do I need to put the custom load out into the init of the aircraft, seeing as I'm not loading it ? -

How do you get your aircraft to work as AI CAS? I have tried and they just fly around without doing anything, till they get shot down ! I've linked the aircraft to the supports requester module. -

That's not quite true, smokedog, they have issued a couple of cease and decists to gary's mod. They care but the reality is not much can be done about it, the onus would have to be on the BiS to prove that whoever posted the models did so with intent to break the EULA's. These assets are indeed there, but how would BiS take action against nerds in Russia, they can't force the site down, they're like hackers anonymous names, on anonymous servers using VPN's.. Such as the nature of gaming,there's guys ripping models and porting to the likes of Gary's mod, even when the games are still in Beta. The weapons in BF3/4 are pretty much the same weapons used in Call of Duty, two separate games developers, but the same mesh? -

Yeah, maybe one of Icebreakers Island, Panthera, Lingor or Duala may have been the cause, which is odd, as none of them AFAIK were dependent on AiA, although it could also have been Clafghan. The error is gone now. thanks -

That's a very disingenuous think to say to those who spent considerable man hours crafting these weapons, the configs, the testing the rehashing, just to say you only want the pack for one weapon? The addon is catered for the masses, not the individuals, what you might think is overkill, I on the other hand think that this is one of, if not the top weapons addon out there, as the man said, don't want to download it, that's your prerogative, I think it's worth it. -

Its all about cover my man ;) 3 keystrokes as opposed to 1? sounds like that's a no brainer, I don't know where you've also got the idea that this would be forced on anyone, I merely stated it would be a cool animation to use, what exactly would be so so bad, and wrong that when you hit the R button, your character drops to a knee, reloads and stands back up again? Doing a 100% force to knee actually builds up muscle memory in real life, its easy as shit to stand there and do reloads all day in the standing position, but doing things in training and in the classroom compared to real combat is like chalk and cheese, teach them to take a knee, clear the stoppage( which an empty magazine is) , reload and then re-engage is a proven method, I instruct Iraqi local nationals, on weapons handling pretty much on a weekly basis, they're good when they're standing in the classroom, devoid of kit, but take them outside, get them to do all the drills in the prone position and they're like fish out of water, they lack serious attention spans. you're against the idea of such an animation, I get it, out of curiosity, how do you know not everyone would want such an animation? ;)

too many keystrokes doing it manually to get to the kneeling position, taking up time, if it was a custom movement, it's all done for you ;) I'm sure you're right about situations not needing to kneel, but realism, any stoppage drills, or reloads in combat, it's down into cover, change mags, back up into the fight. If ArmA is a combat simulation, why would you stand up in the open changing mags? it's not easy changing mags on the move, laden with kit, adrenalin pumping, and rounds coming down range. I'm one of the few who actually liked the new stamina system, you try running 500M's wearing 20Kgs of gear, and then start dropping targets at 2-300M's without your muzzle going all over the place as you're bowing out your arse!! :D

I'll tell you what would be a sweet animation would, on a reload, dropping down to one knee, changing the mags, and then standing back up, once the reload is complete, this is something we teach or should I says, try to teach our local nationals, basically get down into cover, change mags, and get back in the fight.

Is the upgrade from the original release the same size? I don't want to use PW6 as it has a mind of its own, and I don't fancy another 8GB download, as I'm not n unlimited bandwidth either. Not sure if it's related to CUP's but my Hindu Kush now fails to show, it was fine with AiATP, no drama's though, I can wait, to many good maps now to investigate :D -
How do you get that to work? through an sqf file, or through an rvmat? I'd like to see that set up, as it adds to immersion, like NVG, you could cnfig it to maybe only come on when it's dark, like NVG's?

I have rarely seen any modeller/texture artist put in a disclaimer about registered trademarks in their read me file. Even A3 acknowledges the use of Trijicon, and acog. I would love to see the agreement between such companies as Glock, Heckler and Koch, Colt, Baretta etc and Bohemia Interactive that states they can use their logos, methinks no such agreement exists, and BiS are very quick to jump on others who use their stuff in other games. -

If you take your time to read many of the weapons being used in A3, especially ones with logos, then go and read that company's press releases about the uses of said logo's etc, it will surprise you. Many FPS no longer use registered trademarks and logo's on their weapons due to copyright laws
