You are on the official forums for the ArmA series of games, raizjames. If you aren't a fan, what are you doing here? And to any normal gamer that image comes as quite a shock. It's rather pathetic how the gaming genre, rather the FPS genre, has devolved to such a point that every game is simply a copy and paste affair, and then you have people like yourself who don't think there's anything wrong with it... Only a few come out that actually have enough to make you want one over the other.

No, Sprocket users can't play the game at all until the 29th. The activation it requires you to do before the game launches won't accept any keys until then. GossamerS was faster. :(

Yes, everyone has SecuROM, but only the Sprocket version requires an activation.

That could be the case, but when I saw it the first thing that came to mind was they were set to careless rather than safe. If you look they actually perfectly locate the shooter and stare at him as he shoots them. I've seen that happen so many times that it automatically screams careless mode at me, but I could be wrong.

The activation is only required for the Sprocket download. The retail DVDs don't come with it.

Well, in any case, I'd definitely make sure you back stuff up more in the future. When working on my campaign I kept backups each time I worked on it on both my portable HDD and my FTP. Helps to avoid situations like this I tell you, especially when I was forced to reformat once... Definitely change the thread title. :p

Well, that's very possible. I don't know if a mission allows it, but open the mission editor and try it yourself. What you want sounds like it would be very easy for a beginner to make. Give it a shot!

Uh... ACE only brought balance in the sense that it's the only mod used now in MP, either it or vanilla. Unless that's what you meant. I personally don't consider that a good thing...

"Affirmative Sweeper 1, it's just a pile of scrap metal now. Over." "Then continue with your mission Sweeper 1. Out." Seems there was a bit of a screw-up there, unless the squad and whoever they talk to are both callsign Sweeper 1, but then who the hell is Sweeper 2? :confused:

Oh God no... They did get that British guy who played OFP:E's Berghoff to put on his fake American accent again. But what's worse is they made him one of the main characters of the campaign. Come on! :butbut:
