I think this is an nVidia problem, I have a similar card and the same issues. Your solution works though.

What does this mean, 'deal with it locally ".... ? It would be nice if a developer from BIS would make a statement here. Until this is fixed I will just play something else. The game ArmA2>OA has become unplayable for me and many of my friends. Thanks BIS. I play OFP / ArmA etc since 2004 but maybe it is finally time to drop this game. Tired of all this patch business and Beta and other things .... BTW> I also find it extremely amusing to suggest to patch back to 1.54 when many servers are already patched to 1.55.

We play an ArmA Cup right now and this 1.55 patch with all it's 'features' has already resulted in one team dropping out because they cannot play anymore due to the BE error. This suck's _ pardon my language. We cannot just disable BE as we need it to catch cheats in the league. Please try to do some better regression tests before the next patch, please.

I have the exact same issues. I run W7 64bit, AMD2 @3.21 GHz, GeForceGTX285, DirectX11, 8GB RAM. Is someone collecting system specs to see if there is a pattern with the performance issues ? There seem to be a lot of players with the same problem. How can they release a patch after all the Betas and introduce this problem, sorry, I do not understand this ... And to say, yeah, we wait until the next patch .. great, this is not good at all... we have league games and some players cannot play anymore in a normal way like before patch 1.55. Sorry I am so angry when all I want to do is play this game :inlove:

I experience this too and some from my clan as well ( some have geForce, some ATI video cards. no pattern ... ). Screen halts for a few seconds then continues, especially when there are many objects nearby like AI or buildings in cities. Textures do not appear, buildings in the distance appear only after 10 seconds or so, landscape looks barren , then trees etc appear. Feels like my computer changes 5 years back .. My system > AMD2, 4 GB RAM, W7 64bit, GTX285

I have recently experienced problems with ArmA, it locks the PC after a while ( from 30 to 1 hour ), so that I have to powercycle it to get it running again. Driver problem ? Only installed the latest Windows updated in the last week.. Running nVidia 8800Ultra driver 7.15.11.6925 Vista Ultimate 64bit Athlon dual core 6400+

Great stuff, this really looks promising. I agree, there could ( and should ) be more mods situated in other areas, not only europe or afghanistan etc... cannot wait to play it
