Wow people are pissed because BIS decided to give out low quality models, like they did with BAF. (I played with them, shortly after got sick of them and bought BAF.) I can see why you may be upset over the campaign being given out for free, yet this is Arma. Expansions really are about the content. I don't give the campaigns a second playthrough even. The content however, is used over and over. Those low tex models make me sick and I'm willing to pay 10 bucks for it. I'm also pumped that my friends that haven't got it yet can still game with me on my custom missions, online, etc. Everything ALWAYS gets blamed on BIS. I mean I guarantee you some of these problems are hardware related... Yet noone gives a ****. Its never a polished game, but its always fun for me. I'm just happy this game is still alive.

I haven't used those regularly yet, but make sure your shooting at the range those are sighted in for. The trajectory is portrayed in the game, which means that depending on how it is sighted, you might see it a bit higher or lower than it should be. An extreme example of this would be the VSS Vintorez from Arma 2. Substantial arc in the trajectory means than within about 50m the redicule is quite abit lower than where the shot will hit.

Hmm interesting, was there any timeline? Would it be on release week or well after that they would stock it?

Has anyone found someone distributing in Canada? Brick and Mortor stye? :p I would like to actually own the game within the first week, or get it on Steam... Heh, but neither of those options seem viable right now. Will EB Games (Canadian branch of GameStop) actually stock it in the first week or like Arma 2, not get it for a 3-7 weeks. I cannot seem to find this information.

*Responding to your other posts* Yes we could all just stop supporting BIS through DLC, so that UNIQUE GAMES LIKE THIS, disappear. After all these are high risk low reward games and the mainstream 'genre' games have been the most successful business model known in the gaming world. They develop great engines for poor-average games that are all very similar and do not actually 'improve' much. I support this game for a reason. You may say this engine is crap/netcode is garbage. Then again I haven't seen a another game pull off what this one can. DLC is welcome, and this sounds like it will improve the game aswell. Don't worry I'll keep punishing BIS to make more games with my monies if you leave. Games have problems, especially when it doesn't come from a ridiculously huge developer like R* or EA. Take a look at some of the STALKER games. Even more bug riddled than Arma. And they are some of the greatest games in the genre. Go pay for one of those CoD games. I heard they improve each game a ton. Watch out though, since they change so much with each game there is alot of bugs.:rolleyes:

You have reliable sources? They told you the 100 series is in 5.45, when it has 3 different calibers, including 5.56 and 7.62. (Other thread.) That AK's accuracy hasn't improved sine the AK47!!? Are you kidding? Are you familiar with that rifle? Do you know the reasons it is inaccurate? And you say the newest AK's dont have much on it? Mmmmkay. Dood... I'm sorry, I don't understand you. Perhaps you are confused aswell. Your sources are less reliable than Call Of Duty. Perhaps they like they're bias with fries too? [before I forget, about the M16s... Not just poor 'Cleaning' for the 'self cleaning' rifle. Poor AMMO was and is a huge reason for failure also. Mags have been another reason.] Finally, "AK"s not getting 'much' more accurate. Wow. Its crazy how you say that about a series of rifles with a huge variety, many models and improvements... To the M series... Do I need to say more? The '47' compared the the 107? Hah, sounds like your straight out of Call of Duty. Or one of those guys who thinks everything Kalashnikov is a AK-47. (The best is when they have shot a Chinese clone IRL and believe all AK's must be like that.) The AK line has has huge improvements in design, accuracy, and engineering. I'm not saying the M16 was never improved, because it was. Yet not nearly asmuch as the Kalashnikov series. I don't even understand how you would not see that.:confused: The M16 series is LEAPS and BOUNDS past the first models/uses. A great rifle. Again thats personal opinion. That doesn't mean it doesn't fail and fail often when compared to other modern assault rifles. I have personally seen and used a export version of a COPY of a near modern Kalshnikov, and I can vouch for its accuracy in comparison to the M4. The 107 would be a fair improvement on the copy. So basically, your still in the 60s... /rant

