I certainly don't think nothing is wrong with the current MP mentality, I was simply stating the facts. I'll leave it to server admins in this discussion to answer why they don't host PvP missions.

There are many groups that play PvP (FUSION, Dragon Knights, ECL, Charlie Foxtrot, to name a few), but it's not played in public because most server admins choose not to host them.

Vanilla sounds in A2CO are the best they've ever been in BIS' games. I really don't know what about them "kills immersion." The only thing I don't like is how many of the snipers and the Saiga-12 all have the same sound. :p Also, few people seem to realize the costs DICE sunk into just the audio side of their recent Battlefield games. Much greater priorities to me than just sounds (hey, ArmA had horrible sounds and I still played it in a vanilla state for years!).

I didn't think I would like the Mass Effect series until Cole pressured me into trying them. Only after I had my mind blown by both of them, easily turning them into two of my favorite games of all time, and reading articles about them, did I ever sit back and think about how little the events of ME2 must have meant in the long run. Despite the shortcomings of the story that were revealed to me I still had my mind blown while I was playing it. I think that was the case for most initially, but it looks as if people then jumped on the hating bandwagon, especially when ME3 was announced. /offtopic :p

Then you better put it to work. You obviously know very little about Arma 2 and what it does, or how your PC works. Want to know how I gathered this? You're comparing its performance to BC2's. You don't give any indication as to how fast your i7 is. There are many different clock speeds for i7 processors. You think 62 FPS is low performance for your PC. So rather than your first post being a rage post, make it so people will actually want to help you next time. Until then, you will be ignored. Rage again, and it may lead to posting rights removal until you can calm down.

I felt the colors of OFP and ArmA were much more pleasant to look at for extended periods.

Ah, so this is why you posted a completely irrelevant picture in the Arma 2 photography thread. In my personal opinion, you have bad taste if you think Arma 2, even if it was in the state you describe it to have been in, was worse than Black Ops.

Browsing the CM forums I came across a very good post. Despite Red River being a pretty crappy game in my eyes, I am always saddened when lower-level programmers, artists, etc. get sacrificed after a game's poor performance thanks to idiots like Lenton, Browne, Nicholls & co. calling the shots. It is them who should lose their positions for failures like Red River, but I doubt that will be the case. :(

This. I would forget my computer was pretty much dying trying to play ArmA. Until it actually died. 4 times. Thank God for warranties. :p

If you're looking for the best combined arms simulators, you'll like BIS' games. If you're looking for the next Call of Duty, or Battlefield in this case, you won't.

Why don't you post the information I asked you for, rather than jumping to the conclusion that it's the game that has the problem? :confused:

Both coop and PvP are about reaction skills, planning and performance. I don't know why you feel one has to be exclusive to the other.
