Hey guys. I have looked everywhere for a tutorial on how to not only make a hat, but the specific areas in which I need to model on a soldier's config. Can anyone make a campaign hat for OFP. I'll attach a picture below, but I'm not even sure if it's possible. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

I've been playing OFP since it came out, and I have never seen a DI addon. And even at the beginning of the West campaign, our "DI" is just a West Officer with a field cap on. Thanks for the suggestion about the semi-truck addon. That proves that the idea can be done. Now I just have to figure how to make mine. Cheers

OK, i'm embarrassed to even ask this question, but oh well, here it goes. I was to lazy to read all of the pages. Where did all of the pics for the HMMWV's go? I think i am about to cry or something. Those were keeping my hopes alive for OFP. But, i understand if you halted work to finish real life things. Wait, what am i saying, that is my life.......how sad of me.

I will look for the mission I have somewhere I d/l'd once. Someone made a really good effort into being able to carry a wounded or dead soldier like on a stretcher. Problem was that for the meantime, the dead patient was just floating in mid air between the two medics since no stretcher has been made yet. It is a cool idea, we just need the ability to create a collapsable stretcher. Anyways, email me at [email protected] to keep in touch and so I can email you back the mission.

I think it's a great idea. I know lots of ofp players are not in the military presently, or are not old enough to serve yet, but think that this is a great learning experience for all. It is only a game, but think about those players who go on to serve, and they can look back and say, "Hell, I remember this tactic on a game I played! Let's try it that way!" Maybe even an aid to just getting the idea of how we did it when we were active duty. Hope the idea works.

Most of us are noob's at all of this, and some are not. But for the noob's, what if we just asked permission to use scripts from other aircraft and modify them to fit in. I'm talking about the Coast Guard's auto-gear script, the AH-64's tail rotor damage and enginge extinquisher, the BAS cargo ability to stand up in rear, etc. I suppose it's not the noblest idea out there like having the smarts to create it out of our brains, But hell, some of the best addons out there should be added together to make superior work even better. Just an idea I would be willing to do.

I got it to work and loved it. I was reading the other posts and admit that I only tried it with a soldier on desert island. Can't say that I too won't have the same problems. Like many others, I use a mod folder or two to play. But like it says at OFP.info this is a beta version. Can't wait to see more of the feedback. Keep it up.

Hi, I'm txemtp2004 or DocRptr. I have a load of info on the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior. I wanted to know if anyone out there would be interested in being able to use the IR optical mast site located above the rotors to snap a picture of enemy activity and be able to transmit the result to say someone in an Apache. First thing is, me creating the concealed optics display for the gunner. Next is to be able to make mast rotate, and then be able to snap the pic. After that, I'll work on the MP function to transmit the pic to other teammates. To make a long story short, but too late, I wanted to know if it sounds like a good idea. I know it can be done, it'll just take me some time. Give me your thoughts.

Well, you're right about one thing for sure. It's hard to get the permission from like 30 people for all of the possibilities available. I may have jumped the gun on the Mobile command unit. The addon is really for the apache(or my thoughts, that is) and for a limited other units. As I said, I'm trying to make it to where you don't have to set up triggers or anything. The more user friendly, the better.

Yeah, it would be fun. I am trying to play around with,(and I won't release it w/o permission) the idea given about the M977 MCU. There is a script I found for a moveable satellite view. I stayed up all night making a MFD panel. If you are the commander of the M977 you could be able to use the satellite view or obtain the Kiowa's picture. Hopefully, without having to set up triggers. Maybe just with addAction menus. Not sure yet. And as for the "sticky keys" for window views, I'm not sure if that can be done. Though it needs to be. I agree, flying close to trees is a trying experience. Keep up with the ideas.

Bobcatt666, I agree with what you said. And I know that most people don't use the scripts correctly. I haven't been able to play online due to never having all the intended addons for a particular host. The idea is lengthy, complex, but man I know it can be done. Like you, not sure how many people would use it. That's why I posted it here. Thanks for the input. I guess it is like trying to set up the mission for something like CoC's command engine.(so many triggers, scripts, and waypoints, and variables to enter.)

Guys, thanks for all of the suggestions here. I am more excited every post that I read. And each one of your ideas needs to be incorporated. The MFD display will look basically like the MFD inside the Kiowa, just enlarged. And yes, it already takes me away from the gunner position looking straight out the window. To be honest, I need to get BAS permission to play around with their scripts. Along with many others. I will search the forums for all of the email addresses. If you have any info on some more ideas, I would appreciate them.

Yeah, I agree, with everything you said Bobcat, Plenty of Kiowa's out there. I'm still kinda new, so I'm learning as I go, but hopefully, it should work. Problem is, it dives into how to modify other aircraft to receive the transmissions, live or snapshot. And, live, I think, is much better also. As you probably already know, battlefronts change by the second. Any ideas on the other aircraft that should make the list for receiving the transx, give me a line here or at [email protected]

Thanks Grunt249. It would have taken me a few seconds to find them also. OFP anim is great, I guess the commands/animations will work with just about any person you decide to use it on. I'm still trying to read the script on how the NImitz calls up the "Land on Deck1-4" procedure, and the "Launch from Catapult1-4" CNN, I have a group of Navy, Air Force, and Marine all in Class A uniforms, put out on OFP.info and made by CCO. Problem is, that they never show up in the editor list. Sure it's probably a scripting error, but maybe you'll want it.
