  1. Updated on the CiA ACE coop server! You are welcome to join us whenever you can. We are having great games lately! Thanks for your kind words about "Bitter Memories" luizsilveira, do you know that your post is about the first online player reference for this mission? It's just an example to how important a feedback is hehehe... I always thought people didn't like it because no one ever gave any feedback for it. I'm really glad you liked it!

Why do most people prefer coop, not cti?

From now on, this is my anthem. You explained perfectly why the whole "dynamic" concept doesn't work for me. Coop is exactly the will to solve a problem together with friends! Brilliant! This might be the reason when failing a mission I want to play it over and over again until it's completed. I want to "solve" it. PlacidPaul is referring to this. The CiA online mission list is totally manual but having it this way also serves the purpose of keeping track of completed missions. We prefer to focus missions we still haven't managed to "solve" :).

    FHQ Coop Mission Pack 2

Wot!? A new FHQ pack!! Uploading to the CiA coop server ASAP and alerting armaholic!
  6. Pics looks great. I also watched a couple if the videos you made and all really makes me look forward to it!
  7. Well, that same technological advantage is exactly what sometimes makes the game boring. Shooting up poorly equipped takis with ACOG is no excitement. Iron sights all the way!!!
  8. Sounds good Watty, I'll give it a try!

Why do most people prefer coop, not cti?

Wipman, these days are not over. They are relived on the Comrades in Arms coop server. Great, tested missions, selecting a leader, devising a plan on the map together, and working together to complete the mission. We have been playing in this style since the days of OFP, and I can say the experience only improved. Check us out on my signature. On topic: coop brings out the best of us, adversarials- the worst.

    VanhA's CWR2 coop pack (unofficial)

when we got to the outpost there was already a fight going on. I think most of the Russians got killed.

    VanhA's CWR2 coop pack (unofficial)

Vanha we played Bicycle Patrol yesterday. Nice tense atmosphere! However, two problems: 1. At the beginning of the mission one guy had a "mission failed" message. He disconnected and resulted and he was back in the mission. 2. We encountered at the last checkpoint only two enemies. When killed, the mission ended successfully.
  19. Thanks for sharing this luizsilveira! Uploading to the Comrades in Arms ACE coop server!

    Mission Naming Standard

Yeah, I use notepad++ for removing "briefingname" from all the mission.aqm of all missions at one go, and Bulkrename to rename multiple files - great utilitiy! Another important tip for Windows 7 users: Microsoft decided to protect us from ourselves and disabled the option to open more than 15 files at one click of an enter. To change that check this thread. Check also this thread if you don't find MultipleInvokePromptMinimum on your registry.

    Mission Naming Standard

hehe... My logic is as follows: if I'm already opening mission.sqm, why not remove the briefing name completely? When it is removed, the mission name will be the file name! This is, in short our instructions for handling mission names before renaming the mission files and uploading them to the Comrades in Arms server. In short:

    Mission Naming Standard

Thanks for sharing your pack i76. Do you happen to host it somewhere that do not require login? hmmmm... I don't understand what is not entirely true, especially if you are also renaming the briefing name. If it was only the mission file name, you would only have to change it instead of digging in mission.sqm and rename it too. I don't see the benefit of having two names for each mission.

    Mission Naming Standard

That's actually a good thing. In OFP the name of the mission was the name of the file, but now these are two seperate things. This makes it very hard to manage a server with hundreds of missions because every mission maker follows a different naming convention and a given server must follow a single convention. What I do before I upload missions to the CiA coop server is remove the briefing name from mission.sqm and rename the file according to our naming format. This is the only way to keep the server tidy! You can see the result here on our online mission list
  24. Now I see what's been keeping you off coop nights Foxhound! ;) Good job, the site looks great!
