ARMA II Beta Builds Released: Latest version/build: 1.04.6xxxx
Patrol17 replied to mattxr's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - BETA PATCH TESTING
Are you using Alpine Arma Launcher? I do and all I have to do is to check the box "Use beta *.exe" and "Beta mod at high prio" under the tab "settings". The path to Arma II.exe above these boxes should lead to the original exe and not the beta. To keep it short, no changes to be done despite checking the two lowest boxes in "settings" and then you can load mods as usual. -
Perhaps this is something for you? http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?p=1427213#post1427213

Drinking water, MRE's and soldier's needs...
Patrol17 replied to Blake's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
I like your idea. But as other say the gameplay is more or less combat oriented and most missions aren't long enough to justify drawbacks for skipping meals etc. Though, I'd love to play a more RPG-ish version too, with longer patrols and such where that would be necessary. A totally unnecessary detail, but cool anyway, would be if soldiers picked up their canteen to take a sip automatically now and then when in safe mode. -
Having the same problem. No servers appear, even by searching the server's ip in "remote" doesn't work.

Operation Arrowhead: The questions and answers thread
Patrol17 replied to W0lle's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
According to the interview: What is the price for the expansion? Jennik: A medium rangeed price, not a full price for regular new game. Not that I thought Arma 2 was expensive though, it depended more where you bought it. Paid almost half the price of what it cost on Steam for the boxed dvd-version. -

It is a stand alone expansion. You won't need the original Arma 2. -

I hope it comes in 2010. I've barely scratched the surface of Arma2 yet. It gives me some more time :p -
I always end up reinstalling and replaying the first Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six:Raven shield and SWAT 4. Great games if you play alone but even better co-operative. Maybe these games lack some of your asked for realism features, but I'd definately call them "fast paced and semi-realistic".

Man, think of having that beast appearing out from the smoke. Cool clip, thx for showing.

commanding men issue: "all follow all?"
Patrol17 replied to lastn1ght's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
For the first question, I think the answer is in here: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=83980&highlight=follow For the second one: If you're the squad leader you can give waypoints and other fast orders when pressing "space bar" (the quick order button). Maybe it is that you've occasionally have done?! Or maybe you mean the high command view? If so, you press "left ctrl + space bar" to switch back and forth to this mode. -
Juridically it's not OK, at least not here in Sweden (don't know about Hong Kong). My advice for you is to hold out two more weeks and get the full experience with the copy you bought.

If I understand your question right, you can find the answer in answer two here http://www.tacticalgamer.com/armed-assault-armed-assault-2-discussion/140085-answers-armed-assault-ii-q-post.html "Yes. The main campaign supports cooperative multi-player mode and includes the possibility to save and load mission for all participants."
