I mainly play wastelands, especially the fakstah editions where you have to capture the bases. If any dev's read this, at the moment it is a great game but I fear that bringing snipers into the mix will ruin it. All there will be is 40 + snipers all sitting in bases picking people off. Just my 2 cents.

Played tonight on the same servers and didn't crash once. My 3770K is running at 59,58,57,59. GFX card running at 55 c so temp is Ok for me.

It seems to be random, last night I was freezing, pressing ctrl alt del to get out of the game and getting the message ARMA 3 has stopped responding, tonight though the game is freezing, just shutting itself down, or I am getting the red message saying no message received for 5, 10, 15, 20 seconds and having to escape out of the game. Not a big deal but in ARMA 2 if I wanted to choose my class I would drag my name over to AT Soldier, if I do it in ARMA 3 the game stops responding. Same as when I wanted to change Helicopter controls, I would drag the new control over, say for example "mouse up". Same thing though, the game stops responding. I have noticed though if I just click where the class of soldier is, my name moves over and it works OK. As I said not a big deal but just something I wanted to mention.

I bought the game yesterday (thought I would leave it a month to get a few patches happening) and tried wastelands and am having the same problem as most people with not being able to move and the "stop trying to play this game yada, yada, yada". So last night I tried the editor, set a few enemy soldiers in town and spawned myself a few hills away, started the game and spawned inside of a see through rock and couldn't get out. So today I switched to the DEV game and tried online again but everytime I pick my class the game stops responding. I will try again later on because after seeing the you tube vids I can't wait to actually get to play the game.

Finally got on a server and, wow, running everything at very high and ultra and the game looks and plays amazing. Didn't see anybody else so just drove around, then jumped in a boat and went for a sight see round the island. My favourite game has to be the original op-flash but looking at this game I can see I am going to have a new favourite game Great job BIS.

Just a quick question, I just patched OA to 1.6.2 and I have about half the servers that I normally get. I also just changed my Internet security to a free AV and started using windows firewall again. Does windows firewall block a lot of servers or am I just missing something. Thanks for reading.

Thanks for the link docbrown, that explains it. I don't like having to keep refreshing the list though because my router firewall blocks around two thirds of the servers, as in it shows them with a red cross. If I give it 5 minutes though and click one of the servers with a red cross, the server will appear. So I have to do this everytime I refresh the server list with every server that shows up blank with a red cross. Anyway if I type domination in the server filter then I am OK.

I had an ATI 4870 before buying a MSI GTX 560 ti twin frozr ll, It is great the performance boost it has given me but why do Nvidia bring out drivers that do not work. The 295.73 make gaming unplayable (micro stuttering), the 296.10 crashes my PC and sends the screen purple, and the new Beta 301.24 gives me around 6 frames per second. I have formatted my PC and gone back to the 285.62 drivers I don't think I will be buying another Nvidia card as the ATI drivers never gave me any problems.

I have been away for a while and have started playing again, my problem is :- I have started the Harvest red campaign again but everytime I stop playing and then come back to it, there are no saved games I just end up at the start back on the ship. The auto save is working during the game but as I say I cannot see any place to load the saved games. When I click on harvest red it just says start. Any help would be appreciated. Also on another note, I only played the domination part of the game online, but I can't seem to find any servers that are not revive. Are all domination games now revive only ? Thanks for reading. Edit Just fired up harvest red, started back on the ship, played a few auto saves, and now the saves are there. Beats me why it hasn't been saving for a few weeks but it looks like it is OK now.

This is a strange one, when I start the game and go to multiplayer, I have about 15 percent servers with green dots, 15 percent with yellow dots with the exclamation mark, 10 percent are red crosses and the other 60 percent are red crosses with no server names, 0 players and a question mark for the ping. In the past I have just ignored the red crosses as servers I can't play on. Today however I clicked on a red cross with no server name showing and it changed to showing a server with a green or yellow dot, so I clicked on every red cross and 90 percent of them came up as servers with the green or yellow dots that I could actually play on. I would hate to have to do this everytime I play multiplayer now I know the servers are hiding. Anyone got any insight as to why this happens ? Thanks for reading. Also after I click on all the servers with no info and a red cross and make them all appear, when I do a refresh they all disappear again and show as red crosses with no server name again.

