this is basic arma 2 with newest patch, when i use crossfire the frames do not increase but stay the same. i also have this issue with flickering shadows with them being on very high,high,normal and even low. http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k572/Stephanie_Suffron/armashadowbug1.png > 100kb http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k572/Stephanie_Suffron/armashadowbug2.png > 100kb notice the back of the character, also in the foreground how the lighting has changed a little. the shadow only "flickers" if i move the mouse but if i run one certin way it wont Flicker, say if i was looking straight and a shadow was on my back i turn left and when i barely turn it flickers off. my current pc specs are Windows 7 64 bit i5 750 asus p7p55 ws Supercomputer xfx 5870 Crossfire 4 Gig Ram 10,000 RPM Hard Drive using 10.10e hotfix with 10.10 crossfire app, already tied 10.11 things were just as bad also using eyefinity 5090x600 ---------- Post added at 08:20 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:05 AM ---------- also my fps never goes above 25, with and without crossfire on.

i know for a fact my cpu is not causing bottleneck, it is currently running stock speeds and i do plan on overclocking it. but the flickering is only in a few areas all these problems never occured untill the most recent patches.

playing online, don't know if it's single player havent seen it but i get constant freezing every little while and it somewhat locks up my computer unable to alt tab or alt control delete. after a minute or two the game resumes. so i figured everything out it's all pretty simple now, a little bit of a easier way to do everything. Disc Arma 2, Steam Arrowhead. with the "_runA2CO" .batch file prompt create a shortcut and place it where you wish to activate it, me i chose desktop. inside of there you rightclick and add your mods and such but make sure you add Quotation marks inside of it, here's a example "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\_runA2CO.cmd" "-nosplash" "-cpucount=4" "-exThreads=7" "-mod=@3rdp" this is my exact copy and paste, it must have the " at start and end, because the cmd promt does not recognize the = by it's self. you can impliment more mods as such "-mod=@3rdp;@TGmaps;@xxx;@;xxx" and such, as long as you once again keep it between the " " marks. this theorteically should work for d2d guys also, so now everyone has combined arms and mods both working. ALSO! You will not see mods under expansion, but they will be there running. Another thing! if your like me and don't enjoy the cmd promt icon you can change it and make it the "Arma2 Arrowhead" launch icon on desktop if you wish by searching around a little.

Disc arma 2, Steam Arrowhead. i've tried everything to get my mods to work through the "Expansions" but they seem to not want to appear for me, where can i find a step by step instructions or someone tell me how to do this?

okay, before anyone asks yes i have read and looked everywere for this information and well, i'm going to start a fresh install on my computer because i belive there is a virus messing everything up that i cant find. but i do own a legit copy of arma 2 and i installed it using a cd key when i bought the game at best buy, now i have a 3 year old neice who got ahold of my arma code and destoryed it i figured it's fine w/e then i realise oh crap i'm gonna start over on my computer so the issues is how do i find my cd key for arma 2 in my computer? thanks.

well, seems like i've got to buy another copy.. i just reformatted and evidently the registry didnt make it, i'll just wait for OA combo pack to come out or something.. thanks for trying to help yall. although i did write down and keep the coded cd key, now i guess if i wanna try and play it i gotta somehow find a converter.

is it possiable to transfer this information over to say, a flash drive then after fresh install manually input the reg?

the only info i can give you was that i found it where cyborg told me and in that folder i found 3 hkey's Default James KEY and the Key i found "KEY"=Hex:xx,xx,xx,xx,xx,xx,xx,xx,xx,xx,xx,xx,xx,xx,xx and i'm assuming it's under a coded format how do i uncode this? the x's stand for numbers and letters so its like 2e,43,x7.. etc.. <- not real code

ok now that i have the key how do i decript this? should i just write all of this code down letter by letter, space by space and type out my own hkey when i get arma 2 installed back on? well i should say the file says it's a Key=HEX" numbers and letters" not gonna reveal the numbers or letters but yeah.

Okay i looked through everything and i found my key's in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bohemia Interactive Studio but i didnt find a Bohemia file under Local i exported them to my desktop and all i seen was.. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bohemia Interactive Studio] [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bohemia Interactive Studio\ArmA 2] "Player Name"="James" when i hit edit, i mean that's what i see. now i see Default which is binary 0 0 0 0 then james which is 1 and 0's but is there anyway i can see my key in full? because i am going to get a fresh type hard drive install

i have mando missle mod installed though the Tactical Gamer Patch, and it seems i'm the only one having this problem, when i select a custom load out for my jet it seems to not have a LGB camera or A2Gmissle Camera just Flaps up and down, and custom keys and Colors from MMA, but the thing is it works when i dont get a custom load out like when i hop into the a10 its there both of 'em and if i could get some help that'll be great

Hello, for a long time i've been a writer, i've wrote many short stories, it's my hobby so i have this intricate and neat idea floating around in my head involving a story taking place in lushful island, to deserts, to snowy mountains. and hopefully my own custom maps. the story will be grand i promise you this it will have a awesome story, with a good soundtrack and fantastic gameplay, i don't want to scare anyone away but i want to use the words Realistic-Call of Duty i know, but the vision for this mod is that cool stuff happening almost all the time around you, yes it will rely heavily on scripts with very, very interesting characters. I am no professional when it comes to Scripting or coding, so i need alot of help when it comes to the community, post and give me your ideas what you want to be added in the game, and i will do my best to make sure it gets thought about and talked about alot and we might put a little of our own tweaking into the game. Voices, American/British/Russian/chinese I want good voices, no bad/overacting here good solid deep voices everyone who PM's me or Emails me will be thought hard on, and if the team gives the okay, i will email or Pm you back mind you there are going to be alot of voicing in this game because there is quite a bit of script, the commands will be re-told from move, to flank or hold fire. Map Makers/ Modders I need people who know how to create islands, and who is good at it. *panthera island maker, i'm looking at you buddy* i don't want people to get bored being in the same island throughout the whole game with just one single setting i have to have multiple locations like i said Sandy deserts, Lushful jungle, snowy areas. flooded cites, burnt down cities. alot of thought is going into this. the only one around remotely close is panthera island, and Quesh-kibrul, i'll prolly go with those. The main concept behind it, is it is based in chapters the start of the game will take place in either Cheneras or Utes? there's a war going on the RCU (Russian chinease alliance) Invades the island for some unknown reason *story spoiler* and as the American and brits are about to go in a couple of nukes go off, while your still on the carrier everyone quickly gets there shit togeter and goes in full force your in a helicopter something similar to EW, since i want it to use the EW fillter cuz it's badass. your chopper get's shot down, but i'm gonna make it where you can't control it scripted moment. you and some other guys survive, some more stuff does down in that mission then everything will shift to a new island and taking it back to the russians and a Secret organization that wants to start WW3 is behind it all.. i do want to restrict the player a little, not much i mean i want multiple triggers from diffrent angles to see the scripted moments, but i want them to wander, and explore. but the core basis will be bad ass action, and amazing set peices and story. see, i mean i have all these ideas and i want to put them out there, i just am not good at ARMA editor or modding, that's why i'm trying to assemble a team. i just want to create a amazing cinimatic experiance on a professional level for this game, if it takes years, fine but this will be the best campaign ever.
