I played many many many hours of Operation Flashpoint CWC and then got the expansions xfire doesnt show this as i stopped playing the game when i got it. What i meant to say is why judge someone by the games xfire has logged them playing? You dont know what your talking about there is healing system for OPF:DR lol you just made all that up =P TBH i like how you command your troops in Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising from the videos i have seen of the command ring.

My game keeps freezing and crashing on Boot Camp. Ill redownload as i may have gotten a corrupted file. :\

When i talk to people i knwo about ARMA 2 and OPFDR they ask this.. "Wtf is ARMA2? or ARMA1? never heard of it" This is the same when i post news of the ARMA on other forums. OPFDR hasn't even really began advertising properly and it already has more fans than ARMA 2

Its pretty quiet over here in Aus there are a few communities around but i havent seen any fansites in Australia. :(

If its going to be so hard to release a War Sim on say the xbox why would BIS even bother they should focus on the version already released and get that fixed if a console release isnt scheduled for this year.

Is it Possible to set a view distance for different things? For example planes rather than just a field in front of you and setting other things like at which range do Trees disappear at so the same can apply to aircraft. Some games do this but i am unsure as to whether ARMA 2 does...

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is truly a different game than ARMA 2 of course they have their similarities but they are focused on different communities and players. The game may attract some Operation Flashpoint 1 fans but mostly gamers who are tired of cod etc but dont want to play a simulation like ARMA 2. OPFDR will be more of a tactical FPS however having similarities with cod it is truly a different game than that and will require more skill and knowledge to play it. The community of ARMA is a small one you have to be honest even though it may be a great one it will not have the numbers that Flashpoint will get as it is being released simultaneously on PS3,360 and PC there is a good chance that its community will grow and collect players from many different types of games. People need to realise this isnt going to be a sequel to OPF1 but it can still be a good game which i hear ArmA 2 is without its many bugs.

I am just wondering if Steam will be releasing the demo for this game as it is the place where i download most of my games from. I can see it is releasing the game itself as well so is a demo from them possible to make for easier (more reliable) downloading?

If it does get one then it cannot be sold in Australia because there is no R18 rating and any games worth getting that rating so are either dumbed down (violence/Swearing) or not released. SO will it be released in Australia dumbed down and given a MA 15+ rating and i can stop worrying or have to download from alternate source :j: Please be nice i hear this forum tis far more Aggressive than... Others ;)

I guess its not as easy to create a large open terrain like this and model all the terrain outside the map so a repeating terrain is most likely, Unlike Sahrani which was an island so you wouldnt really care wats "out there" and over that hill.
