Just finished BAF campaign and enjoyed it a lot. Bit short but well done. Good mission design and voice acting. I wish ot last one misson loonger :) Defend base one was tough as hell but manageable. Loved czech references/jokes in it and in Merlin transport SP mission. Thanks BIS. -

Not sure if its useful as Scud is balistic missile and its minimal range will be well beyond all available landscape sizes in ARMA 2. I think Scud should be treated as game decoration that can be mission objective and when failed it just launch and somewhere 300km away they have problem if you porked your misson. Well sure for gameplay it can be made and i think its what you seeking for. Dumb down realism little to get fun with Scud in game. :) -

AI team mates always detomate explosive charges

Hi, I saw one wierdnes with AI handling explosive chareges in all versions OA and OA betas. It works ok in latest 1.07 ARMA 2 verison. When i order AI mate to lay down explosive and when that AI mate go to certain distance from explosive he automaticaly trigger it. It totaly destroy any tactical use or worse can lead to death other team mates, Please fix that. I cant play just Arma2 1.07 with BAF and all other OA features out there. -
Hi, When i create 4th template (dont know english word, have czech version, just one where is SPecOps manager running) and after while my team stop responds me. It looks like half of team split up and have its onw leader. Most of time that members equip just pistols. Most of time it happens after first SPecOps mission comleted or on team switch. It didnt happens in ARMA 2, only in OA. Also in that mission in OA me or team mates get contatnly killed/injured by insertion helo. How hard it will be to change helo script to not auto eject player and team or at least land after while auto eject team and wait little so team can clear off heli and not get killed or harmed. Its tiresome.... After more testing i see Arma 2 4th template suffer for this too. It is somewhat connected to team switch - all member past selected one in team switch form its own group and not follow me when i return to leader with team switch or when i get wounded as leader and next unit claim leadership. After i get healed i not reclaim most of team. Also when time runs out and i survive i got text about extraction helo but it never arrives. Probably crashed.

Ahh yes, thanks. Funn is team mate auto detonate bombs itself when get off some distance. It renderes this useless for tactics. THere is action option for detonate but he detonate on his own when he get some distance from bomb. Bah :confused:

Hi, Just finished OA campaing and have few questions about UI. If i remeber correctly in Operation Flashpoint i was able to lay down and fire up explosives with team meber via commands menu. I cant find how to do it n ARMA 2. Its missing/changed or not supported anymore? In OpF i simply ordered team mate to move to spot and then via commands i ordered him to place expolosives and then move back and detonate. Also its possible to define more waypoints for driver of car i am currently commanding? Team is driver. Thanks for help.

Hi, As i am mostly sim fan (Falcon 4.0...) it will be great to include some dynamic head movement (head bobbing) at least to planes and helis. Make it option if someone not like it. It really helps immersion to be in real heli/plane. After great head movement when on foot it looks strange that still head when flying g's in heli or harrier. Just suggestion. Maybe it can be done via mod script. Dunno.

Strange cut horizon with 1.07

Hmm, after total reinstall from DVD and 1.0 to 1.07 patch all ok. So scratch that report. Dunno what was wrong. -
Hi all, Its just me or after 1.07 patch horizon is strange hard cut in fog? Looks like mountains emerging on horizon is clipped. Before one can see bitmap mountains on skybox and even low res terrain in far away. Instaling latest DirectX to see if it helps. I restarted manhattan campaing misson when tryed 1.07.

After too many restarts of missions and many pulled hairs i finaly finshed Harvest Red campaing today. With Patch 1.05 and no mods i made it trough Dogs of war and must say WOW. I bitched one time on BI what evil game (it was dying Shaftoe i Manhattan) so i saying big sorry. It was blast, simply best campaing i played. I was totaly tied to my game person and to team Razor. Liked it more than orignal OFP role changing campaing. WHat a immersion! gradualy getting freedom. After it was finished i totaly forgetted all bugs and mission reverts. I liked Manhattan and Dogs of war most. Now i want finish campaing on Veteran mode with all maxed and without any helpers. So thumbs up BI. I love Arma 2 now. For others. Get patience, game and campaing is worth of it, especialy with 1.05 patch.

Just finshed EW mission and must say thanks BI. After i constantly fighting with bugs in Dogs of War and cant complete main quest this mini one was like a breeze of fresh air. Enjoyed every minute on it. Highly recomended.

No just SP. No COOP. I started campaing with patch 1.03 and i was able to finish Manhattan in 1.04 and Dogs of War with 1.05. Not saw any major bug in Dogs Of war 1.05. Just that one finshed and not marked green island recon . wrote above. But that dosent msatter really as when alied assaulted main Chedaki base mission end was triggered ok. I plan go thru campaing again in 1.05. This time on Veteran. i will tell then. -
Hi, Just host Lan game and join instead one AI slot to your liking. Then play. All other will be driven by AI like in SP. You only must access this via multiplayer option and not single player missions.

Interesting. Thanks for heading up. I never wrote script for OFP/ARMA or ARMA2 but i will try.

Well it was very frustrating and buggy but great design, story and escalating "freedom" to solve missions kept me on it till finished. -

HI Oden, I tried 1.05g and not sure if its ARMA 2 problem or yur mission problem - sometime when i order my AI team mates to go to stronghold bunker or base they go there and get "stuck" there - never regroup again and follow me. I had great fun with YH-1 heli. Used it as transport. Great work Oden :)

Hi Oden I getting error after load mission on map that something missing or was deleted - oh2_wheeled when i try play PLA versions. I played tryed in SP against AI only. Maybe i making something wrong when setting up "SP" warfare. I just selected multiplayer -> LAN -> Create new and select one unit as me and left all others as AI. I have PLA standalone pack mod enabled.

Hehe ok. Just in plain 1.04 i was able to use US marine choppers on shore and civil heli extracted me ok with lopotev. Sure there is problem with heli even in 1.04. Just i am saying itss even more broken in beta patch -
Hi, in beta patch 59928 AI heicopters are somwhat broken. If you order sqad to get in heli not land - just stays hover and if you command squad get out heli not land (that 3 blackhavks on shore after you capture town and MEU comes in again). I got this in Dogs of War (sure i restarted whole mission) Heli that should pick me up with Lopotev have same problem - it not lands and even not script is triggered that should you put on board so you are stuck.

Well, just want point out that this worked in 1.04 retail patch. I got no problems with this (well beside that my team members jump out too early so heli killed them or fall from too high). -

Yup i have save before Racek comes in and after as he is hanging in the air over LZ. Normaly i remeber when you approached landed racek You was imedietly transported on board by misson script. I zipping up my saves from 59928 beta. ---------- Post added at 09:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:28 PM ---------- Here is saves http://www.prekladytextu.eu/campaign.zip 19:07 is save after i caught Lopotev and vaiting for racek 19:10 is save where i am on racek LZ with racek is hanging in air and i cant do anything. He is not land. Script for boarding not gets trigered. Hope it helps
