  1. Cheers guys, you are all really awesome :)
  2. The ellipse is the landing ellipse, the area within which it will land. The center point is where it has the highest probability of landing, as can be seen in the real Curiosity landing ellipses (it shows old and new): http://www.nasa.gov/images/content/658668main_pia15685-full_full.jpg In Take On Mars the accuracy of landing is very high, but of course an error during landing may cause it to land elsewhere (emergency landing).
  3. https://store.bistudio.com/step-by-step-serial-number/ That link shows you how to retrieve the key from your store account. If that fails, let me know, preferably by PM or I may accidentally overlook it.

    Stone Apxs - Mission ref - 6275

Tutorials will be progressively added, so it will help sort out these issues. Also there will be an indicator to show you where the currently selected instrument is. The one for X lets you place debug markers, for debugging things like floating rocks and so on. Useful for mods. When held, R is basically bullet-time :)
  5. Whoa, hey guys, will look into that as soon as I get to work.
  6. Pre-ordering for Take On Mars is now possible on our online store. See here: https://store.bistudio.com/take-on-mars/ Should anyone have any questions, please feel free to ask.

  12. Hi, yes you can choose where to land them (bad idea for landers, as you can send them completely elsewhere of their mission objectives)

  17. Hello everyone, In an attempt to satisfy everyone's curiosity (pun intended), we are proud to bring Take On Mars to Steam's Early Access catalogue on the 1st of August. After this initial launch, we hope to receive feedback and suggestions from players, and work together to create the most dynamic exploration sim game - driven by everyone’s passion for exploration and interest in extra-terrestrial bodies, such as Mars... Better said, especially Mars! We have prepared a short video of the Space Program gameplay to help demonstrate what the player can expect: Let the ideas roll in!

    weather events/Sun set

    Bummer, removed for now then.
  21. Yes, you can control 2 parts of the rover simultaneously, which can of course be selected. This means that you can select to drive with WASD and use the mouse to turn the mast. Or, you could control the main part of the robotic arm via WASD and control its head using the mouse.

    Amount of customization.

The customization of the rovers is mainly in terms of changing the equipment (robotic extensions, cameras, instruments, power sources, antennas and so on), but the base skeleton remains the same (basically a box with wheels). The system works via slots, so the base skeleton has many slots where you can attach equipment, and then some extensions (such as the robotic arm) have more slots, and the whole system is very modular. In the base game we have 3 rover skeletons (small, medium large) and 2 lander skeletons (small, large). Of course, as the skeleton is comprised of many individual parts, you could create your own skeleton config through a simple mod where you would be able to attach individual wheels if you wanted to.

    weather events/Sun set

Fair point, it would not be too difficult to implement as well. Adding to the weather task.
  25. Yes there is, the Editor mode allows you to create scenarios or just play around with everything. You are most welcome.
