Anyone know the status of the 2.0 update for PE users? I haven't heard a thing and the VBS2 forums don't have a mention of it.

I've been trying to get the AI to execute various Moves but unfortunately, they're not working. Does ToH utilize the same scripting commands as ArmA II/OA i.e; this playMoveNow "what ever the move is" , or were animations just not implemented in ToH?
-
Thanks for the help mate. I haven't tried switch move. What I've always done (in ArmA) is to place a waypoint, and type the command into the On Act field (ex. this playMoveNow "AmovPercMevaSlowWrflDf"). Works perfectly in ArmA but I've yet to get it to function in ToH.

Stunning work, gents! -
Had the intent to do a custom background, but I gave up on it. Might do it tomorrow. The Beta is great thus far.

Before After -
...single handedly (Gurkha). After expending all of his ammo, 40mm grenades, and pistol rounds, he emplaced Claymore mines so close to himself that the explosions ruptured the blood vessels in his eyes. He eventually fought hand to hand and used a 240 tripod and a sandbag to bludgeon the enemy to death as they entered his fighting position. Holy fucking shit! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1393355/Hero-Gurkha-handed-bravery-medal-Queen-said-I-thought-I-going-die--I-tried-kill-I-could.html

You're absolutely, 110% wrong. That said, so am I.... to an extent. Because the blade is rotating, and not flying straight into the air, then the outer tip will be moving through the air faster than the base. In fact, the airspeed of the blade will increase as you move out. So what will happen is that the tips of the blades will be the first to reach mach 1. A shock wave will form at the tip of the blade. As the blade increases rotational speed, the shockwave will move along the blade as more of the blade goes supersonic. Perhaps tran-sonic to ultra-sonic was a more correct term. This can be cut down significantly if the tail-boom assembly is a rotor-less, push pull fan.

Ugghh... supposed experts and armchair generals. Guess what? It is not the engines that are audible. It's physics, that loud whomp whomp you hear when a helo is near, that is the tips of the rotor-blades breaking the sound barrier as they spin through the air. The only way to avoid that is to slow the turbine rotation down, and thus to an extent, making the aircraft more vulnerable to SAF in its various forms and spotting by enemy combatants.

And that my friend, would be the singular reason I prefer Iron Front to Invasion 44. The Western Front of the ETO has been done, done once more, and rehashed over and over again in more games then I can count. Barbarossa, and the subsequent battles leading up to the defeat of Germany are rarely explored in gaming, especially in a FPS/TPS tactical war-game. Give me Gotterdammerung any day of the week!

Epic. I know that word is thrown around a lot, but its actually fitting here.

first impression and any questions
DetCord replied to stephsen's topic in IRON FRONT: LIBERATION 1944 - GENERAL
I think IFL:44 captures the Eastern Front very well, better than any game to date to be quite honest. I'm thoroughly impressed. That said, I have experienced my fair share of bugs, CTD's, and performance issues, all of which have been discussed previously so I won't go into those. Looking forward to the continued support/patching that will inevitably squash the issues and the potential for expansions. Seelow Heights anyone? -

Just wanted to add that I'm getting them as well, here and there, mostly randomly and not associated with any like event or mission. Odd to say the least. -

I enjoyed it up to a point. However, it's quite obvious the CoD crowd has oozed into ArmA with the news of this mod. I never get tired of the blatant racism in every chat, dick and fart jokes, and players with the screen-names of XX!360NoScope420!XX and FokkingFag. :icon_rolleyes:
