Nice Mission as always.. Tried to play with public yesterday. Me as GameMaster. Couple of suggestions from me.. 1) JIP-Visible Objective marker. Example here in Doolittle's script pack http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=91149 2) Ability to delete Obj Marker (or make delete function do it as well) 3) Respawn markers only visible to side or friendly sides (for PvP Reasons) 4) Disable factions at the Start/Lobby thru params. So that people cannot join the enemy side. GJ again .. -

It seems OK. As long as you have the bi.bikey in the servers arma2/keys folder, it should work OK. It may be clientside. Is it the same for everyone who connects or are you the only one tried yet. If so have someone else try to connect too. -

post your server.cfg here... Dont forget to hide the passwords. Also give me your server info so that I can connect and see if it does the same for me too... maybe its your client. -
We've added the Razoreniya to Kellys Community YAS Repository. African foliage is in the same folder but there is no server bikey for it. There is no different versions of bi.bikey...they are all the same. The correct command is verifysignatures. Add these to your server.cfg verifySignatures=1; regularcheck="{}"; onDifferentData="{}"; Battleye=0; -

Well... Ondrej has spoken so there is no need for further discussion either about what PR should / should not do or whether this thread is mature or not. It is an addon/mod and will happen whether you like it or not and there are some people trying to follow this thread to see meaningful discussions about the mod itself over the leaked info instead of useless comments about other posters or the thread. Some self-censorship please. -

1-Set the TS to Continuous Talk 2-Set the Hotkey (same key for Arma2-Broadcast) for StatusChange>Toggle>Microphone So every time you press broadcast key combination in ArmA your mic is activated/deactivated in TS as well, allowing to talk using continuous transmission.

Sorry what you say does not makes sense. I'm not equating threads to cores. I can see individual threads Arma is running and their addresses. And CPU usage for each ;) What I see is 1 thread from 1 address @12% usage and 8-10 threads initiated by another address @3 % each. I can't get what you mean by "heavy" threads ? You cannot assume the no of threads a game has just by looking at the CPU utilization.

It has one separate thread utilizing 12 % of cpu time and another 16 concurrent threads using approx 30% cpu. These 16 are probably from the same worker. Around 8-10 of them are active with 3-4 % utilization each. There are some other threads as well but used time to time. Total number of threads is around 45-50. So it is not 3 threads but 2 main threads, 1 of which has many subthreads so to speak, or concurrent threads. It is probably for geometry and the one with single thread is for AI. So if geometry is still one thread then it means the memtraffic trade-off is bigger than the performance gains. So it is by choice ;) .. for the current design. My i7-950 works @ around 35-45 % utilization having all 4 main cores +2 HT active with ACE on. So it utilizes all the available cores instead of maxing out 1 or 2. I dont see any improvements by turning off HT. Maybe it is system/OS dependent etc.. The cpucount command is to limit Arma to use limited number of cores before the appl assignes itself to cores, rather than assigning cores thru taskmanager which does it after the appl launch.

You are mixing up the multithread with multiCPU. Multithreading means running two or more calculation cycles at the same time rather than one after another. Like doing AI and Physics calculations at the same time. The limitation is more of a design & technology issue rather than time & money. One of the main issue you need to handle is the dependency between those calculations. PC already uses whatever is available to calculate the given job if you do not assign CPU cores to the application. It will assign the CPUs at the start roughly by judging the load on them. So ArmA2 is a 2 threaded game because they've managed to split some AI calculations from other calcs while keeping the dependencies and synchronization intact. If it was possible (or even meaningful) to split geometry and make all threads talk to each other, they would probably do so and it would be a 3-threaded game utilizing 3 cores. This would of course kill the game performance for all the 2-core players. So you see, not only it is a design issue, it is a business/financial choice as well

We will update CBA only with the ACE cycle...ie every Moday & Friday per the latest changes. You can play ACE just as good with the previous version so no showstoppers there. Same for all the other ACE components such as ACE,ACEX,ACEPLA,ACESM, unless critical. -
Veryfing Keys - Specific on Dedicated servers

AS TAXMAN SAID EARLIER.. Just crate a copy of your Arma2 folder and rename it to Arma2Server2 So each server has its own ArmA2 folder, thus, keys folder, server settings, missions, addons etc... It is better for avoiding file conflicts and easier to manage There is no command for specifying keys folder....ie unless any undisclosed by BI. edit..happy now? :P