Just one of those windows F*** ups mate, I just had the same problem with my Mum's. Got a phone call off my mum the other night saying her computer wouldn't boot and it is saying press ctrl alt del. Tried everything to get it working, in the end I just hooked her HDD up to my comp, got all the important stuff off then formated. My mum isn't a power user, just internet and e-mail so I didn't over clock her comp. So IMO Overclocking has nothing to do with it, Just windows. Most of the time your computer will just switch off if it gets too hot with overclocking. GFX overclocking, the game will shut down, and memory overclocking will give you BSOD.

Also in CCC enable adaptive AA.

I never played OP Flash on multiplayer, I played ARMA for about 10 minutes on single player and never played it again so I can't say whether those games had the warping or not. ARMA 2 though, when shooting at the enemy from a few hundred metres is nigh on impossible. My opinion on this is server lagg. The reason being is that when I am in multiplayer and flying a heli solo or driving a HMV solo it is as smooth as silk, whereas if I am a passenger in a heli or HMV then the heli or vehicle jumps all over the place because the heli or vehicle is running to the pilot/drivers connection speed and not mine. I remember when ARMA 2 first came out playing the EVO maps, I would be on the runway in the MHQ waiting for the plane to pick me up. 2 minutes later I would say to my mate on Team speak, "whenever you are ready I am on the runway", his reply was " what do you mean, I have allready picked you up and am halfway to the battle". So he was flying to the battle with me in the MHQ on his computer,and on my computer I was still sat at the base in the MHQ with my mate hovering above me in the plane. The worst part about this warping for me on some servers is trying to hit a heli with a stinger.

"Still shaking it here boss" :cool::D Thanks vohk, I was begining to think no one had at least one server that didn't show. To answer your question: I install arma 2 dvd, arma 2 OA dvd, BAF from sprocket, then the 1.56 patch. No add ons, no mods, just the files that come on the dvd and baf download. When I formatted and re-installed everything, I checked the multiplayer on ARMA 2 standalone before I installed OA and all the servers were showing. So this must be a problem with OA. I have had this problem since I first bought OA on release day so I don't think it has anything to do with the patches either mate. I am in the third world country known as England, with a 5Mb connection, so maybe this is cutting out before all the servers have refreshed. I also thought that maybe the servers were not showing up because of high pings but alot of them have a 31 ping.

Ok lets try this another way, when I click on multiplayer I have no servers showing, all I get is a blank table with a column of red crosses down the left hand side. When I click to the right of a red cross a server appears and the red cross changes into a green dot. This is not about incompatability, this is not about a diiferent engine. This is about no information at all just a red cross. X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X This is all I see.

This is hard to explain. I understand that servers with a red cross have different patch numbers so I can't play on them. What I am seeing is 60 percent red crosses with no information in the host, type, mission and status columns, a question mark for the ping and 0 players. If I click on a blank line, the red cross turns to a green dot and all the information appears. How do I take a screen shot in ARMA 2 this would probably explain the situation better.

Turned off both firewalls and Anti virus, forwarded ports, fresh install of all ARMA 2 software, formated computer and done anther fresh install of all software and still have all the blank servers with a red cross. I guess with the lack of replies then I am one in a million. Surely someone else has this same problem.

I have a 4870 512mb, quad core 9450 clocked to 3.4 on air and 4 gig of ram running windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. In the benchmarks I get between 52 and 55 FPS. IMO it doesn't matter whether you have the latest and greatest GFX card or CPU. Looking at all the threads since the inception of ARMA 2 you are either lucky or you are unlucky. Nobody has any idea as to why this runs on some systems and not others. Running 1680 x 1050 res, everything on normal apart from video memory = very high, annistropic filtering = off, quality preference = very high, post processing = low, shadow detail = high, v.sync = off, visibility around 3,000.

Try this. 1. Install ARMA 2 (do not install any patches yet) 2. Install operation Arrowhead. (this will update your ARMA 2 to 1.07). 3. Install operation arrowhead patch 1.55 (this will also update your ARMA 2 to 1.08. If you have BAF then install this last, then install patch 1.01.

When you start ARMA 2 combined operations and you get to the menu that says single player, multi player, options......... The bottom one should say "expansions". If you open that up you should see both the games. If you open single player you should have both ARMA 2 and OA missions. If you play multiplayer then you can only play the map that is on the server which you want to play on. If you want to play ARMA 2 basic on multi player you have to go to a server which is creating and choose your own map from Chenarus or the other one. The other option is to just use the ARMA 2 icon to start the game and not ARMA 2 CO. I hope this information helps you because I couldn't understand your post very well.
