Well, nice to see you're still around with this mod pomi -
Hey guys, I would like to ask you a question, I bought the game on steam the first day alpha was released, should I be getting the kart dlc for free ? (i'm asking because i don't have it :P of course) IIRC the steam alpha package ($32.99 USD, have my ticket right here) included the future dlc for free? Or maybe I'm wrong? (many long time, much memory fails)

Campaign equipment and personell persistency
Zek replied to instagoat's topic in ARMA 3 - OFFICIAL MISSIONS
I have collected ngv's in every mission, and in the next one... no ngvs... ofp resistance was better at this. -
Gave it a 7, it's good, some weird things (like the AAF shelling the camp and then magically stopping without sending a sweep force). The major problem I see is that some missions get complicated not because of the mission itself, but because of the AI and the terrain. Enemies shooting trough trees with pinpoint accuracy, friendly AI being completely slaughtered for a variety of reasons (stance cycles, not falling back when ordered, among other things). To me that ruins the immersion. Campaign itself is good so far.

Nice idea man, interesting setting. Have you considered adding Canadians in the same role as (or maybe replace) the british? They're closer and have badass hardware as well -
Hey abs, thanks for this tutorial. You might want to know, (maybe because of a recent update) it seems that the steam_api.dll is required in the P:\ drive, because if it's not present my buldozer crashes to desktop. I'm using the stable branch, dunno what happens in dev. I'm still getting that "No entry 'Config.bin.cfgBuldozer' " error but it's working anyways :p

Congrats LJ, you made an outstanding job again :)

There have been some mods regarding that conflict since ofp times, made by both British and Argentinians , the mods died because they didn't raise any interest. Actually they raised more flamewars in the forums than interest. The islands IRL are almost flat desert like terrain with some small greener areas, and let's be honest, no one in the world cares about the conflict other than us Argentinians and British. As I said some months ago in this same thread, I don't think it's a good idea for BI to portray a real nation as the bad ones, because in some countries that would led to the game being banned. I happened with Iran before it was renamed to CSAT. And maybe you don't care but just think of the people who invest time in learning to mod the game, and then find it banned because some politicians feel offended by a game they don't understand. And for BI, that means less money. So a fictional nation, and everyone is happy. And I would actually like other nation to be the good guys, it's always US/UK. IDK, France, Canada, Germany, Russia and Spain among others, have baddass armies. (I don't really see it happening anyways)

From a south american: South America may offer a good opportunity for a new setting, the only problem that I see with that if that this new setting features real south american nations fighting against "good guy" NATO the game will probably get banned. It has happened before, and I'm sure it will happen again. If the main setting is about the internal conflicts / dictatorships from the 70's, it will get banned too, a lot of people are quite a bit sensitive for that (you know, it was like a holocaust). So the best idea if going with a south american setting IMO is to create (yet another) fictional nation. A setting like jagged alliance 2 would be interesting. (Fictional south american country, evil ruler, and bunch of mercenaries sent by the true leader of the nation to save the country...). Now, one of the good things about south america is the terrain, we have jungle, deserts, forests, mountains, snowy regions, beaches, you name it. Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil and Chile are the countries with the most geographic diversity. Another good thing, as some other people pointed out, is that there is a lot of military hardware diversity, some nations prefer western hardware, some other prefer Russian, but you can see weapons from both sides, and sometimes even within the same armies. I don't see BIS going back in time to the 60's or 70's, the engine has improved a lot and there are a lot of things like scopes, lassers, and whatever, that they might not want to drop. For ARMA 4 (or 3 :P ) I would like to see inner rivers :P and snow, that would be awesome.

I took this screenshot the same day of the A3 alpha release, 3 BIS games in steam top ten sellers: http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/27/a3dayzero.jpg A day to remember :)

I have been playing the series since the original operation flashpoint, my best advice is: Patience. If you are not sure about your target being enemy or friendly, dont shoot, if your marksmanship is bad, put some targets in the editor and practice, if playing in public servers don't go lonewolf, you will learn more playing and cooperating with other people. The problem with servers like wasteland nowadays is that people is very competitive (at least in public servers) and team work is rarely seen there. Try some coop missions. The learning curve for this game is hard, but once you understand the basics, you will enjoy the game a lot.

Hi Vilas, First of all let me say thank you for these wonderful addons you've released. I found an issue with the Vintorez VSS (both PSO and NPSU) in your east weapons pack, it doesn't show the zeroing values in the hud, I know the zeroing is working because if I change it, the bullet flight changes as well, but the current value is not being displayed below the ammo counter. Idk if it has been already reported , I've been searching the forums for a while and didn't find anything about it. I downloaded the addon from the frontpage of this thread, and i'm running it on CO version 1.62.95248
