Are you using the Sprocket DL version? If so check here for more info. Sprocket Troubleshooting thread -
Softwrap still did not solved my license problem!!
Sc@tterbrain replied to wolfgrw's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Had this issue once as well. And yes the only reply from BIS wou will get (if any) is to contact IDEA or Softwrap. In my case IDEA/Sprocket emailed me they would add more installs to my account and the next day it worked fine. Be sure that you are using your Reference# and not your serial number. -
Impressive promo video. I concur with ofpforum, one of the reasons I was not a big fan of BF2 was the players themselves. Always felt too much like a spaztastic free for all, lacking any degree of teamwork. (Mostly on pub servers of course.) Although with the right people and well made mission concepts, that looks like it has potential for a good time. Damn it tho, I did give my BF2 disk away

I have been told many times to read "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand so I started it this weekend, and I just couldn't seem to put it down. Its quite the mind bender. Like it, hate it, agree with it or not. Its a great way to get your mind working on its own again.

Are you serious? I guess thats why Cubans make rafts and risk their lives trying to get to Florida.... ...to escape the great healthcare. I am sick of hearing people spout off about the wonders of "universal healthcare." Â NO WHERE in the world where there is "free" healthcare can it be remotely called a success. Just because you saw on TV that in someones opinion its "great" dosen't make it so. Yes, privitized healthcare ignores those in need. Â Socialized healthcare means lower standards for all. Â It boggles my mind how people bitch about the stupidity of government, only to rally for the cause of putting more control over our lives in their hands. The world seems to be eating out of the hand of either corporate, socialist, or religious rhetoric. Â Stop sucking off the tit of group-think and use your own minds people!

After reading "Black Hawk Down" I was incredibly impressed with the research and writing style of the author Mark Bowden. I recently bought 3 more of his books and highly reccomend the one I have read already. "Killing Pablo" - The story of how the US used Special Forces to assist in the capture/assasination of Pablo Escobar. I'm now reading "Doctor Dealer" a book about Larry Lavin, an Ivy League dentist who became the ruler of a vast cocaine empire in the 1980's. And next week it will be "Finders Keepers," another true story. This one is about a Philidelphia man who found $1.2 million in unmarked bills that fell out of an armoured truck. Unfortounately the guy was a bonehead and what ensues is a tragic story that even Hollywood couldn't think of.

I really hope that your assumeing that. He sent me a pm weeks ago asking for my crash files as related to this topic. I did send them but have not heard anything....

Side note but, There was a interesting murder case in Texas where a wife was going to leave her husband for a guy she meet on Everquest. Turned out it was actually a chick. Her husband got so enraged he put the divorce papers under her head, shot her, and staged it to look like a suicide. Weird part is they never would have caught on untill they learned that 15 years earlier his ex-girlfried had "mysteriously" shot herself in the head too....hmm. Someone once showed me a funny web site showing how video games have caused deaths of all kinds, all be it in all cases to mental midgets. If anyone knows what it is, please tell!

It worries me that there is no mention of a fix for all the people with the Sprocket version who crash so frequently. And yet they intend to sell the English version over Sprocket. I sure hope that means they quietly fixed the issue....and I'm tired of relying on hope.

Been quite a while since I played BF2. Â Gave it a go and eventually was phased out by once again more OFP. Â I tried the "new" BF 21..something demo but it just did't do anything for me. Â Anywho...do many people still play the original BF2? Â I thought the addons would have more people now, but maybe EA overestimated that. I think I gave my disk away.....

Wow... What dose this say about society? I'm a "whatever floats your boat guy," but this really gives insight as to what is over the horizon when VR becomes more immersive. Frankly wasting all my little free time in these forums leaves no extra for such things. Thankfully.

Never heard of her. Is that her real name? Oh wait, is this the reality tv thing? I don't watch that stuff.

10 more days until the "release." Â Still have my unplayable Czech Sprocket download version and no word if the "patch" will have a fix for MP. Â Lets revise. According to BIS there is no issue, according to IDEA games they are working on it, and according to Softwrap its not their problem. Can't wait for the release of Game2!

