Inspired by this thread I scoped my closets and reinstalled the Close combat- Invasion Normandy along with Battle of the bulge. Hehe, reminds me of an MP mission I made for our server after attending to one of our members wedding in Poland. The mission involved the bride being captured and players as wedding crashers had to convince local arms dealer to give them guns to go out to get her back... Possibilities are endless.. usually just seeing a map location might give an idea for a mission. Go take a stroll in a map and see what happens. :cool:

Well, I used the reported height setting for Duala which is 10240. Apart from that I'm unsure what else. It does not give any error messages. It just freezes with "Computing" -
RIP mr.Hopper. From later works I like "Blue Velvet" best.

Great stuff madbull. I've been using this couple of times but now I came across a problem: I'm making a mission in Duala and I set the right longitude/latitude settings for Duala and when I tried hosting locally it worked just fine. I was able to get the coordinates and then use mortar to bombard target. But when transferred to dedicated server everyone who tried accessing HQ for fire solution got a white screen with the text "Computing" and it got stuck there. I tried it also and I finally had to close arma with task manager. Any ideas what is wrong? Should I change some other file as well beside the config.sqf? -
I chose Quality only because I usually avoid using any addons apart from islands in my missions. While it is good to have plenty to choose from it also brings up issues for me if I choose to use some small skin upgrade and the mission gets overlooked because of that. Still, I respect the work of all addon makers regardless.

How can I setup virtual artillery?

You could use this: Bon's virtual artillery Works great. I've used it in 2 of my missions. -
Thinking of the famine and misery in the north could it be possible that the sinking of Cheonan was intentional provocation and they knew the evidence would be located... I mean maybe the situation up there is so bad that getting into war is the only honorable way out of their situation? Remember that in Asian cultures "keeping face" is the most important thing.

Well. I had to format my pc two weeks ago. After I got my XP back and updated, I installed steam again. It automatically fetched all my games back installing and updating them. Now that is a blessing after spending ½ day reinstalling windows first. (Don't have A2 on steam though) My only negative aspect on steam is that it sometimes dismisses an achievement got from L4D games... but that might be game related issue. Yay Steam!!

Hi. I once experimented with this kind of issue. Un-PBO my "co16 Skooma sand lions" mission (Needs Panthera island) and see how I went with it.... Sorry but it's awhile since I made it and I'm too busy (and at work) opening up the files and copy pasting them.. I used created LGB bombs in middle of the hull combined with smoke shells. Then after each explosion I used setVectorUp command to tilt a ship more and more until it was capsized. Unfortunately I only got the tilting working on local. it is not seen on dedicated. (If someone solves that please let me know so I can make a fix in the mission) :) -

The display is broken. It supported 1920x1200 (native) which I was using but it was ovescaling all the time and windows did not recognize it anymore. I had to dig up my old 19" acer from storage..... bugger.. -

Guys, I have the most bizarre problem with my display: Yesterday when I jump started my rig I noticed it had lost the driver for the display (Benq G2400W 24") and the resolution had gone awol... In a nutshell: The screen is 24" but the desktop in it is approx 32" and I can only see a part of the desktop. I can scroll it with the mouse though. Tried uninstall/reinstall couple of times but the problem remains... Any ideas? ps. I think I checked that the nVidia scaling settings were ok -

This looks very cool. I was at a toyshop some weeks ago with my son (4 years) purchasing some gizmo for him. When at counter I asked the staff if they have any real lightsabers.. She managed to maintain her cool but looked somewhat puzzled. Some people just don't understand the nature of the force. :) -

I use a separate windowed mode launch without addons (apart from some islands) for editing purpose because of that. Very handy and it eliminates the risk of accidentally using some addon unit. I mainly use the end#1 command in outro camera scripts. I find it works more solid that way but it's just my opinion. -

I assume you have the units in that trigger area at start? Then obviously it will end it at the beginning. Select "GROUP" option from right and draw a connection from the trigger to the group. Then you can select activation from "Vehicle" to "Whole group". Add to the condition line: this && obj1 && obj2 && obj3 && obj4 && obj5 or whatever do you have in the objective triggers.. It can be done fancier ways also I'm sure but this is one way. -

Took some time and effort but I hope you like it. co13 Cowboys from hell *Final* Addons required: None Download from my repository Armaholic link From armed assault info Features: Revive by norrin, artillery by Bon, satellite view by Vienna, UPS by Kronzky, paradrop by Matt Rochelle, guard dogs by Big_Daddy,Mando heliroute, Forward Ops by NouberNou,Music by the Inkspots & Pantera Story/background: Town of Zelenogorsk has been known to be a hive for saboteurs working with russian authorities for a long time now. However this time they managed to ambush a US convoy and get a hold of a US HQ vehicle containing a shipment of experimental G36 rifles. The ones behind the strike have been identified as Svetlana Lumenko - a very nasty shewolf from partisan section, Simon Lenton - an ex SAS man who defected to russia long time ago and is generally known to be a very unstable case. He likes to dress up as priest , just to mention one of his odd habits... The link tower close to town is in use of spreading propaganda amongst local civilians Your team will be deployed with choppers along the main assault force towards LZ near target. From there you will proceed to the link tower and take out the generator powering it. Once done with that objective you are free to pursue the other objectives in free order. Use the satellite to identify your targets and use artillery to take out armored targets to clear the way to main targets. Be aware that all civilians are now armed with G36 rifles so spare no-one. They deserve it anyway. Kill them all!! Some hints/issues: *If played on server which has CBA enabled, be sure to use it also. Otherwise some scripts might backfire *Put the AI units in chopper first before human players *There are no other spawn points except the mobile which is deployed by leader *Mission will fail if all players are unconscious *Let the other infantry squads do the dirty work and concentrate on targets Feel free to give feedback Enjoy! I would love to work for example in Hong Kong and see the buzz there. It's interesting to see how they manage to stop the flow of people moving from countryside to big towns. When there's no-one left to produce the food needed and the welfare network getting overheated in big cities the whole balance can flip with very strong effects. -
Lol, "So, döctor Jones... Vee meet again" I don't get offended but if a game gets very uber-flag waving then it is kind of awkward and annoying. It is a shame that in FPS there isn't much choice in choosing the sides. I like to make my missions in A2 balanced so there's also Russian missions. The situation is much better in games like "Soldiers-Heroes of WW2" and "Close combat" RTS style games. For example in "SHOWW2" German campaign starts off with player being Michael Wittmann trying to push through US lines with his tank crew. Great stuff. Of course with ArmA series I can boost some nationalism myself with enabling the FDF mod.... :D

Very impressive work, Xeno. I had also the same satellite view enabled in our version prior this release. However with new version I'm having difficulties implementing again the [R3F] logistics & artillery which we had on previous version (ours). It's now so different that I can't pinpoint why it won't work. I copy/pasted all from previous version to new one just as they were. (in init.sqf and description.ext). Although I haven't tried transferring it to dedicated yet to try if it works in there... Is it necessary to run the *bat file after each change or only with certain files modified?
