Sorry, I guess what I was driving at maybe wasn't clear. I mean making some weapons configured up to have attachments already on them so they can be added to AI units. It's my understanding that you can't just give an AI unit, whether through a config or the editor, (for example) an RH M4, a scope, and a laser - you have to have a different weapon already configured with a scope and a laser attached, since the AI doesn't attach items to weapons itself. This means if you want to use RH weapons to make some new units, you have to config not only the new units themselves, but also any weapons you want them to use (at least those that have attachments). I don't know how hard this would be for the weapon addon maker, as I have no experience with or knowledge of weapon configs, but if possible it'd be a nice touch for all of the units people are making with RH M4s/M16s.

RobertHammer, not sure if this has been asked yet, but any chance of adding some weapons to this release already configured with attachments for mod makers?

The U.S. Army did a study in 2003 on average soldier combat loads. The data (including the breakdown of gear carried) is publicly available here: http://thedonovan.com/archives/modernwarriorload/ModernWarriorsCombatLoadReport.pdf It only looked at the Army and I think some of it is a little dated, but you might still find it useful if you haven't already set up all the loadouts.

Help modifying an existing config

Okay, for the time being I have scrapped the ammo boxes and am just concerned with getting the guys in-game with their replaced weapons. I have them to the point where they appear in the editor and in-game - but when I preview them in the editor they all appear carrying just a smoke grenade (no replacement weapons or anything else, literally just a single smoke grenade). I added a couple new units and they show up just like the others. Here's my config, including for the ammo boxes, at the moment: If anybody could help me out with either or both of these problems I'd really appreciate it. -
I'm trying to modify SJB's SAS units to use STALKERGB's L119A1s and PUKF weapons. Where I've run into trouble is trying to modify the ammo boxes that come with the SAS units to match the new weapons. I get an error when trying to launch the game that reads The relevant (I think) part of the config, including the two entries before and after, is class _xx_ukf_sigp266_mag { magazine = "ukf_sigp226_mag"; count = 20; }; class _xx_ukf_sigp226_SDmag { magazine = "ukf_sigp226_SDmag"; count = 20; }; class_xx_ukf_10rnd_762x51_mag { magazine = "ukf_10rnd_762x51_mag"; count = 20; }; class _xx_HandGrenadeTimed { magazine = "HandGrenadeTimed"; count = 12; }; class _xx_SmokeShell { magazine = "SmokeShell"; count = 5; }; I can't see what the problem is there. I tried removing that line and it gives me the same error for my ukf_law80 entry instead, which is class_xx_ukf_law80 { magazine = ukf_law80"; count = 2; }; I tried a forum search and couldn't find anything helpful on the subject. Can anybody help me out? Thanks in advance.

My Glock 17 came with two 15-round 9x19mm mags and I got two more identical ones after-market. Edit: By the way, I am in the States. And sorry for the off-topic.

Amazing work, Cameron! These are the best-looking ACU yet IMO, and I really like how we finally have a full "set" - medics, APC crews, AA, etc. None of the other ACUs have those. -

Is an M16A1 being added in v. 3? I skimmed the thread but I can't remember if it is and I didn't see anything.

What about an RPD? There've been plenty of RPKs, but the only RPD I know of is in JAM.

Any ideas where we might be able to find one? I searched OFP.info and ran a Google search and nothing came up (except Sgt. Stryker's Nomex Deltas).

My PC crashed and I had to reinstall OFP, and since then I can't figure out how to make mod folders work again. The shortcut is: The folder is OperationFlashpoint\Res\Russia, and in that I have an "Addons" folder that has all my addons in it. I've got another one for U.S., U.K., Tonal, and Mideast. Any help?

These units are absolutely amazing. I can tell already that I'll be spending most of my time with OFP with these guys for the next few months. I'm trying to get some weapons that look as good as these guys (the JAM weapons IMO just don't match up). The RHS stuff works great, but anybody know of a good FAL out there?

Amazing work! I've been looking forward to this for some time, and it's exactly what I'd hoped. Just out of curiosity, are all the Marksmen supposed to have AK-74SUs? That seems a bit odd to me...

I've never done any sort of configing or much scripting at all, so please bear with me. I want to change what a soldier is able to carry, the specific slots he has available. In particular, I want to make my RHS Mot. Inf. Artillery Soldiers and Drivers able to carry a full set of gear instead of their current setup of one primary and four magazine slots. I want them to be able to carry the full set of gear like any other soldier. I figure the unit's config is where I'll most likely be able to do this. So, is it possible? If so, could someone sort of walk me through what I need to do and how? Thanks.

I have to agree with Heatseeker. The only thing that makes urban combat unplayable for me as it stands is collision detection and the A.I.'s inability to work with buildings. The sights and everything else have never been a problem for me in close-quarters shooting.

Wow, outstanding work! I can't wait to hunt some Chechens in this thing. Seconding what others have said, I'd love to see armed versions if you've got the time and willingness to make them.
