Hello, First off I would like to thank the ACE team, you guys are legends!! Been waiting for a mod like this since OFP's WGL mod! I was just wondering if someone could tell me how to set the option to turn the radio chatter to "stealth" (AI instantly follows a command) I can't seem to find any documentation on the ACE wiki or inside the mod's folders Thanks in advance for any assistance -
Hi, I've just bough QG. I had to unistall ArmA and do a fresh reinstall, and when I started up ArmA, all I can see is 1 new campaign "Rahmadi Conflict" and 1 new island "Porto". Is this correct? I thought there was suppose to be another campaign "Royal Flush" and another island "United Sahrani". Has the install worked correctly? Thank you.

hey, thanks for the reply but i've tryed that mod, but it seems it requires the first version of it, from 1.4 or something and that's only an update to fix some bugs and stuff, and i cant find the original version of it anywhere.

There no need to add NV goggles to standard infantry units. Just add them yourself. Put this in the units init field in the editor: this addweapon "NVgoggles" and the unit will have NVG's oh thanks! I didn't know that

Hi I love this mod!,I've stopped playing ArmA because this was released I downloaded this, plus im using the ddxl, Mr.Burns AEC islands, plus the extra pack, all are working fine and they all work fine except for the air support script witch gives me a CTD. there are only a few things I don't like- 1. the auto-take cover thing. I know it's supposed to save you're life and all, but it's doing the opposite and it's really annoying. 2. could you please maybe change either the russian ak74's or the M16\M4's firing sound, they sound almost the same, and it's kinda hard to tell who's who in a fire fight. also could you please give the soldiers NV googles instead of just the special forces, as with the add-on packs, night is about 3 times darker now and you actually need the NV googles! plus with ddxl the NV affects look awsome! thank you for reading, and thank you for the awsome mod!!

just downloaded this and i gotta say i love it. One thing though, I really find the auto-take-cover thing annoying, is there some way to disable it?

ok maybe i shouldve mentioned but i dont use wgl... not any mod. (atm) and what does hwtl mean? maybe it has been asked before but ill just ask again how do i know if have hwtl? could be a stupid question oh.. I'm not really good at this stuff sorry I have no idea what HTWL is either.

how did you do it? i cant make it to work... i used HWTL, NO HWTL and the 98ME version he first and last worked but i still got the errors + the no HWTL seems to faultive on my end... when i start SLX up it opens ofp for a second or so then cuts out... plz assist me someone. well, my first error was, the shortcut target, i had like "-mod=@wgl5-mod=@SLX, by mistake I put a space between wgl5 and the -mod=@SLX and it worked, bringing up the blue sky on the main menu instead of the default wgl screen, then it started saying the data not found optika-ak-74(magic) and something else about crater holes or something when I shot a tank, and all the trees and bushes had white squares and stuff still.2nd, I dunno really what happend, I deleted the config which was suppose to be the slx-wgl config, then just re-copied it, last I forgot which install.bat I used, so I just did the No-HTWL (xp version), tried it, didn't work, then I did the normal one and sure enough it worked. I've been having problems with this mod for ages too!, I couldnt get it to work with FFUR 2.5 at all, but I've finally gotten it working with WGL 1.12. hope this might help you some way

SimraN: Please make sure you have run the appropriate install .bat files in the @SLX folder, and that you have the .cpp file from @SLX\Mod configs\@WGL5\bin\ in your @WGL5\bin\ folder and that it says "// SLX WGL 5.12 Config.cpp" at the top and that your OFP shortcut has "-mod=@SLX;@WGL5" at the end. Try that and hopefully it might work. :] success!! it looks like I used to wrong install.bat, I used to no HTWL, not knowing what HTWL was, I reinstalled using the normal install.bat and it works perfectly now thanks heaps for you're help Solus, a truly awsome mod

SimraN: Thanks! The missing optic model sounds like the replacement pack isn't installed, and I don't think the WGL config had anything changed except for adding GL3 and SLX Wounds. Are you sure you're using the WGL config? Also, it's the WGL 5.12 config in the SLX 1.08 release. Try installing the WGL 5.12 patch and then follow all the SLX install instructions in the SLX Replacement Pack Readme.txt in the @SLX folder. Hope that helps. :] thank you Solus for replying But I'm still having the same problems, I downloaded and installed the new WGL 1.12, I had to disable -mod=@SLX and restart it as the SLX main screen doesn't show what version it is, but anyway, sure enough it said WGL 1.12 build down the bottom. But I still have the same "error loading data optik_ak-74(magic) and the white squares all over the map. I installed SLX and went into "Mod Configs" in the SLX folder and clicked @WGL5\bin\ and clicked the CPP file that said "config" and copy'd it went back to Flashpoint directory, went into @wgl5 folder, went into \bin\ and clicked that CPP file that said "config" and backed it up, deleted it and then Ctrl-V the SLX config into the folder. I followed all the directions in the SLX replacement pack readme, and the main menu is like clouds and such, and the gun impacts throwing up dust and grass and wounded soldiers work, but I still cannot place any soldiers carrying a ak-74, and I can still see lots and lots of white squares where bushs should be and tree tops and stuff this is what the default wgl5 config looks like as the first few lines #define manposnoweapon 11 #define manactturnr 3 #define manactwalklf 12 #define manactwalkr 15 and this is the SLX config's first few lines I copy'd and pasted // Default OFP SLX Config.cpp // Version 1.08 // Updated 11/29/2006 17:14 // SLX ADD : Additions to file by SLX. // SLX MOD : Modifications to file by SLX. // To add Group Link 3 to another mod's config copy the event handler init from the AllVehicles class and add the SLX sections from PreloadBanks and PreloadAddons at the bottom. All other changes are optional. // To use the new cloudlet effects in another config copy cfgCloudlets, WeaponCloudsGun, and WeaponCloudsMGun over the other config's matching sections. // SLX ADD : Enable radio voices. hello, I'm really sorry if this is a stupid question, but how do I update 5.1 to 5.12, do i just extract 5.12 to Flashpoint directory? or do I open it, and replace 5.1 config with the 5.12 config and put the pbo's in the Addons section into my Addons folder? ty -
hello, I finally managed to get this mod working, I am trying to get it to work with WGL. A few questions, I'm still using WGL 5.1, is SLX 1.8 surpose to be with WGL1.12, because when I'm in mission editor, and I try to place a "REDFOR" soldier who is carrying an AK-74 is says something like "error loading data optik_ak74(magic), and also all over the map all the bushs and trees all have like white squares and stuff on them, should I install WGL 1.12 to fix these problems? any help is apprieated p.s besides those few problems, this mod seems really really cool and I hope to get it working properly ty
