The beta patch only seemed to fix mouse accel but the game still lags horribly.

I am getting low fps or and loading lags (random slow loading screens, textures not loading right away and models not loading right away). This game and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky are the only games I cannot max. I am also using the beta patch build: 58899 or something like that, it is the latest beta patch. Lower settings look like crap and this is a 2009 game so It is one of those games that can be a pain to look at if it isn't maxed. Interesting, I am downloading now and will post after I test it. I will cross my fingers in hope that it actually fixes it. ---------- Post added at 09:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:34 PM ---------- Just did a basic test. The patch makes it work for me like I would want it to. I can also see where people might think the game was suppose to have smoothing. When moving just your head the inertia thing makes it seems a bit laggy but at least it starts to move when you want it to, plus looking wont effect your aiming because your gun isn't your face (head mounted machine guns could be the future of warfare???). I do notice a tad smoothness or what not but its much better then it use to be. Thanks funkee for the link

Is there anyway to get this for the steam version? I have been having all sorts of issues and just fixed everything except for the mouse lag. The only fix that works for me is lowering the game settings, making the game look less appealing.

I can't play anything without normal mouse acceleration on, it just feels so strange so that fix is out for me.

I wish they just fixed the game so it doesn't super lag out. I can sorta get use to the mouse lag but the horrible lag later makes it unplayable.

The mouse lag I experienced was where the mouse wouldn't move right exactly when I moved the mouse. The stopping however I never gave a thought to. I also think I noticed some lag between clicking and firing. The frame rate of the game was fine. Also to show even more mouse, when I maxed the settings during the main menu the mouse should be all spazzy but the frame rate would be playable. My friend won't even play the game until more patches come out because of how poorly optimized this game is. It reminds me of Saints Row 2. It doesn't like me, probably because I am using windows 7.

I noticed that reducing the 3D Resolution seems to solve the mouse lag issue. However, on the first mission when I look down the hill, even the lowest of game settings lag me. Also can someone please post how to set pre-rendered frames to 1 on an ATI card if it is possible.
