I loved the music from OFP, Can we get the same quality of music for ArmA 2? ArmA 1's had no music that's memorable or new compared to OFP

Oil will not completely finish, just that its new supply will dwindle down, many countries Oil reserves are going down, back in the 20th century US produced more oil then any other country, the oil production peaked in the 1970's after that every year it gets less and less. there are many factors that play this, the current oil wells in Texas are cheap and easy to drill, so they have been used since the 1800's but the fields never completely dry up, they just have less and less oil left in them(deeper), there are places that have oil but its not available cause it costs like $100 a barrel to produce and process it. Alaska would be an example and the off-shore production. Russia would also be an example, Russian oilfields are just as old as America's. They are dwindling too, they can increase the production of the oil but it will cost $1 trillion dollars to increase, Currently Canadian light crude is also starting to get harder and harder to produce. Our oil sands have enough oil to last us a 100 years, but it costs us $100 dollars to produce.

you guys should unpack the '.pack' files to speed up the loading times, The entire game is packed away in like 5 files, it takes forever for it to unpack and load the game. (you can even do some modding if you like)

Maybe its just me, but does the limited amount of time seem to imply that by the end of the hour we should all hurry around the house/office to turn on all those lights and appliances that we don't need? Surely it should be something that people are doing all the time as opposed to for one hour only as part of some charity's publicity campaign. I agree about that, if your not using the light or appliance it should be turned off, I personally doubt that there will be  a large difference in my households electricity consumption, I might turn off the TV and PC which run like 10 hours a day for that hour. (i gotta grandma that watches TV non stop, leaves it on even when she goes to cook or something)

lol i can image a mission where you have to protect your herd from the evil collectivization from the state, you gotta guide your herd across the border without the commies finding out

its a symbolic measure to raise awareness of the Situation, there are people out there that believe we shouldn't take any action to become sustainable, I think the situation is beyond Global Warming, and more on using resources more efficiently and reduce our demand of fossil fuels,(which i personally believe, are limited amount in the world, not endless supply )

How do AWACS work on the Falcon game, could you launch a AIM-120 and the AWACS can guide it to its target if its BVF or Beyond the range of your rader? do they have real radar range info for like the APG-66/79?

A lot of cities that participate reduce their energy consumption by like 10%, which is pretty good, We in Canada are pretty Green thinking except in 'Texas Wannabe State, Cowboy & redneck, liberal hating, pick-up truck driving' Province of Alberta, Where heavy Polluting Oil Sands are located. They increased their electricity last year during the Earth Hour. I hope they find a way to be sustainable without lowering our quality of life.

anyone started moding the demo?, i got the americans playable and increased the unit sized for the line infantry to like 120 units. In the demo the AI is scripted to stay still till you cross the river, i took out that script and now the AI did pretty good in defending, I also enabled the deployment phase, enabled the spikes and fortifications,

could someone correct me if i am wrong, But i read somewhere that the reason why UT3 for Xbox 360 didn't have mod support because its against MS's Policy for Custom content on the Xbox 360. This might be a concern for people looking to port addons onto the Xbox 360.

some remote dirt paths would be nice, but i hope they are not random like in ArmA 1, or like OFP where in Nogova there was a part that went from road to dirt then road again.

How would this game compare to other ww2 RTS? Brothers in Arms arcade style or like Theater of war style?

sir, the situation i'm trying to explain is this, communist forces in Arma one were part of a 'legitimate' organization, they are expected to behave some what organized. But in reality Communist armies are usually Conscripts which don't have the best moral, also North Saharni do not posses the Infrastructure to train modern fighting force (their armies are like 80's/late 90's, the T-72s and the KA-50 would be closer to our times) They are expected to face off US Marines, which have one to of the hardest military programs in the world. I would atleast expect the commies to behave differently (I am not saying the Commies should only carry a flag with the hammer and sickle and charge into the marines lol) But alas i will drop my case on the ArmA one In ArmA 2 the CDF is not a legitimate organization from their behavior in the video they are a revolutionary group that have access to military hardware, but i seriously doubt their abilities to train their units with up to par with US Marines or Even former Soviet Spetznaz units Edit: What was i thinking CDF not being legitimate organization, CDF is the military force of Chernarus. I guess i was talking about the ChDKZ lol

slumdog is over rated, lol no wonder the Oscars get crappier every year, the slum that the movie takes place has been already been razed down, also it's main plot comes from an old Indian movie, When a remake of an Indian movie wins the Oscars that shows that the Oscars are worthless. Idea for RPG : (the old one from OFP where u had to build factories to build vehciles and things like that) those trains could be used to bring in supplies and fresh AI units Also Idea for SP mission: Loot the train carrying weapons and tax money from the CDF forces   and then divide the loot among the poor and hungry

the Indian SU-30MKI has alot of Israeli input it, it supposed to be a big gap between a normal Su-30MK and MKI, the airframe and radar is Russian the rest of the electronic gear is Isreali imported. The Radar isn't that bad either its supposed to have a detection range of like 200+km for fighter sized target, though the only weapon that can reach that is a AWACS-killer missile (un-maneuverable), the next best thing would be like a R-77 which has like 120km range.
