sorry my bad... but no I dont have the prob either way I do see some small issues but nothing major for me....yet I am not running any 3rd party controller software... you seem to have more than ur share of issues

I dont know how bad this issue is but then gameplay and depth are far more important to me and I can cook/overheat both my quadcore and my 9800GT with 80 -90% utilisation in task manager etc with ok fps for this game.

@skypine27 FYI with a system like urs I think you made a mistake using the Green WD drives. With specs a bit below yours I built identical rigs for my Bro and one for me... mine had WD Black drives and his had the Greens we chose Raid0 for both builds but had to send the Green drives back as they caused stutters in games and streaming video. If you search the net you will find they are a very poor choice for a top end rig like yours.

as I read it: it will not be improved and I think other posters are referring to the actual style and virtual location ie desert/mountains.

if you are an experienced user you can disregard this post... sounds like a conflict with another bind... does it have any red letters or other binds for that key in the mapping window? as I think it has a default zoom bind which requires a hold on the key press to zoom... that would explain why it wont work for full auto fire... to test make sure that you only have that action bound to that key and no others by deleting all other binds for that key. that said I have noticed some strange key mapping behaviour in A2... definately not perfect.

I am not sure how you are monitoring CPU utilisation but my Q6600 runs at 80% - 90% on all 4 cores while in game in Arma2 XPSP3 32

I was not there so am only guessing.... he could have done a number of things such as: dload a nocd crack which replaces the genuine exe file he could have tried some game file editing he could have made a cd image that is loaded with virtual drive software. Personally I have found that in cases like yours it is often just easier to delete all traces of the program using good cleaner software and/or reloading vga drivers. If you cant use or find the cleaner software or are not happy to edit your registry etc reinstall the game over the install that is there it may replace /fix any files that are screwed or missing. hope this helps good luck. ps I have seen and heard this "pc expert" story so many times

yep I have had the seam effect with ATI 3870 in AA2 and I get the flicker in AA2 and ARMA with 9800gt LOL I fixed one thing when I swapped cards but gained another......

could any of many possible things an easy one to check is any firewall/security software that may be blocking the arma.exe

mine too happened not long after first sp mission new install..... does not happen in user mission no mods

I am noob at this game... BUT I fully expect to be shot at times that I think I am hidden. To be hidden from one is not to be hidden from all. My RL experience with Paintball, IR LaserTag and real weapons proves this again and again. It aint perfect but its great....

well I have only just bought the CD after messing with demo for quite some time. I have been lurking here since A2 demo came out. I did not play A1 Anyone that does not think this game/sim is monumental is completely missing the point. To compare it with the usual Crytec/COD is apple/oranges I played COD4 for about an hour and have not missed it. Have come over from AA2 online/Falcon4 This game is so complex it cant possible be complete or 100% bug free. I have not had any major bugs or probs yet but I expect to get them in time. I can live with some to get what this game can give..... I cant wait to DL some of the missions and mess with Editor etc ps I have a mid range rig...game runs ok with most settings high, no post proc. all 4 cpu run up around 80% Q6600 @ 3ghz 2G ram 9800GT 1G 2 x WD Black Raid 0 XP Pro sp3 32bit

I get what looks like snow on all trees and some flashing textures.

@urbanwarrior mate all I can say is either you have a bad pc or your settings are all wrong... the demo I downloaded is pretty good I have quick response to KB and mouse input on mid to high settings. All with no tweaking I am sure I will be able to get it looking even better. NME AI may be a bit dumb but not as dumb as Friendly AI... MY TEAM KEEP SHOOTING ME!!!!!!! I have restarted mission many times but after beach landing upto houses after while my own team will kill me even at close range. Anyone else had this happen? I cannot play because they target me... am I missing something?

I see the retail release date in AU is 20/08/09... that being so I dl the flash game and it is terrible on XP Pro SP3 IE8 Flash v10 It is so laggy and stuttering as to be no good unless I stay out of action mode... Is NE 1 else getting a good smooth run with Flash game?
