  3. Its standard numerical keyboard layout. 'Enter' button is the rightmost bottom button, it bears broken arrow standard enter symbol.

And silly me thought that EVERYONE knows that we (well, most nations) are using arabic(actually Hindu) numbers :o like 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 :rolleyes: It is no accident that first 'real' university was Middle-age Islamic observatory.. And btw. the symbols used in ArmA OA are Persian/modern Arabic numerals. :)
  5. Yup, this mission fails if u take too long time. Has multiple endings: 1. All targets destroyed, original mission completed 2. Some targets destroyed, landing 3. getting shot & successful crash landing 4. getting shot & bailing out as other posters mentioned 3 & 4 change next mission a bit: Maybe there are more successful outcomes these r all i know about so far, I got shot down really soon on my first campaign play-through, so mission ended without me destorying anything in just few minutes :) At my current try, i destroyed lots of enemy AFV, but ran out of time :( Probably will have to restart mission completly (again).
  6. OA changed usage of mods(and their purpose slightly). No wonder it wont work :) Or is that launcher official one for dedicated servers?

    You most probably take too long since alarm start to reaching the explosives - try to move faster, you should have more time left for disarming.. ---------- Post added at 03:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:15 PM ---------- Kind of. Explosives get armed at Mine alarm start. from then on its timed. Problem is, alarm at mine can be triggered by heavy fighting in town base too, happened to me once. Another case is, if you hang around on insertion for too long, than assault on base suceeds and reinforcements comes and i guess the alert goes up too if it didnt already.. :) Last time i was chatting with guerillas for few minutes and still got plenty time to reach mne and disarm bomb :)

    'Secure' objectives are distance sensitive AFAIK. Meaning if you arrive close enough to obj, it will be 'secured' (maybe need also some dead enemies too, not sure). So as you close up to bomb, you alse close up to secure obj thus having completing both of them short after each other :) Guys did you really saved the guy with code? I got many times to him, he tells me that he was forced to arm the bomb, then say he will tel/givel me the code THEN he just dies.. always has to search his body for code... I always thought his conscience made him to bite cyanid capsule or something (not like computers games make always sense, right?) but... i even just witnessed it again on my second restart of campaign..

    still only 1xGPU in use on 4870x2 @win7 :(( no visible performance boost against 1.52 for me either :/
  13. i give up. i retested again with my current save position in big city, these combinations: Arma2 OA 1.52 (no CF) Arma2 OA 1.52 ran as Arma2.exe (CF used, no FPS boost at all) Arma2 OA 1.52 + BETA patch (no CF - sorry Richey79 [btw i test with GPUs utilization, not CF logo]) i guess yesterday's benchmark test were biasiad somehow compared to actuall gameplay..or i dont know :) ALL of them has almost exact results: 22-32 FPS Arma2 OA 1.52 + BETA patch ran as arma2.exe is the same Also, why the heck with CF actrive my GPUs run at 50% each only? Now i got the same problem.. damn bugs
  14. i can guarantee that CF works with Arma2OA.exe renamed to Arma2.exe, even devs said so already on forums. As i said, i had OA 1.52, CAT9.4 and 9.6 prfiles under win7 and CF is definitely working with corresponding FPS increase just to be sure again: dont use -winxp switch under win7, other than that i dont know what could be your problem :( IndeedPete : try the -maxMem=2047 -cpuCount=4 -exThreads=7 startup params, should ensure that arma2 uses maximum of your resources (also, notice maxmem limit, its 2GB no matter what you have (doesnt count filecache)) - if you GPUs are both in use and only 50%, that seems to indicate other bottleneck, or power saving in your GPU or the prfile doesnt work correctly for 5xxx series.. Also loosing sound is indicator of a bigger problem me thinks - maybe problem with your onboard shitty soundcard (drivers)? :)

Q9550, 4870x2, CAT10.4 + 10.6 profiles, ArmA2OA latest patch from homepage: - trick is to rename Arma2OA.exe to arma2.exe, otherwise CF wont work - confirmed - DONT use -winxp parameter on win7!!! Although you will get both GPU usage, u wont get any FPS increase + horrible mouse stutter in menu - also, CPU runs pretty much under 50% for me, GPUs at about 90-98% - that said, framerate at beginning of benchmark 01 went from 20FPS to 30FPS aprox. so it makes apr. 50% performance increase - sound number samples doesnt matter FPS-wise: if you have anything better than VIA onboard s**t - well, actually i presume; tested with SB Audigy2 that said, i run at 1920*1200@100% + normal AA, most stuff at high/very high, distance cca 2300 also most modern cards get BETTER FPS with SHADOWS HIGH or VERY HIGH !!!! Presumemably, normal(meaning low) shadows drawing doesnt use advanced 3D HW features in modern cards... ---------- Post added at 07:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:13 PM ---------- + setting commandline with below helped to get another FPS boost -maxMem=2047 -cpuCount=4 -exThreads=7
