yes, from the folder, and from six updater, same thing black screen then ctd.

Every time I verify files in steam I get 1 item failed and will re acquire. launch game, black screen, repeat process over. Fresh install of steam, fresh install of arma, game worked fine for years. I have reinstalled many times, gone as far as deleting the backups I had of arma, and redownloading it, the reinstalling, still to no avail. I tried taking the command lines out, but it didn't help. I seen those lines in the RPT too but have no idea what to do to fix that, Reinstalling hasn't helped thus far though. I was thinking maybe something in the registry needs to be cleared out before I should reinstall again? I would need further advice but have heard of this happening with other games.

So, I'm using steam, I have all DLC's, Game has run fine for years. Specs: Evga x58 classified I7 920 6gb corsair dominator evga 480 classified evga 280 classified for physx and 1 of the 3 monitors. I recently reinstalled windows, and copied my steam folder over to a different drive, then after install, moved it back, reverified everything, and it didn't work. Since then I have uninstalled, reinstalled, deleted backups and redownloaded the whole game and dlc's over, reinstalled steam, etc. I am indeed running everything via administrator. hey everybody, how goes? lately iv been having very poor performance issues with arma 2. i just upgraded my video cards from (2) nvidia geforce 2600's. now im running these system specs: nvidia 780i mobo q9300 quad core chipset 8 gigs ram (2) evga geforce gtx 260's SLI vista home premium sometimes my frames drop under that what they were with the 9600s, and its really starting to piss me off after investing almost 700$ into 2 new cards. my frame rates while playing as a person in the game are around 10-20. while flying in a helicopter their up around 26-30. im running most settings pretty high, but iv spent a lot of time incrementally changing things to see what it is, and no matter what i get the same frame rates. even after overclocking my cards around 10-15% the frames stay the same, things just get a little choppier.

Hello, my second question in the troubleshooting. lately I have been experiencing a lot of crashes halfway through editing missions. Ill spend a good 45 minutes editing a map, I'll fire it up for a preview to make sure nothings glitchy and the battles are clean, and i get a few minutes in and the game just freezes for a second, and closes. this is a new problem, never had it before last night. any advice?

hello, iv been playing arma for about a week now, must say, its pretty much crack to me. although, since i bought the steam version, because i was too impatient to wait for it to come out in canada, i tried to install some mods and somehow steam wouldnt launch arma anymore, it kept asking for a cd key. so i googled the problem, found out i had to delete arma, and re download it. i did that, and now, textures dont show up properly, iv spent a couple hours calibrating the graphics trying to work things out, but still no avail. my system specs are : Intel Q9300, 2.5Ghz, 1333Mhz FSB, 6MB Cache nVidia 780i SLI Chipset 8GB DDR2 SDRAM nVidia 9600GT 512MB Vram 2x 640GB SATA Drive Super-Multi DVD±R/RW Drive 7.1 Channel HD Audio Acer Chassis with Custom Water-Cooling System 750W Power Supply Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit
