Yesterday at work and having the radio on in the background, wedding this and that. Yes the House of Winsor may soon get a new male heir to hold their line to the crown, good for them! Well, it was on OA not A2. Playing insurgency on Zargobad with fellow clan members, we had 2 motars set up, used those to good effect clearing a few squares, then it got real late so the collective stupidity of us all came out. In the middle of zago proper we got owned except for one player who was trapped in a building dropping bricks and insurgents (Gawd his cries were funny!) So those of us respawning at base decided to do a recue mission for him in a SOV hummer, but the twist was, having 2 motars crewed, we plotted the route we would take and using the motars to fantastic effect, had them perform a creaping barrage with us racing just behind the dropping shells. OMFG it was funny, 81mm shells blasting just infront of us, the front 240 blazing away and the AGL swinging left to right trying to cover the side streets. Amazingly we got to him and pulled him out, only for the driver to think if he had enough speed he could knock down a brick wall, EPIC FAIL! He got us stuck in the wall! Urghhhh! We all then legged it to the mansion on the east side of zago, screaming for the life of us to get there alive. Cleared it and got to the roof to watch the fireworks of the motars. The arty guys then said "We got a wicked barrage for you just wait where you are." So we wait, "It's comming! Going to be wicked!" Wait, and BOOM! Pricks dropped that barrage on us! Then it was time for bed, stlll giggling. Fun times.

Like most people think, PMC is weak compared to BAF. Just wish the proving ground map was a full 25x25 job with towns and stuff. Would of been happy then

For a start, a Challanger 2 for BAF. Sticking to the desert theme, IDF style or ADF? ADF. We all dream of it, shooting from the inside of a vehicle! Bipods and forward grips do somthing perhaps? Not sure on this one, better implementation of the LD. A waypoint in the editor, for helicopters, called "combat unload". From the last move WP to the unload, the heli slowly reduces speed, adjusts its decent accordingly, flares before landing and lands where you put the WP in line in the direction it was flying. Troops get out a bit faster than normal and away the heli goes. None of this flare as we hit the WP and go up to +200m then circle twice to land somewhere else while loosing men cause we are so high up. Keep it simple. Bring back bridges and get the AI to cross it on anything other than safe and careless. Keep up the good work. Think thats it.

+1. Can't belive I didn't return DR in time.And I only played it for 10 min! Make your own missions, but, implement as many triggers and scrips you can. The time you may spend debugging it, certanly will strech its life out a bit.

Herd about OFP when it came out, first played it at my brothers place 6 months later,then got it for myself. First it was aiming through iron sights ,the swaying and that one hit and you were dead. Then that mission early in the campaign where you had to escape south, with a hind patroliing above. Fun times. Then came the editor, "You mean I can do whatever I want, where I want!?!" Awesome. Then I got dial-up (This is 9 years ago!) and I discovered addons. Boy, did I go over my quota that first month! But damm, my imaganiation was having a feild day in the editor with all these new toys to play with! Then Resistance appeared in my hands after many months of searching. Finally unlocked all those addons I couldn't get to work! Sweet! Wasn't untill ArmA that I discovered the fun of MP and not counting on the AI to do the right thing. Only problem I have with MP is it killed SP for me. Least the human pilot can land that helicopter faster. With all the things that sold me all that time ago, they are still there. Add ontop of that, it just keeps getting better and better. Still want to shoot out of cars though;)

Got me: OFP Gold, Resistance, ArmA and Arma 2 on disk. QG, OA and BAF via sproket. Couldn't wait for the retail box on those. Best FPS ever!

My favourite, when you get in the shit: "FUCK! 1 is down! This is 2, taking command." Walking down a narrow street and thinking "The AI would never get through here on aware." Looking at a bridge and thinking "Bloody AI". Then looking at the water "Bloody AI". Seeing a Blackhawk flying along and wondering why it ain't going as fast as it could. And marvling at how steady the flight is! Walking down the street and wondering when you can afford the PC to allow that many civies in your mission AO without your fps goIng less than 25.

Well, iin my humble oppinion, t's the best shooting game ever relesed to date. Then you have what you can fly/ drive/ shoot ingame. Then the addons/ mods, etc. The community. The good people we play MP with (Ya know, non-rambo, non-boom stick snipers pilot types.) Then the jewel in the crown, The Editor. Happy days!
