Notepad++ not tried editing yet, but seems to load it fine T.Y.

Dam can't remember why I needed to change this, I have been Bug Testing for my Game Design course recently so there must be a bug in it somewhere that I spotted. Will have to re-check it and get back to you... UPDATE Yeah it was bugs (spelling) that I was wanting to correct. This is with or without trying to open it in UTF. Textpad used as program, which should so it as it is designed too.

My installs totally screwed there was no mention of needing a patch before installing BAF cheers.

We paid for A2OA so I would agree that if BIS updated the A2 stuff and released it free, it should be dependant on the user buying A2OA then we won't feel like we bought A2OA and got ripped off. Though you could argue we still got the campaign and missions in A2OA. It would be nice to have all older A2 and even original Arma, A2OA capable as this would enable bigger multi-team missions to be made. Just thought... with BIS mixing the forums, kind of states they want us to treat A2 and A2OA as one game, so yeah update all content to A2OA standards. The money from A2 BAF could be used to fund it. UPDATED: Looking into A2 BAF it looks like they are bringing across some Factions with only a few differences.

Alot of people prefer the Official Content and allow custom sounds that may or may not be heard easier would give an unfair advantage.

You got a very good point there, in other threads they discuss things like Community been broken because of the Expansion and soon to be DLC. So the question we should be asking here is where is the Official Community? as in people who just run Officially Released content.

Had a quick flick through but I am not going through 65 pages, so here is my thought whether someones posted something similar or not... MP servers - are controlled by Users not BIS, so it is up to the community itself to run A2 Standalone, A2OA Standalone, A2OA BAF, etc. DLC - as BIS said we will still get free DLCs, reguarding paid DLCs; we already know the quality BIS can give us, this will allow longer term support for fixes and new content. In turn helping BIS grow, to enable them to develop even better Arma's in the future.

Just bought Hardware: Acer GD245HQ 23.6" 120Hz 3D Widescreen LCD Monitor Nvidia GeForce 3D Vision Nvidia Geforce 8800 GT w/ latest drvver *already had the Graphics card Settings: Postprocess effects: Low Shadow detail: Disabled Interface Resolution 1920x1080x32 3D Resolution: 1920x1080 Nvidia: Issues and reommended settings ----------------------------- Troop icons are 2D Laser sign is 2D Troops icons leave rendering artifacts on right and left edges of screen Smoke causes halo Shadows dob't render correctly Go to Options/Video options/Advanced Shadow detail = disabled Postprocess effects = Low Notes: Terrain and Vehicles seem fine (A tree branch actually came out of my screen). Can't use guns in 1st person you just see 2 gun shadows (not been able to find a setting to fix it). Ironsights have the same issue apart from proper scopes. Had a good time playing for a while in 3rd person using a Mk17 Sniper SD, but playing like that obvious your game plays very limited. Dev's: Any chance your going to look into 3D improvements? And if not what would the community need to do, to have ago at it ourselves?

People who have edited other games would probably see Map Editor as the Mission, as in other games you got a Map Editor that was everything Map and Mission. So it is quite understandable how the mistake could be made, maybe a Native Operation Flashpoint translation post would help people who are new to the lingo.

I have been trying to edit the \\ArmA 2\Expansion\Addons\languagemissions_e\stringtable.xml file to DeBug errors for my Game Design Project, unfortunately due to the Wiki Quote above I can't without converting some characters that don't exist in "ANSI Latin I". Does anyone know or even a B.I. Dev. answer this one, how to open the file for editing?

As far as I remember it is a timed patrol, so I'm guessing stay there until the time runs out.

Brief Feedback: Website - slow File Downloader Download - slow 400bs - 4kbs Actual Download - struggled to connect, watch tv, it connected and my internet was at max speed, went to bed, in morning download finish and now installed. Overall Comments: I expected the website to be slow or dead there isn't a computer on the planet that can handle all us hungry fans wanting to get some. Once the download had connect it had very good speed through out. 10/10
