    very good mod, but i think you should keep the vanilla names in the changelog, since we got used to them since the beginning. when i wanted to try the new vehicle proprieties, i got totally confused.. what the fuck are the 'Pandur II' , 'LGS Fennek', 'Zil' or 'Merkava' ? lol where would be Arma3 now without the modding community... :j:

  6. i partially agree with St!gar about the gameplay (its far less fun than ArmaII) and here is my 2cents of what i consider as bizarre and lame campaign story-line and logic design flaws:
  7. what you were thinking when you were creating this campaign? why the weapons , ammo and items i loot from the downed enemy soldiers do mysteriously disappear when i get to another mission in the camp? this has been since the beginning of arma series, there is no way to store neither continue the missions with personalized loadout, what a shame

    great do you think you can create an additional UI to easily create custom cargo load outs and carry outs for the units with ability to save & recall 'presets' , a bit like it is in the Virtual Armory System mod? for example, in the mission editor i want to create a custom set of items a riflemen or a grenadier will have in its inventory.. same would be for what is inside of any vehicle , aircraft or a civilian etc this is in order to make the mission creation quicker and more 'user friendly' and of course avoid to fuck with manually writing one of those annoying init code line and making mistakes.. you know ;)

  14. don't have the game yet, but i was one of those "SAR" 2,3 and 4 fan , so i was wondering if there are search & rescue helicopters with same type of features and equipment in them and also corresponding missions/campaigns ? Since SAR died after their last version 4 in 2003, it would be a good idea to "transpose" SAR style stuff and bring it to live in TOH as an expansion/mod and have that orange Dolphin chopper too or something similar just my 2cents for the future ...

Hi have tried to search for this with no results :( what is the init command to have the cargo ramp open on an empty / parked C-130 for example, or any other vehicle having similar animations ? should be such init command called from within the unit initialization, or it should be a trigger/action and or waypoint? thanks

  21. I guess Bohemian Interactive Studios has done NOTHING new or major game engine improvements since 2001 Operation Flashpoint 1985 title. Even with the latest expansion Arrow Head (released this summer of 2010), to me, this game has still the worst car/wheeled vehicle dynamics ever found in a computer PC game. (just nothing has been improved or done since 2001) I'm saying that because i have been a fan of the game since its earliest release of Operation Flashpoint 1985, and up to this day (JULY 2010) -that is almost 10 years later, i have seen VERY VERY minor improvements of the game's core egine itself. NO matters if you play Armed Assault or Armed Assault II or even Operation Arrowhead, It all just feels the same as almost 10 years ago,... i can state that clearly NOTHING NEW has been made or even improved compared to the feel of the old Operation Flashpoint 1985. That includes Armed Assault v1.0 as well as Armed Assault II and Operation Arrowhead expansion, whose content is only new retextured units, some new vehicles and of course some mission/campaign SCRIPTING JOB , all of those are based on the old Operation Flashpoint 1985 game's engine that had very poor core's improvements! this game could be already burried and DEAD if there was no SDK, and i really say big thanks to all the people who makes addons for this game! Since the selling factor of a game is primarily the graphics and VISUALS, there is no wonder that Bohemian Interactive Studios has totally neglected the main coding and game's core engine improvement! Because, since their main income has been already made since the very first Operation Flashpoint title, and they have made enough of money (mostly Marek) , there is no wonder why since 9 years he didn't pushed hard about the new improvements or the game core engine. Meanwhile, there was "other game titles released", and for example, lets comapre the way cars behaves in GTA IV and compare the way how cars and other wheeled vehicles behaves in Armed Assault II. The difference is highly shameful for Bis! Well, i'm not asking BiS to make a highly advanced car racing simulator, but at least, since 2001, i see NO DIFFERENCE in car handling behavior in Arma2/OAH or Flashpoint 1985! and that is very shameful and outrageous! Operation Arrowhead is just a new island, new retextured units and vehicles that has been made using the publicly available SDK and that were packed up as some "expansion" for commercial purposes and to add some more money to Marek's ACCOUNT so he can spend some good vacation somewhere in Bahama's or so I have played and finished the Operation Arrowhead campaign. It was a short one. I felt strictly NO IMPROVEMENT in the game's core engine compared to Armed Assault II. Also, the original version as it is, just sucks. Because not only the SOUND and VISUAL effects are so poor, if you don't install some THIRD PARTY COMMUNITY addonds, the game would never worth be buying! and as well, i just dont understand why they didnt officialy hire that people who did the VOPSOUND , WARFX and JTD addons. only by installing those addons , it totally changes the feel of game and immersion compared to the WEAK and POOR original stock version of the series.
