  1. Can anyone help me with this problem, all i want to do is destroy the bridge or building, i thought it would be the same as destroying a unit. I've got the ID18193 and in a trigger condition,ive put !alive ID18193, and on the act. I've just put a hint in, to see if it works which it doesn't... thank you for your help with yet another newbie.. :)

    ARMA2 and Kinect

    From wot i understand Microsoft doesn't own the the rights to the motion capture tech, it was rumored that a PC version is indeed on its way before this Christmas. I have been following kinect from the start, and most people that had a go, weren't that impressed with it. There biggest gripe was the delay, even though it was only very slight. Think I'll hold of the pre-order and see wot its like, once the dust has settled...
  3. Hello, the only solution would be to turn off all your mods,and switch 1 on at a time go back into the editor and check........
  4. SIXTWO, your system specs are way to low to run arma2 at max settings,read through some of the posts here first. Your processor is weak, u want an i7 or the new amd 6 core,and a brand new top of the range graphics card. Plus ddr3 mother board and ram.

    Joystick Throttle

    Like Baz, i have tried all of the above, i have used my saitek software and it registers the throttle as soon as i lift it. But arma seems to miss the first 50% of it. I have taken it off analog in-game now as suggested above, and while its a little better its still not 100%. Cheers for help though! much appreciated.

    I've using a set of Roccat KAVE for about 4 months,and i must say im really impressed with them. If you can stretch your budget and get them,you will not be disappointed.

  11. Can i pick your brains some more please!? Say if my bridge has 3 IDs marked on it and i would like to display a message when all 3 parts have been destroyed. Wot you said above works a charm,its just i would like to extend the damage to all 3 parts before the message is produced....any ideas????

  13. Before everyone says "search before posting,i have. And cannot find an answer, mainly because im new to mission making and most of the commands go way over my head. But im learning slowly,like everyone does!! THE QUESTION- Im running norrins convoy script, but i would like the convoy to start on a trigger, activated by BLUFOR. I've a try'd so many commands to start it but im having no luck, im sure its an easy problem to solve,if someone can point me in the right direction, i would be a happy person again.
  14. Thanks for your help,it didnt work for me, but as it worked for the other guy,it must be me doing something wrong. I have changed the amount of waypoints and units in my mission,but i have adjusted the text to allow for that. i know it will be something silly thats wrong,so will go through the script and triggers to see wots up with it. Cheers again.

I'm having trouble running your great looking mod,Ive added all your files,into the editor,and it all goes well,it plays through apart from the artillery never lands.Im using ACE,CBA and a few others etc, it finds the target ok,the radio chatter comes through,it says its prepare for splash(or similar). Im only using the laser method i have try'd various other ways but no joy. Has anybody else had similar problems,that you could shed some light on the matter for me? Sorry i've sorted it,i didnt hit confirm!!!! thats held me up for about 3hrs! next time pay attention to the videos!!!

  18. Can someone please help me, I've looked and checked the forums but cant seem to find the answer. When i place triggers, Im unable to move or delete them. It says in the RTE manual that triggers are used in the same way as the normal editor, but clearly for me that is'nt the case. when i move the mouse pointer over them it doesn't register a trigger at all, Please someone put me out of misery.

    Can one of you nice people please tell me how to remove and move triggers?? I've put a few down and seem unable to do anything about it?? Sorry for the newbie question, im still bending my head around it all,there's no doubt it is a great program to use, once you learn to use it :)

    Monsters, zombies and so on

    Been having lots of fun with this zombie/infected mod, however is it possible to get some sort of control over movement? i.e. triggers and such?? At the moment as soon as the first group of zombies see you,all zombies on the map head towards you,well from wot i can gather?!? I cant seem to get them to hold there position until the player has reached a certain point on the map. i understand its still very much w.i.p, or a side project, but if u get chance to answer that would be much appreciated.

    I recommend that people download those test missions,wot a great laugh. make an ammo crate, put a few hundred zombies down, and just have a blast. pure class, this is the sort of thing people want when it comes to zombies!! .......a kill fest :) thanks!!

    Why is this game not more popular?

    As a new user myself, the main gripes is that its over complicated, things like ordering your team, there is just to many commands. how many line formations do you really need? getting your team to not fire or only fire when fired upon, entering buildings, trying to get them into vehicles, watching them drive is annoying at best. im sure arma vets will have no problem doing these things, but your average user wont. In short, poor interface. The campaign is disjointed, some parts are really good and involving while other parts are unclear and boring. The single player missions are an improvement but there is not enough of them. Multiplayer can be a big disappointment, everyone thinks this has great potential but it just doesnt live up to it, i cant understand why people would choose to play online and then fight bots? the game is crying out for a simple PvP mode which is included from the 'off. Trying to get on a server with MODS is also a nightmare,the server should download the MODS needed when you connect, or turn of MODS which are not allowed, all this needs to be done automatically. MODS are quite simply the best thing about the game, i must have about 30+ going but they are far to hard to get working,people don't want to be opening folders and changing the game icon text to get them working. The launchers now are very good and a massive time saver, BIS should include there own with the game. I personally love the game, i understand its a simulation, and there-fore not easy to play but there must be a happy medium some where, where it can get the sales of an arcade shooter,and yet still be tough as balls, maybe different modes could be included, so new players can get to grips at a steady pace. Anyways its just another opinion, nothing more.
