Hey no problem! There was no confusion! I have overreacted!:p So far, so bad: OA is crashing all the Time, the GEAR -Sound at running has no function anymore and i cannot record the game, cant make Videos any longer! Don't get it... trouble shooting is on the way, but i'll take a while! Next Video u can see in the next half Hour! Thanks so far. Jarhead *UPDATE* The is now online. First: Thanks for your comment. Secondly, I would reluctantly compare with other Soundmods! This is MY Soundmod and he should also sound like my Soundmod, and not according to some others. Ok, copied and imitated better is good, of course. But I like the first way I have chosen to go. Apart from that: This mod is not finished yet! The complete list of weapons is still a thousand times revised. But thanks, I'll take a look on it! Apart from that, I think it's very honorable that my mod is compared with the large, the "Stars" like HiFi, CSM or ACE. I do not think that my mod can ever keep up with these ones. My mod is a little too futuristic and mirrors for many players not the correct simulation value! Thanks so far. Jarhead

Ok, before u kill each other here, i´am nearly finish with the SCAR Sound. I will make a new Video tonight and show some of the new Stuff. For example the new Soniccracks, SCAR, M14. I´am going to test it now and tell u in a couple of hours (or Minutes) if the SCAR is god, or not..... we´ll see. Thanks so far. Jarhead ***** Ok, test it a little bit, the SCAR sound is too loud, don't really match to the rest. Fix that. But the new "Sonic-cracks" and thereby resulting battle sounds are great! I like it pretty well so far. Some fixes here and there and it should be got for a new Video. But it is already 1 AM in the morning here and I really need a break now. Jarhead

M14 is done now. Hard work to find a god matching sound. Working in SCAR now. For now i have 16 Sounds, only for SCAR. But there not matching to the rest, so i have to work on it a couple of hours. Thanks so far. Jarhead

Ok, the good message, the mod runs with OA, all weapons and sounds are integrated beautifully. the bad message, I get some error messages. In addition, Bohemia has a new PBO system that can no longer edit with the usual programs. This throws me back a little. I need urgently the SCAR entries for my Config. I was playing the OA for a wile now and its great. The new 3 Maps are awesome, new effects like the laser and the new Head-Moving by firing a gun are really nice. This all give some inspiration for new sounds. For example new Ambient sounds. SCAR and M14.... yes, i really don´t know why Bohemia are not going the Simulation-Way with the sound. Always want to be a great Sim and mess it up with crappy sound... Of course i´ll try to change it, but i have to look what i do with the config. Because there are a lot of new entries, for explosions, all the new guns (about 20 or so) and so on. The Config part will going to be hard for me, but maybe Mark XIII can helps. But get ready for new sound-test-videos. I´am not going to play the campaign, i will wait until my mod is really ready for OA. Thanks so far. Jarhead

Thanks for the nice words. Most of the Sounds are from Videos, Games and real Videos. Each sound of a Gun are contains minimum 4 different sounds. The blast at the beginning, the immediate echoing, the sound of different mechanisms, such as for example the snap of the G36 loading lever, and the active resonant wide. Each weapon has 8 different sounds split of for single, burst and automatic firing. Over 600 (six hundred!!!) new footsteps to make each step sounds different like the next one. 200 new Weapon sounds, 250 new sounds for explosions and impacts, soniccracks and so on. And before i forget: complete new ambiente. New Thunder, Wood, City, Wind, Houses, Night and Day sounds. All in one its about 400 MB big and contains more then 1200 new sounds. So, now i have to work on it. There a lot of things i have to rework. Thanks so far, Jarhead

Sry I have not made reported. Today I again had a little success with my config and can approach me slowly the first release. Before that, I still do a little video and will have fixed a few little things. There are still some weapons not made final at this time. But that will not for long. So a little patience ... Not for now, sry. It's all in a config file and very compact. It would be a huge effort to split the config. Perhaps a little too much for me alone. But it can be done in any case. And I've been thinking about it too. As far as I could test it yet, it is entirely compatible with other addons. Whether ACE or BW-Mod or something else. Only in terms of other sound mods I'm not so sure. This will overlap and then crash maybe. And Thanks again. It is cool to get such feedback. I will now go on and take a look at the rest of the guns. Then the complete Enviremont. The Movement is also only in beta phase. There are still a lot of intervention. A new Update-Video is already on the road. Perhaps even this week. Thanks so far. Thanks :) I think about that. Maybe i make a Beta-Testing-Phase. For now I'm on my own with this, but its allways great to have a feedback from others. For now, I'm thinking about a new name. I think that's the name War10Mod not really reflect what the mod contains. Maybe you have some creative ideas. It is always a relaxing time to think about something else than the whole configs, sound files, and so on. So post your creative ideas. I'm ready for everything.:D Thanks so far. Jarhead

Thanks for the nice words. This motivates me to continue to work hard on this. I had this mod nearly completely finished. But when I then wanted to present the War09Mod, Arma2 had just appeared. And then I decided to port the mod for this. And the new scenario also needed a new edition of my sounds. But the sources of my sounds are rather small, so I have to edit most of them by myself. This takes hours of testing phases. But thank you, that encourages me in my project. Thanks so far. Jarhead

I will change what i can change. Means footspteps, weapons, vehicles, Weather. A totaly sound overhaul. But its hard if u r doing a big project like this alone. so, it will take a wile anyway. Thanks so far, i still working on the Riflesounds and will upload a new video (without backgroundmusic^^) as soon as posible. Would be nice to work with the Dynamic Sound Sys. Sounds really interisting for me. Ok, i´ll be back soon. cya Jarhead PS: Working now with Laza. I will initially work without ACE. I will equip every weapon, pistol, rifle, Cannon, all tanks, cars, trucks, helicopters or aircraft with new sound effects. I will study every single weapon, just watch and listen the real sound and then duplicate it. The means to equip hundreds of weapons with new sound effects. A lot of work for me. The new Video is ready to upload. later

Hi friends, I wont to present now "official" my new Sound Mod for Arma/Arma2. I will be start to convert it to Arma2 the next days, first i have to take a look at the game. We have the advantage that we arma2 already appeared, so at least in germany. So I can start by fully! It is probably the first positive surprises and as far as it looks very well run. What surprised me, because the graphics are very good indeed has become. (Sry for my bad english, hope u understand what i say/write) Thx for Comments and Help anyway. Greetings from Germany Jarhead

Hello everybody, i come from germany, so, sry for my bad english.. I have worked on a sound mod some month ago, then i found out how great ACE mod is. So i made a rework of my sound mod to use it in ACE-Mod. The problem: I have no idea how to make a config file and so i used a config from a other sound mod for ACE... thats why i dont wont to upload my mod, even i know, how to make an own config... So, here is a short video shows u "some" of the new sounds in the game, and some sound (only the env-sounds of the vehicles) are from the other sound mod i have to used. Please, tell me what i can do better, what is perfect and whats not. (hope i get no trouble put a youtube link in here????) Thx for any comments and criticism... and sry for my english, its terrible to hear in your ears i think..:) gruß Jarhead

hi, for my editing i use Acoustica 4.1. this is my fav in editing. and to convert i use WSSFileConverter. if i have to confert! The weapons and all other sounds can be used in wav in the game, i dont have to convert but with the movement i get in trouble... there i will convert back into wss.... today i will finish some weapons and edit something at the vehicle sounds and the enviremonts... than i have to edit: All the impackts all the Movement some Vehicles reloads and a hole work and writing stuff into my config... this take the most work/time.... and by the way, did anybody have an idea were i can get sounds and effectstuff?? dont wont to atke sounds from other games our so... gruß Jarhead
