Apparently there are some hidden single-player missions in the game. It'll require some editing, but you can open up the Missions.pbo file, go to the Scenarios folder and you'll see the missions there. Copy them over to your main Missions folder to use.;) These missions are: 02_TidalWave Warfare in Chernarus on the side of USMC 04_CounterInsurgency Warfare in Chernarus on the side of CDF 05_Outbreak Warfare in Chernarus on the side of ChDKZ LowLevelHell Fly an Apache to take out a convoy. There may be some problems (these were disabled after all), specifically the Notes section doesn't work. Maybe BIS was going to enable these later?

I'm not sure if this is right, but can .50 rounds penetrate T90 armor? Because i was using a M2 machinegun during a mission & it destroyed a T90 after so many shots. I was so shocked, i had to quickly test it in the editor, against a M1A1... no effect what so ever. So is the T90 suppose to be this weak in real life?!? Or is this an arma2 bug?

Jonnytullwood, nope I've tried everything and can't get my ai team mates to 'suppress'. Tried with mg soldiers, vehicles, etc... targeting on enemy, buildings, objects... nothing works :(

Yeah i've seen the command option also. Never figured how to use it though... maybe it only applies to a team member armed with a MG? I'm curious now, gonna to try it...

What the developers have done so far is very good. Makes playing sneak missions actually worthwhile now, which i couldn't in arma1. So i'm happy. Question: Does having the sniper guille suit model make you 'less visible' to the ai? I seem to remember in ofp, the Spec-op model meant i could crawl right next to an ai soldier. -
I think the speed is fine for all the vehicles (much better than arma1, where the tanks were too fast). The handling for land vehicles should be made easier though and the 'more left/right' command key option seem to make it worst. Maybe BI should bring back the arma1 handling for land vehicles?

I know what you mean by physics and i totally agree, but expect the game to model the russian tanks fairly. Just tried it in Arma1 and the russian tanks are fine. In the game, the M1A1 isn't affected at all. I just don't think the developers would do this on purpose. I'm mean shoot both a shilka and T90... the shilka would take more .50 damage than that tank!

it's definitely an ammo bug against the T90 & T72s. Just in case it might be a specific weapon bug... i just put an whole army of infantry armed with barrett .50 sniper rifles & they manage to kill the tanks with sustained fire as well. Surprisingly, it takes more effort to blow up a Shilka by comparison.

Yep, it's confirmed after more testing in the editor (empty T72s and T90 targets shooting them on the side, first with M2 then with DshKM). It takes 150rnds of .50 calibre to blow up a T90 & 100rnds to kill a T72. How stupid is that?!? With BMPs I can understand, but against a tank is unrealistic. Definitely a bug i think, i'm going to check if anyone has reported this.

Many deaths later... this has made me switch to manual fire, which is only fine for missiles :( When i want cannons dumb a.i. still switches to other weapons even when they're empty. WTF?!? But i agree it was never a problem in ArmA & ofp.

wow Richie nice slow-mo vid there, especially the explosion (reminded me of the beginning scene in the movie Swordfish)... hey it be cool if you can rotate the camera during the explosion. Anyway great job. D3boy, i love your 1st war movie better and spot on music there - goes with the peaceful city scene there. I love that kamov formation take-off (just like blackhawk down movie). Keep up the good work, your vids inspired me to make my own vids (still learning though).

a.i. blows satchel prematurely bug? ...need help.

Tried to do an convoy ambush last night, where i would get my a.i. squad to place satchels on a road, but as soon as he runs back he blows them up prematurely! :mad: I've tried everything from ordering him to 'hold fire' and even in 'safe mode'. Anyone else had this happen? Is this an ai bug? Please help.:( -
Did you know that Arma2 Editor includes an internal command reference? Just put your cursor over a command that you need to know, press F1 and you get a highly helpful screen. No more having to keep alt-tabbing out to check on biki.

Danger and Aware combat modes in arma2. There is a huge difference between the two now... Danger mode is "Oh crap we're gonna be in a firefight any second now" mode, while "Aware" is for basically everything else. Arma2 danger mode is slightly different now, it's not just a case that your a.i. use different stances & use cover anymore. Rather than proceeding at your own pace and hoping your squad keeps up with you - something that was ok in Arma, but your a.i. doesn't like in Arma2. Basically, in Danger mode you advance some meters forward to a piece of cover, then wait for your squad to catch up to you and he declare "Go, I'm covering" and such. Then move forward again, and repeat. Remember to work with your squad in Danger mode.;)

An additional tip that would help is to download other people's missions with arty & see what they do and how the scripts work in the editor. This helped me plenty during ofp days... good luck :)

Yeah, bring back lots of fond memories and film disappoints (Pearl Harbor) that year. It was the time my sister went on and on about the Sims and my mates tried to get me hooked on GTA3. And tried my hardest to rope my mates into playing flashpoint, but they just didn't get it, they simply didn't have the patience. I think I was already hooked on OFP after reading PC Zone's preview & seeing those unit trailers on the website. The game totally blew me away with the immersion factor as pvt. Armstrong's 1st assault on a small town of Houdan, then later hearing the approaching tracks of T72s and running for that heli. evac. on the beach! One of the best gaming experience is getting taken prisoner, then later escape their camp & had to navigate using the north star towards friendly forces, with russians hot on my heels. Never realised avoiding enemies was just as much heart-pounding fun. Since then, I'd never returned to another run & gun fps shooter again. For me it's all about the immersive & tactical gameplay and compelling story that sucks me in. Then the editor & MP elements kept me going for years. I'm glad the developers have the same passion as their fans here. -
4890 here also (but I fitted a better fan than stock)... but no white blobs that you speak of. Do the graphic corruption appear straight away when you start the game? I did remember having flickering blobs in arma1 (after about 1hr play) with my old graphics card because it was running too hot. Are you overclocking your card?

I have the same problem it's worst than it was with 1.01 (it's like a sudden case of short-sightedness). I initially thought it was my crap cpu, but since you guys reported it too, it's got to be a patch problem.

yeah it's damn annoying when that happens, i remember i had to use a script to force the vehicle to 'wait' until everyone has embarked on a few missions. I'm hoping that in arma2, you can actually order ai member that's in your group to land the chopper without 'disembarking'.

does kegetys' mod improve the fps at all? Or is it so marginal that it doesn't matter?