MulleDK pretty much forfeit his oppinion when he said this. Perhaps everyone else does care. Performance is poor at best, its been improving and I am sure it will in the future. Yet right now, it would cut even more people out of the community. DMM alone could be a performance hog, depending on how detailed it was. Second of all, the bugz. I could not imagine what introducing completely new systems into the mix would do. We still have some everlasting flaws since OFP. Man I cannot imagine the bug squashing that would have to happen to make Real Virtuality play nice with the others. Finally, are you going to pay for the licenses? Havok itself is a pretty penny and I do not know how much a license for Euphoria would be. To be honest your being pretty ridiculous considering every creator in the world would introduce these systems into there games if it was free. I don't mean to be a total douchebag, but it seems that is what your aiming at with your initial post. I support BIS, and I can completely understand why they wouldn't use third party software with the next release, IF there is another release of Arma. Again, my personal opinion. I'm not saying it wouldn't be kickass, (Because it would.) but I'm looking at it from another perspective. Personally I'm looking for, REAL 64bit support instead of what we currently have. Better multi-core support/usage. Better bug squashing, and another great game.

Love the mod, great addition to the game. I almost exclusively play with ACE, and now have been incorporating it into my missions. I also am very grateful at how often ACE gets updated and improved. It seems ACE has no limits! I expect ACE to evolve far longer than ARMA itself. (As we have seen it the past.) On a random note, could anyone perhaps help me with a possibly ACE related problem? I'm looking to use the ACE rucksack system, with specifc RU Spetsnaz units. The problem being that they already have 'rucksacks' of sorts built into the avatar. Using the ACE rucksacks ontop shows a ton of overlap/tearing. I've tried every bag, hoping one could either go over, or be small enough to go under... None work. Is there anyway to make the rucksacks invisible, smaller, bigger, or perhaps just use the function of it. (No respawns intended BTW.) I've tried other backback systems. None that I have tried give the functionality of the ACE ones. (In terms of use/interface, being able to store anything, needed and impact on weight.) I don't want to clutter this thread, so if you know anything that may help me, or any other system/script that I could use to reproduce the desired effect, let me know! (In a PM.) Hmm, I'm getting 5-10 fps more on average with Windows 7 compared to Vista, and 3-7 fps more when compared to a fresh install of XP. Overall 7 has been the best system for me performance wise. (Not to mention the other ways it surpasses XP.) I would honestly never go back to XP. (Or OSX) I even enjoyed Vista more.

Man, if this every gets Berezka. (Or if any mod uses Berezka) Let me know... I'm surprised that it is not used more considering.

Probably a Ak-107 GP-30, and PSO, for overwatch and long engagement distances. Otherwise a 107 with Kobra for most everything. Four to Six mags, and 2 smoke grenades, then if need be other things. The Bison is tons'o'fun! The VSS Vintorez is also a favorite of mine. Brutally effective up to about 400m, and 500m with alot more risk. Of course with crazy drop. PKP/m249, happen to be favorite(s) aswell. I don't usually like support weapons, but these ones suits my fancy. This game needs the Abakan... AN-94. I wish ACE would put it in... I'm not sure if it could even be modeled accurately... I've never seen it function accurately in a game ever. It is going to be Russia's new service rifle now after all. Gorka (Or Berezka) and Smersh are definitely my favorite gear setups... Its sad that they are seen very little in game. (Not that it changes anything in game.) Finally Shifty said the 100 series is in 5.45... Very wrong. (The 107 happens to be.) The series was meant to be very diverse. It has rifles chambered in 5.45x39mm, 5.56x45mm nato, and 7.62x39mm M43. Also you said Russias strong point is not in engineering. (Right after you mentioned not to say things like they are facts.) Well that is a huge opinion aswell as an insult to them and you dont have the right to say that. Unless your making up your own definition of engineering of course. No need to be a douchebag or anything. (I don't need to go around proclaiming how ugly the M series' are :p) There is enough Anti America, and Anti Russia shit going on already. No need to make anymore. Opinions are opinions, nothing more so lets at least try not to be hypocrites here. ;)

The underlined is COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT to needing a defrag. Actually, that's a reason you WOULD defrag. Patches tend to fragment files. Which can be a direct cause of stuttering. (Just incase you have not realized.) CBA addon has been known to cause stuttering after 1.03. I think a few others aswell. Try without any addons, (Just noticed you don't...). Try diagnosing for yourself. Drivers, driver settings, etc. can cause stuttering also.
