Guys, im making a mission 3 helicopters player controlled patrolling the island with lots of enemy targets. Just wondering how I set a rearming point for the players, and is it possible to repair also? Thanks for any help.

Hello, This weekend I created my first mission, I used a script to add a rearming point for helicopters to the mission. I have exported the mission to my multiplayer missions folder, but when I start it I just get the message script is missing? Can anyone tell me what I am missing here, i'm sure there is some thing I need to do to get the script included in my mission PBO. Currently the script is a separate file in my missions folder. Thanks for help in advance.

Thanks got it working but how do I compile the script to be part of the PBO? At the moment when I start the mission, I just get the message script is missing?

Hello, just finished making my first mission, quite proud of it. the mission is just to kill the enemy base I have squads attacking the enemy on the ground the players are in gunships. Anyway I want to be able to play my mission on a LAN but I don't know how to get the mission from the editor to the multiplayer scenario menu. Can someone please explain what I'm missing?

Hi, I know the location of the mission files but do I need to create a pbo file or something and then move that somewhere else? If so how do I create the pbo? At the moment my mission is only available to play if I go to the editor and preview it. I would like to host the mission on a LAN game and have other players be able to choose from the playable units in the mission. Hope this makes sense.

I've recently come back to playing arms 2 for the dayz mod, but the first thing I noticed was all the grass was white. Found out that this was something to di with the level of AA I was using, on my new 7870. Is this a known issue and will that be fixed?

I dont see any harm in making a campaign which has a similar style to CwC. It is by far the best campaign BI has created well Res was very good too. What was good about CWC was you felt like you were just a cog in a vast military machine. BI could easily if they wanted to come up with a new campaign set in a fictional country in a fictional war and just tell an intreasting story of 1 unit in a larger war. Just tell that story using the military sim as the vehicle. Which is what I felt CWC did. I've not had as much fun with any of their more recent campaigns as I had with CWC which is a shame because I am always waiting for a game which could give me what CWC gave me, the feeling of being in a war.

I most want more campaigns for each game, so another Arma 2 campaign featuring marines, regular marines rather than force recon. Another OA campaign possibly a pilot campaign, flying choppers for the US army and another Brit campaign for BAF maybe an SAS campaign. Basically I want more missions which don’t need to download any add-ons for unless BIS includes them with the DLC. I would hope the above would be free and only charge for DLC which adds new units. I know there are missions available through the community but they usually aren’t as polished as the BIS stuff and need loads of add-ons which I don’t want to have to look around for, I already spend enough time not playing the game trying to tweak the graphics, to want to spend more time searching for missions/units to install.

purchased today and its great, hope to see more contant soon for BAF,OA and Arma2.

i have bought everything BIS has ever made, just like a lot of others here and just today bought BAF. Its great love the extra missions and campaign, so hope to see more for the same price. I would love BIS to do some more missions using the existing stuff, I for one dont have time to sift through all the user made stuff to find a fun campaign or mission and trust BIS so am happy to pay for official stuff. I love the mission just flying the Merlin, wish there were some more missions like that, plus would love a full campaign as a pilot, taking part in huge troop lifts and flying CAS in various choppers. So please more missions for Arma 2 & OA & BAF plus paid DLC for more factions/ campaigns. Keep it up love OA and BAF are both big improvements over vanilla Arma 2. Maybe a multiplayer DLC would be cool too, maybe one which was easier to drop in and out of, sort of like battlefield 2 but using the arma engine and only a chunk of the map with flags to cap and tickets to bleed from the enemy. Think that could be good and maybe bring more players to Arma the people who enjoy the more hardcore stuff dont have to play it if they dont want.

Guy I think that its a real shame that there is only 1 official campaign available for Arma2, all the effort BI put into making the game world and its only used once, unless your prepared to hunt the net for addon's. I would like BI to do something like Rockstar have on the xbox, and releae new campaigns for Arma2. I would not mind paying a small fee for these campaigns, and they could release a number of them, making BI a bit of cash in the process of keeping us entertained and giving us more units we all crave. Would anyone else like to see this, keep in mind that BI probably does not have the resources to do somehting like this for free hence why they are releasing OA already, to make them selves more money.

in my opinion BF has always had a brilliant sound engine, I remember playing BF2 on ultra sound, was awsome could actually here where choppers were in the ed space around you. The rest of the engine wasn't as good though.

Sweet i'll definatly check out that campaign, just wish there were more of them, there is obviously so much effort put into the units and island, shame they are not put to more use. It would be cool by me if BI did some DLC similar to how rockstar have for GTA 4, new stories using the existing world, would save on production costs and ern BI a bit more money to invest back into the product.

I agree with the above prster the game feels like it was designed to be played from 3rd person, I only switch to first person for using IS. For some reason the game just feels right player from 3rd person.

Hi Guys, just got back into Arma with the 1.14 patch, played all the missions and need some more (have ordered QG). Can anyone link me to the best SP missions preferably ones that don't require any other add-on’s or not too many, though would download whatever is needed to play a decent mission or campaign. I guess you think I’m lazy not looking for myself but time on my computer is at a real premium and I’d rather spend it playing, so all your help is very much appreciated plus I guess I’m not only person who would appreciate this type of resource. Anyway please post away. PS sorry mods if this is in the wrong section.

Just wondering, what animals are included in armed assault, i.e. what’s roaming about the country side, I’ve only spotted dragon flies and moths plus seagulls. I remember seeing videos with sheep in and dogs, possibly was a mod or from VBS before Arma was released. Can anyone confirm which animals are in the final version? The reason I ask is because I love the environment in Arma and I’d like to think that there is an ecosystem going on around me as I creep through the undergrowth. Plus be cool to see fields full of cows/sheep and fighting around them, or creating a stampede. Also the fences can you jump or climb over them? I'm sure I climbed over a wall in one of the cities during the cleansing operation mission, but then could not climb over a fence in a field on a later mission.

shame about the animals being left out be great to get them included in a future patch. Could even have a hunting mod. I'm sure imanaged to skip over a wall in one of the towns, even got an animation of my guys legs hopping up over it i'll try and get teh exact location and try it again. But couldnt get over any fences.

i've sigend up but wont be able to take part for a couple of weeks yet, sounds exciting though.

Yea i wish Bis would implemet some of the comunity fixes into Arma clean them up abit if needed and make them official as part of a patch. Maybe it'll happen we'll see, still i enjoy playing Arma anyway just some of the community addons add alot to the game and should be in the game for all.

Hi I have just started playing Arma again, never managed to get a decent online game though. What do i need to downlod to play the warfare game everyone else is? I have Arma patched to 1.14 but when i use the in game server browser to try to find a game i dont seem to be ble to get in many and there arnt many warfare games up.