No US publisher? No US distributor? Not likely to be one? Wish I had not bought the download version, at least then I would have a coaster for my beer.

I have been watching this show on the Discovery channel and while the host can be a bit annoying with his overdramitized intensity, I love it. It has me scouring the internet for more information on the weapons and systems, and trying myself to find info on new/exotic weapons. So since I love to read about this stuff I challenge you all to find New/Future/Exotic weapons and systems to share. Â Anyone else share in my fasination with this stuff? Submission 1: XM307 25mm autocannon Many may have read about this, and it should appear in an episode of Futureweapons sometime this season. Â Appears brutal if caught at the business end. http://peosoldier.army.mil/factsheets/SW_CSW_XM307.pdf http://www.gdatp.com/Products/PDFs/XM307.pdf Side-note: Â Third category makes me think "oh my." http://cryptome.org/dtsa-fws.htm

Well, the game crash now only when you play missions where are BOATS. Dont use missions with boats and set up all what i have said on the begining of this topic and game will no more crash. PS: next patch 1.04 will be out around 15.02.2007. Patch size around 500MB and many many bugs are there repaired and remaked. My crashes have nothing to do with boats. Â Most people are aware of the issue and aviod these troubled missions. Â The problem I am refering to involves issues with the Czech Sprocket DL version. Â The link is to direct others with that version experiencing frequent crashes to the thread dedicated to that very issue. I am hopeful that the patch will fix both the "boats" problem and that of the Sprocket version crashes.

any one else tried this with success? Rock, have you had any crashes?

This is another weapon I saw on this weeks episode of future weapons. Â Needing something with the punch of a rifle and the compactness of a submachine gun, H&K has found a middle ground in the MP-7. Â It uses a scaled down round that still has the power to penetrate body armour, unlike the 9mm. Looks cool too. MP-7A1 On a side note, this lil' suker looks like a toy. Defineately the smallest sub I have seen. PP2000

Already tried reformating and reinstalling (new drivers, new hardware, etc). Â Thanks anyway. Â Glad to hear that helped you. Â Dub I don't think you have the Sprocket version do you? If you do then please post the specifics of your solution in the Sprocket trouble shooting thread over here so others can give it a shot and see if it works.

Well myself along with many others who bought the Czech DL Sprocket version don't have a game that "runs." Â In MP the game crashes after 2-10 mins, sometimes less. Â SP is equally questionable as a complete product. Â Unfortuneately resolutions, assurances, and deflected blame have not alleviated this issue. There are many legitimate gripes by customers, and most have been expressed by now. There have been many explanations, defences, and counter-points (attacks) to those gripes. Â Again prety much all have been used. Seeing as I have been rightfully dinged for my "pointless" post of a picture that contibuted nothing, I truly hope that the moderators will also come down with a heavy hand on the continuing fruitless back and fourth. Case in point is the current discussion of what is "deserved" and what is a "right." Â This exercise in semantics is every bit as pointless and takes away from the issue at hand. I apologize to those with genuine grievances, and pledge to only contribute to furthering the message of this thread.

Heh I drove by this place this summer. Â And let me tell you, from the freeway it puts a clear image in your mind as you look at these two towering... structures. Which reminds me. Â Since there are plenty of crazy hippies still willing to swim near there, why not mutant surfers. Â Or even mutant surfer hippies! I mean look at this guy...I believe he is ready to grow another arm or two. ...or maybe even a fin! Having been nibbled on by a shark myself don't discount the utility of the jaws as a weapon.

And now let me introduce you to the new VP of Marketing and PR!

Want "documentation" ? Fine go over to the Armed A Graph thread. I would love to see the official number of copies sold vs. the number of people who play it on any given day. Â Just look at the number of players online at any given time. The number of people willing to blindly defend and flame may outnumber those who take issue with the "release"...but only in these forums. Attacks on those with critical opinions just drives them away, but it dosen't make you right.
