As I'm curious if my identification is correct, and as all I've seen in this thread is young blood, I'll post this... https://scontent-a-dfw.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/q71/s720x720/555842_651737808184365_1509585705_n.jpg https://scontent-a-dfw.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-frc3/q71/s720x720/1234967_651737984851014_1955559837_n.jpg The question is, is that a B-29, as I initially thought when I snapped that on the beach at Pendleton 3 years ago? If so, it'd make it Fifi. If not, I'll just go sit in a corner with a microburst over my head.

What you're looking for is similar to it, if not a variant of it. -

Kind of reminds me of the old SEA camo from the Vietnam War. -
Advanced Object Library Mod
Darkhorse 1-6 replied to gagagu's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
A compilation might be possible, but a mod, no. and of course, some addons may break others, etc. -
European Union (Fictional - ArmA III Setting)
Darkhorse 1-6 replied to jinzor's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
The idea is a very good one. Reminds me of a book I read called "Cauldron", where France and Germany created an alliance called EuroCon (European Confederation) and swept up the majority of Europe under their banner, eventually going to war against the US/UK and the few European powers that refused to join. -
WIP UH-72Lakota project

I think the best way would be to simply make an extra version, a Medevac version, with the stretchers modeled in like the medevac M113, etc. -
"Opening up Arma 3 to paid user-made content" - How?
Darkhorse 1-6 replied to gammadust's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
I'd like to point out that people steal/rip Bohemia content all the time, and there have been documented cases of people stealing/ripping models from VBS, with it's supposedly superior protection. -
Hm. Any chance you could provide pictures of what you're talking about?

Bohemia SDK out yet?
Darkhorse 1-6 replied to vagabond985's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Hopefully it won't take too long this time around. I think I remember reading a Dev comment somewhere saying Oxygen will come shortly after the release but that Visitor will take longer, which is a bit annoying for my terrain work, but oh well. Now, if they don't provide us with the updated tools we oh so desperately need, I think people might riot, so we should definitely see them in the next 6 months or so. (Hopefully much, much sooner.) -
They took what was usable in A2 and put it in A3, simple as that.

Excuse me, kid, but are you on drugs?

All in Arma (AiA) - TKOH/OA/A2/A1 merge with A3
Darkhorse 1-6 replied to .kju's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Well, OA was technically standalone from "ArmA 2". Also, they'll have to draft a completely new EULA if they are planning on exploring the paid community content scheme. -

I'm surprised it didn't pop up during the beta, honestly. -
All in Arma (AiA) - TKOH/OA/A2/A1 merge with A3

I wonder if that includes A2:OA content... -
Unified Addon Standards
Darkhorse 1-6 replied to comp_uter15776's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
This has been tried before. For probably at least the last decade. In the end, addonmakers make stuff because *they* want to. They stop when their creation is something they can be happy with. You won't see very many addons up to TKOH or A3 standards for a very long time, mostly because for every level of detail and functionality and the like that you add to something, you're talking, usually, months of extra work. BIS is going to be looking into a paid community content scheme, this straight from Marek, and that will be enough, I think. Possibly even too much. -
Getting Arma 2 Dog script to work on Arma 3
Darkhorse 1-6 replied to netsend's topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
There are no dogs in ArmA 3... (The Pastor was the dog, I think. The only animal you can use in the script for the forseeable future is the rabbit. Seriously) -
Unified Addon Standards
Darkhorse 1-6 replied to comp_uter15776's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
So... basically you want addonmakers to agree to meet an external set of standards and only those that do will get your little badge/seal of approval icon, if I'm understanding this right? -
Greek Island Vacation Simulator 2013 - Story sharing
Darkhorse 1-6 replied to nicklomas's topic in ARMA 3 - BETA DISCUSSION
I'd share my story, but I walked into one of the many biohazard quarantine domes on the island. Nobody will let me leave now, and nobody will answer my questions. Luckily though, they haven't found my cell phone ye- -

Arma 3 SeaLife Project
Darkhorse 1-6 replied to Sealife's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
If we don't see a Sharknado mission within 1 week of you releasing this, I'm going to be very disappointed in this community. -
I'd like to see Germany in the 80's. Make a full scale Cold War gone hot scenario. They could then stretch that game out for as long as 10 years. Imagine all of the legitimate DLCs they could release. Start out with US vs USSR, and then expand it via DLCs into NATO forces, French forces, the Soviet Unions member states, and everything else that would see action in such a conflict.. They could even have a fairly large empty ocean terrain with the carriers being fixed objects and having usable escort ships, subs, and naval aviation.

[WIP] Pilatus PC-21
Darkhorse 1-6 replied to Redphoenix's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Just be careful about free models on the net. It'd be wise to provide links, because the majority of the "freeware" models out there are actually ripped or stolen. -
Dwarden, I meant that in a very positive way. You will survive the nuclear holocaust, make your way to the Bohemia HQ, and live out the rest of your days cackling in a triumphant yet evil yet depressed manner, while training mutant rats to go out and bring you food and training a dog to search for surviving women. The day the world ends will be the day I lose faith in BIS. (I'm disappointed though. You guys should have a giant underground complex where all your community can ride out a nuclear holocaust while hooked up to VR sets with ArmA 17.) I was just saying I wouldn't believe Bohemia would turn against the community like he was implying. I can see a paid DLC of ArmA 2 content, to give everybody the "Current" equipment they miss, but first we will need them to provide more content, for free, in future updates so that we can fill out the ORBAT the way it should've been filled out if events hadn't prevented them from doing so.

You completely misread my post. I was chastising him for telling us not to speak out because "if we do BIS will turn into EA." (Note: not his exact words, but essentially what he meant.) I'm pro-Bohemia, pro-Speaking up, and pro-Patience. Not once did I say BIS can do no wrong. They can and have. However, though it's been shaken several times, I still have faith in Bohemia, and for now that faith remains.
