From the start of play my fun factor has slowly increased to the point that it's now hovering at 9.6 Once the things that need fixing get fixed, I can't see anything to prevent it from hitting the magic 10. As I remember I have only ever given one other game a fun factor of 10 before.

Agreed. Zoom could do with some work especially were the carrier is concerned, it doesn't feel right. -

I had fun with Hostile waters, it was a temporary fix for my Carrier command addiction. But I think CCGM is what I have craving for since the original Carrier Command, this is it baby. :ok: -

It's suppose to avoid you were possible, but if it doesn't, you avoid it. Just take out it's attacking force and it will usually bugger off with it's tail between it's legs. :) My goal is to own near all of the islands then deal with the enemy carrier. In the original the enemy carrier was a b******d, not only in its battle capabilitys, but also having the uncanny ability to only ever show its tail-end as it sped off. ---------- Post added at 08:30 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:22 AM ---------- Aye! I think the modding community are going to have a field day with this game. It's a simple game but with thousands of permutations, just right for a modders creative talents. -
Bloody great game. I applaud BI for keeping the spirit. Can't put this one down. :D Personal thing I would change/add. Get rid of the grain effect. It's like puking on a Picasso Have a classic mode, both carriers start with only one island each. Keep the story driven campaign, but dump all of the fps sections and replace them with a narrator and art. I know the bugs will get squashed, so these don't bother me so much. Cheers!

Sprocket release still thinks it's a beta

You should delete this after un-install program files(x86)/ Bohemia Interactive And.. Have you deleted the folder (Carrier Command) in your documents? Do that then re-install the full game. Others had the same problem on the day of release. -

I think it's because you did not remove your old beta. You need to remove it completely before you install the full version. -

Just imagine if it can't be done. This would strike panic into the hearts of all those playing CCGM. Our strategy's and planning would all of a sudden be defunct, fish would die and birds would fall, the world would stop turning and.............................. -

Yes, thanks Dram, nice to hear from you. I would be very interested to see one of the points that Tharos mentioned, brought to light, and that would be... ("original setting" where you had one island and the enemy had one.) I would put this under a very much needed and wanted change, or addition to the present game. You could call it. CLASSIC START. -

Yeah, being left handed the game was no good to me until I done this, but now, after using this hack I can play okay. -

But...but...but.....This is Carrier Command not just any old game. They have got the strategy part right, they could have binned the campaign part of it and told the story in some other way, but other than that it's fine.....except, it has been under development for about 50 years and gone though months of beta testing with bug reports flowing from fans. By rights there should not be one single bug. -
Mouse feels over sensitive for me flying manta, adjustment seem very small if any, and have you tried to remap the arrow keys yet?

They are all hiding under their beds, because they know that even though the game is good, they should have put that little more work into it before release. And now they feel guilty beyond reason, I just hope that they don't go and do something silly out of the terrible guilt they must be feeling. -
I think most of the optimizing work for CCGM was done for the xbox first. I think it's a case of waiting for them to get around to dealing with the PC version. If somebody makes a mod for it that has zombie enemy carriers called Carrier-Z, then no problem, the work will get done as fast as lightning. :D

In beta3 you could remap the arrow keys, you can't any more because the xbox says NO. Unless, that is, you hack your settings, which you shouldn't have to do.

The game is great but the key controls for the PC version are a BIG BLACK MARK on the game. This is not a glitch, oversight or bug, they have no excuse, this should have been addressed before launch. I wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't for the fact that the keys worked better for the PC in the Beta3.

Done that, back to defaults, but deleting those 4 key codes always has the same result, changes left and right to mouse left and right. I don't have a clue how to stop it from doing that. ---------- Post added at 06:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:49 PM ---------- Wait, it does work. Even though it says mouse left and right, left & right arrows and mouse still worked separately - Mouse banks arrows strafe. What a extraordinary control setup BI. Thanks again. :) Now I can play. -

You cannot redefine certain keys such as arrow keys because they are used by a poxy xbox controller. I don't have a poxy xbox. I thought this problem had been solved in Beta2, why has it returned now? :mad: After looking forward to this day, this s**t has just ruined it. ---------- Post added at 03:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:36 PM ---------- I don't understand, why is the pc version of CC optimized for a xbox controller? And why can I not do a simple thing like reconfigure my directional controls to the arrow keys? I am left handed and need this. -

Thanks. I thought that it had worked, I was able to remap the arrow keys, but then it changed my left and right to mouse left and right and I cannot change it back. Bugger.
